To provide a different view (or maybe not) of the events, here is a Georgian news site, the only one that I found that has up-to-date news

I don't know what sites were hacked, but all the official Georgian sites I found (the site of the President, the Parliament, the Government, etc.) were "unavailable".

It was this one : www.mfa.gov.ge... they removed all of the content and had a collage of images of Georgian President and Adolf Hitler and Stalin if I'm not mistaken. But it appears that has been removed too now.

EDIT:::

Yesterday the sites were hacked and had images of Hitler and the Georgian President on there.

Thanks for the link.

Two things I noticed:

1. the burning building photographed from a distance looks like it's inside a fence, with basketball court in front, it does not look like a common apartment building.

2. the Georgian equipment looks brand new.

nothing wrong with using "futbol" mate. Us American's know what that is.

But I would think the fighting will be all over way before that.

The Firearms are standard AKs no surprise there.
What was interesting to me is that they have the newer cammo patterns that are I believe less then two years old.
Lets face it. If you had the choice between an AK and an AR in city fighting
why on earth would you want an AR?
I have not seen any American equipment yet. That does not mean they don't have any. Just that I have not seen it.

I realize there is press in the area, but looking at all of those guys with camera's standing around that older woman taking picture of her while she's bleeding is sickening. I know it's war, and war is hell, but that's just sad.
