Ok. So every time flight 808 passes over Cali this week we get what looks like a missile contrail because of air currents and what not. (and the optical illusion effect) Alright, so *every* time this plane goes on it's route we can expect this? I'm not saying it's a wrong assumption but isn't that just a *bit* odd? Why aren't other planes this week in (In Cali even) having this happen, IF indeed we are even talking about the same aircraft every time? Is it just weird air currents, is that the explanation??edit on 9-11-2010 by Wookiep because: (no reason given)

I would respectfully disagree for right now.
If this was a aircraft all they need to do is present the radar track and IFF info.
I too served in the navy as an Operations Specialist while on active duty. (fancy name for radar operator)
If they had this info which is required by all aircraft to have a IFF transponder and to have it turned on during flight at 35 miles out they should have been able to call this info up pretty quick and put this all to rest. But that has not been done.
Which means they lose all credibility (and confidence) in my eyes as this is a complete failure to track an aircraft in a post 9/11 world and is a totally unacceptable failure of the defense of our country.

In the video taken by the media you can clearly see a fireball at the end of whatever was making the trail. It seemed to glow and flutter a whole rainbow of colors. Is that standard for a commercial airplane or an "special edition" add on?

I may be a little late, but here's a loop I made of the "stages firing", or whatever you want to call it. Light reflecting off the "plane" or whatever. I created a youtube account a few minutes ago just for this clip.

US808 is a UPS flight? Okay, I have friends that work for UPS at LAX airport. Maybe I'll ask them if they've ever seen one make a contrail like that.
