You might as well be bouncing around the question "can this half-drunk bottle of coke in front of me be causing all the earthquakes and crazy weather that's happened?" - the amount of evidence for, and likelihood of, both is the same - none. Nil. Zilch.

The physics of HAARP's research is well understood. It's been posted on ATS dozens of times, and yet the only people who are scared of HAARP are those who don't understand what HAARP does. They don't know about the ionosphere. They don't know about how electromagnetic waves propagate in and interact with the ionosphere. They simply don't know. They see it as some spooky scary installation staffed with Lex Luthor-esque super-villains, all plotting to destroy the world.

And they believe all of that with no evidence.

Good point - I expect to see my post being used as evidence in the not-too-distant-future in some thread about dairy-product-based snacks destroying the world in 2012 :-P

How so? 'Succinctly and accurately' needs a wee-bit more data to support the repetition, I feel.

G'day Decoy

That's fair enough.....

However the hysteria & paranoia on ATS about HAARP has reached a ridiculous level.

Trying to cut through all that "noise" to engage in rational discussion with the "HAARP will kill us all believers" is worse than trying to have a rational discussion with the "reptilian shapeshifter believers".

I think his e-mail summed the facts up very neatly.

Kind regards
Maybe...maybe not

And yet...here you are, on this post, answering to another HAARP thread. I would think that if this were so ridiculous, that you would have just skipped this thread to go to another.

Ahh the old "You're on a conspiracy website, and if you dont like it, ignore it" trick.

I guess when you're here, silly things stop being silly.

Defeats the purpose of being a discussion however, eh. never mind.

As the sun sets, minds ease.. others prepare. the world turns. and a new day begins.

The most important question still is why does HAARP make these people post these threads. How does HAARP do this? And for what purpose`?

And then there are the philosophical questions - was this thread written by HAARP or was it the OP's and HAARP was merely the ultimate cause.

I'm desperate for anyone who has a guess about the real conspiarcy here. At least I have the data.

There's HAARP then there's the spin doctors trying to suggest anything detrimental to the dangers with it's start-up and real planned reasoning, aka Tesla's real deal theories in sending ULF through ground to sending electrical power visa via no cables where Edison knew free energy produces no money to the US/Russia agreement re weather conditioning, are sublime.

Dunno?, but suppose spin doctors are paid to do what they do. Have reasoning I think? -- but why Alaska initially? Go figure.

Aaaah more conjecture! Just what this thread needed.

Please cite your sources, as this is getting very tedious.

now from what i know, haarp uses very large amounts of electricity released into the atmosphere that causes the disastrous weather, now is there someway to reverse it so the energy kinda goes into a loop and is channeled back into the machine, that could destroy it.

It appears what you know isn't accurate. HAARP heats a tiny, tiny piece of the ionosphere directly above it. Weather isn't created in, or affected by, the ionosphere (which is between 50km and 100km up), but the troposphere (which extends from the ground up to 17km). The sun, on the other hand, heats half the ionosphere all the time, with an almost infinitely greater amount of power pumped into the ionosphere.

Please deny ignorance.

I believe the problem here is that people just cannot see that HAARP is just a radio transmitter, no different to any other radio transmitter.
Very high powered radio transmitters have become increasingly common all over the world for about a hundred years.

Yet people start assuming that cell phones are brain washing them, or causing mystical mental effects. Television transmitters of much higher power than cell phones, and operating on similar frequencies are completely harmless.

HAARP too like cell phones, suddenly have these magical powers to do all kinds of things radio transmitters simply are not capable of doing.
High power radio transmitters operating on HAARP frequencies have been around since the fifties, but nobody ever said that they cause earth quakes.

This is just internet hysteria, without any technical basis whatsoever, plain and simple.

I think I am starting to believe in the power of HAARP, after 17 pages of reading the word HAARP I feel sick.

Regarding earthquakes’, here is a link on statistics.
And I would like to post the quote from the same webpage
“As more and more seismographs are installed in the world, more earthquakes can and have been located.”
This means, since there were no seismographs in the past we can never know the frequency of these earthquakes.

I have no reason to respond to your attacks against me. My only purpose here is dispel baseless rumors and pseudoscientific theories against HAARP and I have shown that through simple logic it is obvious HAARP does not cause quakes or massive storms.

Because no solid evidence has been presented saying it can cause quakes and storms I have come to the conclusion that it cannot and will hold that belief until evidence is shown to the contrary.

I don't need a doctorate to detect BS when I see it and let's face it, who here on ATS really has a 100% grip on what HAARP actually does? There are many who claim to KNOW beyond a shadow of a doubt that it is creating quakes but anyone with a grade school level understanding of Plate Tectonics knows what actually causes them. The grasp I have on it is tentative but at least it comes from the facilities actual website, to get information from other sources, particularly sources which present wild speculation, pseudoscientific jargon and vast government cover-ups without showing a shred of real proof, would be folly.

I still have yet to see anyone prove HAARP can do any of the horrible farfetched things it is blamed on and as I've said prove it and I will believe it. I, unlike the zealots, will actually admit to the truth when it stares me in the face.

I hope you are right. About the cell phones though...they don't tell you everything. I won't use one. Just because a corporation that is making a fortune on the cell phones tells me they are perfectly safe...

Forget about it. They said asbestos was perfectly safe once upon a time, and lead paint...until people started dying.
I am sure when some folks said, hey you know I think I am getting some lung problems, or getting sick from working around the asbestos other people said don't be ridiculous we have been using that safely for years. And I think my child was eating paint before she came down with brain damage and people, even doctors said...no I don't think that was the reason. Finally one day enough people repeated the same reports and even then no one believed it but they decided to do a study and see what was actually going on.
Heavy cell phone use and in particular a bluetooth device behind the ear has shown tumorous growths inside the head and around the ear you use the phone on, even and especially in children.
You can use the cell phone and the bluetooth if you are a trusting person who believes everything you are told but not me. Call me a skeptic.

How does this relate to HAARP?
Do you think you know everything you need to know about it?
Do you trust the powers that be to tell you the unvarnished truth?

There is no way you know that for sure, unless you personally work at HAARP, or are in contact with someone who does.

As the video showed, the creator of HAARP'S son, knows exactly what original plan for it was. And that was to change weather patterns, for GOOD, to help people. I don't think he would do such an injustice to his dead father, as to lie about what his fathers plans were. Obviously, with HAARP using this system for unethical means, he would want to protect his fathers name and reputation. Weather you believe him or not is up to you.

Hmmm...I didn't realize that this was the plan. Thank you for illuminating this for me. Although, I just thought it was common sense to ask about the overall interest about something that "apparently" has no merit.

Just an observation. But I do enjoy the fact that you're here.

I know it is probably too late for you to edit the title of this thread, but I'm sure you can send a U2U to a Mod and ask him/her nicely to change it to:

"HAARP is Out Of Control, You agree or don't come posting here!!!"

I guess it was just a mistake by your part to ask people to judge for themselves in the thread title, right? That way people actually speaks up if they don't agree with you!

But seriously, if you are not interested in listening to opposing views, then you should start your own private blog about your HAARP theory and not open up for comments. ATS is kind of based on discussion, you know.
