You ask and you shall receive. This is obviously exactly what the Palestinians want. Time to send an American fighter group to help finish this thing. There is no alternative to large scale war. Even if every Israeli converted to Islam, begged for forgiveness, and gave up every inch of soil they would still be murdered.

Yes, and it would help if Hamas quit hiding behind residential places, women, and children.

The Gaza Strip is one of the most densely populated regions of the world and is home to 1.3 million Palestinians along a 40 Kilometer Coast Line with a total landmass or 360 square Kilometers or roughly twice the size of Washington D.C.

Washington D.C. has a population of 588,292 people, so envision if you have ever been to the Nation’s Capitol City where exactly an armed group might stand more nobly and valiantly out in the open for Israeli Jets, Tanks, Helicopters and Artillery to massacre them as they put up a futile resistance with personal small arms defense, that would not endanger the lives of civilian and children.

It was Israel’s expressed wish to confine so many once free and nomadic peoples into densely packed oppressed and tightly controlled enclaves, and now these very same people herded into such congested living spaces are being blamed for not making better stand alone targets when in fact there is no place for them to stand alone.

So no blame it to be thrown at the Palestinian leadership, or the Educational system or the Children's TV shows???????? Face it, their whole culture is one of despair, and they keep repeating the same program, indoctrinating their youth...Palestinian parents should be ashamed how they manipulate their kids. "Hey Junior, what do you want to be when you grow up??? I want to blow myself up in a Cafe!!! What a nice boy, good choice there!". I pity those kids, they truly don't have a chance given the problems around them.

Not saying that Israel are saints in this matter, they do tons of bad things to the Palestinians, but the Palestinian leadership never fails to pull war from the jaws of peace.

Let's blame the Israels, no wait..... it's the evil ZIONISTS right?
It's all the Israelis fault for winning all the wars that happen.

Things would have been so much more peaceful if Israel had lost 1967 or 1973 right????

BBC. "Israeli special forces already operating in Gaza." Looks like they're doing the prep work for the elimination of Hamas by the IDF armour revving their engines on the Gaza border right now.

The Palestinians need to get rid of Hamas pronto!

Hamas is the cause of all their grief, and they just keep causing more grief for the Palestinian people.

You tryna make it sound like palestinians lived peacefully before Hamas's entry.Even if Hamas goes away, there will always be millitants resisting IDf and its brutal incurssions.

Hamas doesn't fire rockets from those compounds because they don't have long range rockets. You probably seen in many videos Hamas gets close to israeli settlements and fire a couple rounds of rockets and mortars.

Either way - Hamas uses those compounds in one way or another for non-police purposes.

Hezbollah really needs to get a few russian anti-tank missiles and IEDs into Palestine.

Why? Hezbollah and Hamas are different entities and have their own disputes with one another. And Hezbolah has no effective way to reach Gaza without help of either Syria, Iran, or some other nation.

And how will anti-tank missiles help them? IDF has well-developed urban combat tactics. If Hamas fields anti-tank weapons, IDF will instead send specialized infantry first to clear the area for armor. All this will change is that fighting will be a little more fierce, and both sides will lose more people. But it will not prevent Israel's intervention, it might only make it a little slower and prolong it.

It is not about what weapons Hamas has or doesn't have. It is the fact that Israel will not be able to get rid of Hamas one way or another, and Hamas will remain. So anyway you look at it - this operation will achieve little for Israel even if Hamas doesn't have IED's and anti-tank weapons.

That would break the back bone of IDF if they decided to go in Gaza with full force.

It wouldn't. IDF faced much more difficult obstacles in Lebanon, but its "back wasn't broken". Yes it suffered some serious loses, but that was hardly debilitating and did not impair Israel's military power. IDF retreated from Lebanon because it could not achieve the military objective it had set, but it hardly suffered an actual military defeat.

You can give Hamas tanks, planes, and RPGs. That is not going to help them much, and it certainly won't help the Palestinians stuck in Gaza. Hamas cannot win a military conflict against Israel. Nor can Israel win against Hamas. That's about it.

Thank you for the information. It is true what you say, but that doesn't stop Hamas from going to the border and confronting Israel face to face. I get tired of people like Hamas, OBL, Hezbullah telling their people to attack Israel or America while their busy hiding where they won't be killed. Why should the people believe in dying for the cause while they hide for the cause?

What would you teach your kid when your house has been bulldozed, your wife died cos she couldn't get to hospital in time due to israeli checkpoints, you're eating grass because israel has blocked food rations reaching you?

Let's blame the Israels, no wait..... it's the evil ZIONISTS right?

Yes that's right,it's evil zionists fault that decided to create an immigrant terrorist nation and expand by killing it's neighbours.

It's all the Israelis fault for winning all the wars that happen.

Israel might have won wars decades ago.But now it's loosing with the millitants pounding it from every side.

Yes. The films of the Hamas badasses running around like chickens with their heads cut off was hilarious. Have their masks on, shooting into the air, just making noise.

I see that all Hamas warriors are being called up and on to strike back at Israel. Yea. Right.

They'll probably load up a few mortars behind a school bus full of children. That's the cowards they are.

Well, they wanted a fight.

What are they waiting on?

Yes, and every burst from an AK47 costs as much as a few good meals for their families....not to mention what they could buy for their families with the cost of the weapons.

Ok. But the point is they will not be Hamas. Israel can live with a Fatah dominated Gaza like it does in Judea and Samaria. It can work with Fatah. It can never live with Hamas.

What is it with all the "zionist" and religious talk? People here make it sound like if not for zionists this conflict would have never happened. It is not about zionists or religion - it is about politics and history.

What about the never ending conflict between India and Pakistan? Are you blaming zionists for that too? Or the stretched conflict between Armenia and Azerbaijan? Or Kosovo? Or South Ossetia?

Fact of the matter is - conflicts with no end in sight like this over land with some underlying historic disputes are common all around the world. That's just politics. Israel - Palestine is no different. It just so happens that these conflicts involve some sort of ethnical differences, like religion, to fuel them.

If people want to exploit the situation to suit their own opinions or ideas, they can blame the zionists or whoever as much as they want. That won't change anything and won't help anything. But it is just far to fun to plug in an occasional "zionist" or "communist" or "terrorist" here and there to help give your arguement more color. All it does is detract from critical assessment of the issue.

Funny, seems to me that is not the case at all.

Seems to me that the Hamas, after over a week of attacks and warning's, was the ones pounded, and they deserve it and much more.

Removing Hamas murdering terrorists.

Destroying complex's where they launch attacks from.

Responses to the Hamas attacks of over a week straight.

What comes after a week of warning them what will happen if they don't stop their attacks.
