Thanks for that Robin, and a star too! I understand your motives, and your plight, and I am not in any way saying your theories are wrong. We do tend
to be analytical on this thread, and at times harsh, but you really should not take it to heart.
I think I can honestly say that everyone on the thread would be delighted to find out exactly what the 'pipecleaners' are, and should it prove to be
your theory then you may rest assured that I am man enough to admit that I was wrong. Likewise you would be expected to do the same. Believe me I have
made suggestions which have been knocked on the thread, but that is life and I pick up the pieces, admit my error and carry on.
I sincerely hope that you do not feel that I or anyone else on the thread are being antagonistic or spiteful. That I am sure is not the case.
As to the 40 Hz file, some players will have a problem with that and it is a pity that you have not been able to listen to it. May I suggest VLC or
WinAmp, or possibly Audacity - but I can tell you it plays in Windows Media Player.
Now, I was not going to say anything about this in case I do not get a result, however in light of your post I feel it right to do so.
I have tonight sent all the data, graphs, sound files etc to Prof Smith at Utah to ask him for his opinion on the subject. I hope he responds, not so
that I can crow if he agrees with me, or weep if he does not, but so that hopefully we can get a definitive answer.
I will keep you all posted on that one.
