If this was a plane like some of you state can you tell me why at 45 secs into this video there is a green flash at the nose of the "plane"?

I was hoping to post the same observation but you beat me to it.

At 45 seconds you can clearly see alternating red and green flashes, as in aircraft navigation lights.

Its an aircraft.

Okay lets turn it on a other way. Lets assume it was an airplane. Shouldnt the FAA know about this?

Was there a plane at that time and location?
Can FAA confirm this?
Etc...

Has anyone even asked the FAA?
Amazing how throwing the word missile into the story makes everyone forget about the FAA.

We can do this ourselves, with help from a planespotter who knows how to use the flight tracking site.
We do need more exact information about the time of filming, location and direction of the camera.

I've already posted this idea a few pages back, but I thought I'd flesh it out a little bit more:

Facts:
- About 2 weeks ago, the U.S. military lost contact with 50 nuclear missles for nearly an hour.
- A few days ago something that looked like a missle launch could be seen in the skies above Phoenix.
- Yesterday another missle launch was observed off the coast of CA.
- The official response to the supposed missle launch off of CA has been mostly silence, with a few conflicting reports from various sources.
- Obama hastened his return home today from his trip to Asia.

Theory:
- Some group gained control of these 50 missles and has since launched 2 of them - either intentionally disabling them after launch, allowing the U.S. to do so, or not anticipating this capability would be available to the U.S. military.
- These launches are either attempts at using the nukes or demonstrations of their capability meant to threaten the government.
- The military was initially unaware of the extent of this breach until recently, at which time the severity of the crisis required Obama to get airborne and/or return home.

Thoughts?

Clarification:

Still, some payloads ARE launched form the West Coast, into orbit. Mostly Polar orbits, from that location, as the inclination of the orbit gives it a path out over the Pacific on ascent, and no danger to anyone/thing on land.

With this we'll start to hear rumors of attempts to deflect incoming debris from "Planet X", Niburu, etc. since it's supposed to be approaching from the southern polar axis

I'd love to see the 'commercial airplane' that left that contrail...ridiculous as swamp gas and weather balloons. Where's the air traffic controllers at? At this point in time you'd think SOMEBODY would have come forward and said "Yes, that's Delta flight 1109" or something similar. I'm sure they absolutely know what it is, where it was headed what it was for. The only explanation that makes any sense with the current economic situation going on is from this guy:

About that missile launched off the coast of southern California yesterday? The one that the military is saying they don’t know anything about? CBS shows the footage to Robert Ellsworth, former ambassador to NATO, who says the rocket is possibly an intercontinental ballistic missile. Ellsworth says perhaps it was fired as a “show of force,” related to President Obama’s Asia trip, and from what he tell, it looks like it’s a “test firing from an underwater submarine to demonstrate, mainly to Asia, that we can do that…”

The FAA stated earlier today that they did not know what it was.
I'll look for their statement.

There have been several sources in the military state with out a doubt that this was a missle launch. Why on earth are some of you still trying to debunk that notion? It is all over the MSM now stating that in fact it was a missile.

I agree that it could be a contrail, however, seems to me we would a) know about which flight it was (there have been no articles saying "airline confirmed to be flying that direction at that time in that place", right?) and b) the Pentagon would have immediately said "This is just an airplane." Like, seriously? They are TRYING to make us hyped up about it by NOT immediately grasping for the easiest explanation! If they wanted to hide it, they would have, from the very first moment, said, "This is a plane." even if they hadn't had any idea if it was a plane or not. Wouldn't they have?

Okay, so, I am rationalizing when I really don't know the Pentagon's intentions, but, I stated earlier in the thread that nothing matches up. The Pentagon is behaving oppositely from what we think they would be doing, since we think if something out of the ordinary happened, they would be trying to cover it up with a cover story. They have no cover story and the Pentagon is not buying into this 'it was a jet contrail idea' but it seems like they SHOULD if they want to make people not worry about it? Does anyone follow my logic?

here's an explanation to this whole missile thing.

it was an actual ICBM fired from a US ship, and was part of a contest.

the contest is whats the most outrageous thing the MSM can come up with that the public will swallow.

This seems like a test run on mass public manipulation... see what the public bites, and what the pub doesn't bite. (dry run)

Were supposed to get hit again soon... wasn't a nuke supposed to be the next false flag?

im a pilot. i just got back from the airport actually. wonderful day to fly out here on the east coast. all i want to say is anyone who is saying this is a plane contrail, is either being ridiculously obtuse, or incredibly deceitful.

Anyone think that maybe this was a show of force from an asian country? Maybe China or India?

Maybe they wanted to show the US that they can get their subs close to a major US city and fire a missile without the US even knowing, firing it out to sea as to show that it is just a show of force?

The fact that they claim they don't know what it was or who did it but "o dont worry its definately not a threat to national security" is so hilariously dishonest it can only come from the US govt. Its pretty clear they know exactly what it was and probably launched it themselves but its probably some prototype or w/e and thus "top secret" so o they can't admit it no matter what.. its so pathetic how our govt works now. The only way they can know its not a threat to security is if they know what it was and who launched it durrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr. # you US govt.

I personally think that we could already see it coming if that was the case. We have other eyes that are beyond the governments grasp. Something like that would be a wet dream for somebody and they would release it to the public just to get into some spotlight.

I tend to agree with you that somebody would have known at some level and it would have leaked out. I was just tossing out another possible explanation of the reason for launching large missiles in plain sight without our government supposedly knowing who or why they are being launched.

Looks like the glow from a booster rocket to me 45 seconds into that video.

Hm, I have Google news (keyword: missile) open in front of me, it seems most people are saying "We have no idea what it is" not "Pentagon confirms it is a missile." In fact, Pentagon still seems 'baffled' according to MSM.

Oh no we don't. Its the news media that has been calling this a missile since the start. When some one more creditable calls it a missile. Then I'll believe its a missile.

My wacky theories on the situation:

- A foreign country demonstrating how it peirced US perimiters and is able to launch a missle right off our coast.
- A possible madman conspiracy attempting to launch a missle over the pacific to hit any country it could in hopes of starting a war.
- An interference caused by something that is connected to a missle launch facility accidentally triggered a launch somehow.

* Since no one, including our own GOVT, or so they claim, has any idea, I guess we're free to make any kind of theories we want, with no need of proof. Truth is however, we just won't know until all the facts are gathered or as our country likes our facts to be... "prepared".

Mybe the novelty is that a small group of people figured out something with computers from a perspective that it is rarely looked it in the defense community.

I'm just going to throw this out there...

11/8/2010 = 1+1+8+2+0+1+0 = 13

1+3 = 4

13 - 4 = 9

The Beatles foretold this incident in their epic, The White Album. Too spooky, considering all of the prophecies surrounding November. Quick, someone check WebBot! Egad, people, head for your bunkers! The Aliens are here and we're shooting one missle at them tipped with silver as they are WereAliens. Somebody think of the children, can't anyone think of the children?

Amazing, if you do the math right, you can come up with any number you want and claim doom in any scenario.
