Yes, Ali is a popular Iraqi name. As I recall there was also a "Clerical Ali," although he was a very low level bureaucrat. .

Norman Finkelstein: Well... I think the important issue is that what happened in Gaza, excuse me, what happened with the Gaza Flotilla was not an accident. You have to remember that the Israeli cabinet met for fully a week, all the cabinet ministers discussed and deliberated how they would handle the Flotilla. There were numerous reports in the Israeli press, numerous suggestions, numerous recommendations about what to do. At the end of the day they decided on a night time armed commando raid on a humanitarian convoy. Israel is now a lunatic state. It's a lunatic state with between two and three hundred nuclear devices. It is threatening war daily against Iran and against the Hezbollah in Lebanon. Hezbollah in Lebanon has already stated on several occasions that if Israel attacks it will retaliate in kind. Things are getting out of control. We have to ask ourselves a simple basic fundamental question. Can a lunatic state like Israel be trusted with two to three hundred nuclear devices when it is now threatening its neighbours Iran and Lebanon with an attack? This is serious issue.

Seriously, who gave those nuclear weapons to Israel? Like, mysteriously, Israel has so many nuclear heads - how?

Is Israel someone's "avatar"?

If you watch it from start to finish you can see that the people ARE NOT riled, and ARE NOT attacking anyone, yet you can still hear the reporter saying that the IDF are using live ammunition, they wave a white flag after 1 person dies....
You can even hear some shots being fired in the background.

Then, later in the film you see them all riled up on the main-deck, attacking the helicopter that is dropping troops. This is AFTER you see the boats that are strafing the vessel and possibly firing LIVE AMMUNITION on the vessel.

I feel like the actual assault went like this:

1) The strafing boats fire "warning shots" (as you call them)
2) The captain is dispatched not long after
3) Tear Gas and Flashbangs are deployed
4) The humanitarians grab whatever weapons they can get their hands on
5) The Helicopter drops only enough troops for it to look like the soldiers have no choice but to kill the TEAR GASSED and BLINDED/DEAF activists

6) The IDF begins to lose ground and switch to lethal arms
7) They kill the ones they killed and are able to quell the violence (No IDF video of that eh? Wonder why.....)

8) They escort the ship back to Ashdod from international waters

Now since it all took place in INTERNATIONAL WATERS, because of an ILLEGAL BLOCKADE, then I can conclude the actions of 1-8 are ALL acts of Piracy.....

So we know they shot at people before landing on the ship so were the protestors suposed to meet them with flowers as they came down the ropes.

we also had super-man who just shuged it off as he was being hit with a metal bar or could it be it was not a metal bar like they are saying.

Well maybe thats because Paper and cement along with other stuff is confiscated before the aid is past on.

Actually he was "Chemical Ali" after his involvement with the mustard gassing of Kurdish goatherders (and other atrocities).

Comical Ali only came after his blustering reports of nothing happening.

He was not just a frontman, he held great power under Saddam, and used it too.

Is it true that they found a death list prepared for the soldiers so that they knew who to assassinate on the boats?
