I am getting a big spike on my GEE for LKWY. I saw that quake in NV listed. I don't think we are seeing all of what is going on being posted and the lull is close to being over. I think we will definitly see more activity in the next few days, YS or not. I believe for the most part, these people are being told what they can and can not say. Spokespeople for USGS I am sure have been briefed on what is too much information. Maybe I'm too paranoid, but we're talking our government.

Did I read the posts and info correctly, the swarm had been moving NW and NNW for the most part, then moved to the SE? Then the large quake in NV to the SW?

One question, maybe off topic or not (if so, sorry). If Homeland Security is monitoring this, has anyone noticed any odd shipments of supplies going to the Jackson Hole and Cody areas? Water, HazMat suits, FEMA, etc.?

Good point and another quake (3.0) just hit the SW of the NE Nevada quake, thus making a straight line back from Yellowstone and following the migration pattern of the hotspot!

What the hell is up with the streaming Old F cam? Someone was panning around with it and it got a bunch of snow on it. Now it is trained on a trail not maintained sign, instead of the geyser!

Post link to cam please.

We all want to have a look, Thanks.

hey all, been catching up this morning, noticed the cam being covered with "SNOW" until proven otherwise, I would think it would start to melt or at least not look like ash.
I will be around for a while. Thank you all for the information on this thread.

I think this must be fog. If the air is warmer than the surface of the snow, it will be foggy. I don't know what the temp is at Yellowstone today, but we see this in Maine all the time.

And the lens covered in snow, so you can't see anything much anyway. Where'd the operator go?

Someone posted several pages back about the correlation of the volcanos near Indonesia and the quakes, if you go look at the RSOE site now, and the new quakes and erupting volcanoes. Wow.

It was clear and the steam from the geezer to the right was blowing left. from the left lots more steam travelling right. I thought that quite odd.
And I also noticed no one seemed to want to hang around there for to long?

Looked at it this morning, weather was clear. The geyser was producing a lot of steam (maybe due to the cold weather?) which went to the left side of the image. All I can see from the 'new' angle are the benches the tourist sit one while watching an eruption?

When I started watching it this morning which was about 8:00 am Central Time it was a beautiful day with a few clouds in the sky but for the most part just blue sky so, unless a storm has moved in most likely what we are seeing is very dense fog.

Anyone checked out old faithful recently it looks like the lens is covered in ash, and it appears real smokey in the foreground. If I am wrong all good please shoot me down.

I believe that that is snow etc. Now, if we could only see something other than a sidewalk...
