Whats going on at yellowstone?

Hi all...this is my first post, although I have been reading the thread for many days.

I have been watching the USGS quake site for almost ten years now almost daily, since I experienced a 6.9 quake. I find geology fascinating and the power of this earth we live on incredible.

After about a year, it became apparent to me that there is a pattern (as with everything in nature) to the earthquake activity around the world. You can almost always tell when something is building somewhere, or when there is something unusual going on. I recognized the yellowstone cluster immediately as something to watch and I continue to be a bit nervous about it.

I lived through the St. Helens erruption as a child, and I closely watched the more recent avtivity with Helens and also monitor Baker and Ranier since I live between the two. I would just like to add my thoughts for what it's worth.

Now that the seismographs have been 'cleaned up' either due to the wind noise being reduced or the settings changed...but you can now clearly see when there is some real activity. If you look at yesterdays readings you can see the harmonic waves in reaction to the indonesia eq. It's great to be able to see the true harmonic waves vs the 'noise' that was being confused as such before. There is a clear distinction. You can easily plot out the previous quakes from either the USGS or Utah eq sites and compare them to the seismograph readings to see what the different types and sizes of eq's look like. Now...all of that being said, I am not normally much of a conspiracy fan and just chuckled at some of the theories being voiced in the past week. BUT...why has nothing been reported since 17:23 on the 2nd? You can clearly see the activity on the graphs, from all over the yellowstone and Teton region....yet nothing from the USGS. No EQ reports, no statements....nothing. I am not a Geologist, yet I can easily pick out several quakes in the 2.0 range over the past two days....and some other possible deeper activity.

Maybe I am wrong, and what I am seeing is nothing more than surface noise or the geysers....but if you compare it, they certainly look like small quakes. Also, I found it very interesting to compare the past two days readings from the north end of the lake to the one posted here of the St. Helens readings the days before its erruption. They are VERY similar.

I hope that this silence is the end to it all for now and nothing will come of this. The rest of the planet seems to speak otherwise, for I do believe in cause and affect....all the large quakes, other unusuall clusters and errupting volcanos ARE connected. (IMHO) Perhaps the pressure has been released and thats the end of it, but my gut tells me otherwise. I always listen to my gut.

I'm not willing to blame the effects of HAARP on transient Earth effects on Eartquake events or other geological events. But no one can rule anything entirely out, I won't say its impossible. We know that due to the Earths magnetic field, and our increasing experience in understanding, and taking advantage of this we and others developed "over-the-horizen-backscatter" radar. It bounces radar off Earths ionisphere, having bounce it bounce back to the OTH radar, or have this signal bounce to a reciever NOT the same one as the emmitter.

I do have a few theories as to what HAARP does; (1:A localized alteration of the upper atmosphere in order to change communication ability, both localized and at least in theory, world. (2:Improving conventional (line of site), and OTH technologies. In theory taking advantage of everything we can exploit regarding natural phenomina. (:3 Weather control, perhaps by changing how the atmosphere heats, or other ways. We and a lot of others are working on ways to control the weather, or at least disapate dangerous weather, like tornadoes etc,, even rain fall. We might use it to exploit the natural EM signature to to use HAARP for taking advantage and developing this as a world wide sensor net, in ways satalites or localised technologies can not. It would also negate the problem with our satilite vulnerability, at least where and how it might apply with our satalite

As for its effect on geologic events, I have racked my brain but a logical consideration might be for something like HAARP target a specific geological area for a desired event. Earthquakes and volcanic erruptions? This in my view of generating and TARGETING at a LOCALIZED area. Only generating harmonic resonance makes this even hypotheticly possible. This idea of reasonance that is achived by converting a signal by something like HAARP, then by exploiting it to creat a potential dangerous effect. As in being very usfull a weapon. IF it can be controlled. The military has for centuries dreamed of weather control, or at allow a least understanding, mabey help create weather forcasts weeks, months in advance above and beyond our current forcast methods. Tesla apparently created a machine that not only created a destructive resoance in a building it was located in New York before WW-2, but when he could not "turn it up", the cops/fire department were called by people in the neighborhood who were scard to death. By the time the authorities had found the building, they rushed in to see Tesla hacking apart the power courd with an ax. It could have in theory brought down the building. Please don't get into 9/11 conspiracy stuff here, I'l mention that later.

After his death in the 1940's the U.S. government promptly confiscated all his notes... (Forgive spelling errors, spell checker is on strike, and I can't spell worth a damn.)

I'm pretty sure that those earthquakes aren't connected, and you could really do that with any earthquakes on the map.

I believe the ones NE Nevada are related since they are very near the hot spot trail!

Earthquakes aren't connected? What?

I too have racked my brain wondering what would be the purpose of HAARP potentialy using the technology to cause earthquakes and could not come up with a solid theory.

With the Chinese accusing HAARP as being the reason for the June 2008 earthquake, it got me thinking, why would they think that? Then I randomly remembered a Lindsey Williams interview on C2C in which he stated that there would be surprise announcements that Russia and Indonesia would be a source of massive oil reserves in 2009, and would bankrupt the Middle East.

Well, the Russia announcement came, according to the source below, but no announcement about Indonesia. Now a swarm of earthquakes in Indonesia reintroduced the thought to me. Problem is Indonesia is prone to quakes, so unless an announcement of a huge oil reserve discovery comes soon, I've just gone off on one of my tangents.

Has anyone noticed the info stopped coming from the lake sismo station just after noon today? And is still off. Someone said they lost the gee connection also from that station. Thats were the bad spot is, you would think they are the most crucial to watch.

I have to agree with you on your statement that geology is most intriguing, Anon. I also have to say that I also find it a bit curious that none of this information has been added to or updated since the 2nd...all over the news sites is, of course, the ordeal in Gaza, and Jett Travolta's death, but nothing more past the updates on the 2nd.

Two theories on this.

One, something is definitely going on and having this information readily available might cause a big ordeal, possibly even a panic, and the impact that would have right now with the poor economy over something that can or cannot be proven would be extremely detrimental. It's also pretty well known that the government takes time to release data on any new discoveries - take NASA for instance - several meetings will be held before press releases months prior to public information being released on new discoveries and you never see this anywhere.

Two, something is going on to keep interest but not so out of the ordinary that it needs the hype. Take this site for instance: volcanoes.usgs.gov...
(Apologies if this link has already been posted) Obviously this behavior isn't *completely* uncommon. (Interesting how the swarms occurred in 10 year intervals: 85', 95', 2004, and now more recently 2009...I see a pattern..)

I think it's great we're all sharing information and bouncing theories off one another in this thread, however. It makes it clear that, no matter what the Powers That Be choose to do, we are still intelligent human beings willing to think and discover for ourselves.

Time to seriously get the hell out of that area IMHO would be 5m quakes or higher in that same locale and steam eruptions from the lake. For now we just have to keep exploring, keep relaying information, and keep everyone aware. Oh, and keep calm.

I just realized that I may have some contacts inside Yellowstone. I'm still waiting for my guy to get back to me from Seattle. But I may be able to get an idea of what's going on behind the scenes in the park. I'll keep everyone informed.
