What! flying a plane into a building is no longer an act of terror then!!

Wow that really is surprising to hear.

Maybe if he had darker skin and prayed to a different God people would be leaning towards branding him a terrorist!

And you believe in man-made Global Warming also. If all you can do is keep repeating yourself you will be ingnored by more and more of us here.

Please cease and desist with the George W. Bush recitals!

I can sympathize with the guys frustration with the way our government is f**king it's citizens and running this country into the ground,

There is a difference between the government doing the above and the people allowing the government to do it.

How many people actually vote? How many people actually research who they are voting for? How many people continue to reelect the same old people knowing that the same old people are part of the problem? How many people have become dependent on government? How many people think only of themselves or their area rather than the country as a whole?

Over on the other conspiracy sites they have located a photo of this guy. Apparently he was in a band and played the guitar. He looks like any other American. In fact he is the stereotypical TPM protester. 50-60 year old white middle American.

Based on all the articles I've seen the last day or two regarding the TPM I'm wondering if this guy wasn't part of it. How will the media spin that?

Day not over yet more plane related trouble

BA Flight Makes Emergency Landing
sky news /yjsk9wo

A British Airways plane has been forced to make an emergency landing after leaving Barcelona for London - after the pilot reported a strange smell in the cockpit.

British Airways

The plane was forced to land some 20 minutes after taking off

Terrified passengers on the fully-booked plane were plunged into darkness moments before touchdown.

The flight, BA 487, had taken off at 8.25 pm local time, and turned back to the Spanish city after less than 20 minutes in the air.

Moments earlier the captain used the tannoy to call for a senior crew member to join him in the cockpit "immediately".

Passenger Joe Braidwood, who works for News Core in London, said: "Everyone began to fidget as it became clear something was wrong.

"There was no announcement at first, but the crew began pacing up and down the plane.

"The pilot finally announced that there was a problem with an unusual smell in the cockpit and we were going to make an emergency landing.

"Everyone began to panic as we didn't know what that meant. Moments later all the lighting cut out, and people gasped."

He added: "I've been told the pilots were wearing their oxygen masks in the cockpit because the fumes were so bad."

I can sympathize with the guys frustration with the way our government is f**king it's citizens and running this country into the ground, but I in no way condone his actions. He had no idea how many innocent people he would kill. He totally went about making a statement to the government the wrong way.

There are thousands of people like him across the country that are truly hurting and losing everything they worked their whole lives for. What will it take to get the government headed in the right direction??????

I have to wonder what specific events lead him to this? What pushed him over the edge beyond the generalized rant on his web page? Who will be next?

It also disturbs me that people refer to the IRS workers as civilians, as much as it disturbs me that he did this. You cannot attack the IRS as much as you can attack the moon, a tree, a freight train, etc... Entities like that are untouchable in and of themselves. Evidently, in his mind the IRS workers weren't civilians, but enemy combatants. They are what keeps the machine grinding on. You might as well refer to an attack on an enemy army as an attack on civilians, not the enamy army or nation.

If his house (with wife+kid/s) was already on fire at the same time as the IRS building, then how did the guy get the time to drive to the airport, do the preflight checks and fly into the building without his house burning down and being put out by the fire department. With his wife warning the airport he was about to fly off into his plane to crash into the IRS building.

The 2x photos of both his home and aftermath of the crash clearly states "His house and IRS fire taken around the same time."

The timeframe doesn't match.

Wow, took me an hour to get caught up. I just read everything including his manifesto.

His story in the manifesto does not quite jive entirely with his life. He owned a private plane (I can not afford one, so he makes more than me and I earn around 100K) the house he lived in and left a family behind.

Not necessarily. A used Cherokee 140 can be had for the price of a used SUV.

If you read between the lines, he basically repeatedly tried to find loopholes in the tax law to get out of paying, trying to imitate big business and kept getting caught and having to start over. I'm familiar with the tax law he cites and it is not as hard to understand as he represents it to be.

He states that he was involved with a group trying to use the loopholes legitimately as the Catholic church did/does.

Add to that the people who work in an IRS building are not the IRS but just ordinary people like the rest of us and realize that is who he wanted to kill; you get somebody not in their right mind. This is no different than had he flown it into a shopping mall. The people he attacked were not his perceived enemy, so this is sadly an attempt to murder / slaughter innocent people. This ranks right up there with the lunacy and insanity of the Terrorist mindset, where the killing of innocent people is justified due to some indefensible notion, killing innocent people is somehow right.

I agree. I wouldn't do this and you wouldn't do this. But apparently, he was trying to send a message. He states that he spent money out of his own pocket and mailed many letters to people he thought would listen. It seems that he felt that nobody cared and, more importantly, nobody listened. To quote George W. Bush, "And the people who knocked down those buildings will soon hear from ALL OF US." I'm not saying that this was his thinking, as he made it clear he wasn't a Bush fan, but maybe this was his way of sparking the REST of US to make our voices known. Not the best way to do this by a long shot, but he felt it was his way and he also wanted a way out of his mess.

He is no Hero. He is no Martyr. He's just another nut job who's insanity hurt innocent people who had never done anything to him. Lets pray no other lunatics choose to copy him.

He's a guy that we will learn much more about over the coming days.

I think this has certainly created a divsion in the ranks. Is he a martyr or terrorist?

Err when did i say he was bloodthirsty??

hmm

His targets were the civilians inside of that building.

No we are not nuts we just know that murder is wrong.

Not all of us aspire to be killers ya know!

Just as much as i refuse to agree with his attempted murder of innocent people!

Your constant reference to him acting out of desire to murder in combination with your excessive use of exclamation points, seems to push across the point that this guy is blood thirsty.

Constantly accusing him with the sole intent of cold blooded murder is another way of saying blood thirsty.

When did i say the building fully packed??

You said the building had civilians in it, with your little exclamation points and your double question marks. Sucks when people start to exaggerate huh?

I never said these thing's but there was civilians inside of that building, you don't have to be a genius to figure that one out.

No, it was just an attempt to point out your own exaggerations. The way you are pushing your opinions, people will start to think you work for a news network or something.

And like i have said before it sounds like he just snapped and wanted to cause some mindless damage!

Yes, to an IRS building. The people in it was an afterthought to him. There is a noteworthy difference when trying to figure out his intentions and motives.

And this building was a perfect place for him to strike giving his situation.

Why wasn't the bigger building a better target?

In interview with a family member, his wife and child were not killed.

The home was burnt yesterday, and they spent the night at a motel.

www.myfoxhouston.com...

"My little niece is his step daughter," said the woman in an interview with KLBJ radio. "He burned their house down last night. My sister had gone over there last night to get them out of the house. They spent the night in a motel."

Perhaps you are more worried about the Romantic view of the Revolutionary War. The one in is all the troops fought "nice" on the battlefield. This wasn't the case and though Mr. Washington himself might not have taken part in such actions, many did on both sides killing the innocent.

Even today in the Middle East we kill many of innocent people. Just last week, 15 civilians killed in the name of a few. Do people care then? Is it so much better when it is placed under the guise of war?

And don't even get me started on the French and Indian War, the massacres that occurred there leaving men looking more like monsters. It was those same veterans of the F&I War that went ahead and fought for our independence during the Revolutionary War.

Not all history is sunshine and butterflies as some would have you know. It is fun to appreciate these sides of the story but always know that there are other sides to every story. Even our Founding Fathers were not perfect, they had their flaws derived from humanity.

If it takes the death of a man willing to give his life in order to benefit millions down the line, then in my eyes it is well worth it. People today have forgotten a little thing of the past called honor, in which they would be happy to die for such a noble cause. Not anymore.

I live in Georgetown TX, right down the road from the airport.

There is zero security at that airport...it's a private airport.

You can drive right in and walk up to any hanger you want.

He completed his last edit to the website at 6:42AM - That's pretty early in the morning to be writing a suicide letter, isn't it? Don't you at least wait until after breakfast for something like that? Although.. then again, why waste all that cereal?

Can we figure out how long it would have taken him to drive to the airport? This might give us a period of time in which he had to set a fire, drive a car, get in a plane and take flight. I'm wondering why he felt like he had to rush all of this stuff.

Although, if you change your homepage to that kind of statement, you are probably on a timer.
