And Bush is heading to Crawford on a 2 week vacation...and it is August. I guess we will have another false-flag or another American city go down real soon.

I knew I had seen it before.

MOSCOW, Aug 15 (Reuters) - Russia wants to see the Georgian president's signature on a peace plan before it makes any moves in the conflict between the two countries, Interfax news agency quoted an unidentified Foreign Ministry source as saying Friday.

"Until we see the signature of (Georgian President) Mikhail Saakashvili on the document, we will have nothing to comment on," Interfax quoted the source as saying.

"The time for conversations has passed. The time for concrete action has come."

On this post from chips.

Here is some thing I found, recently released from a source online I frequent regularly. Very interesting to say the least.

“02.461_7246_492377_SOS!!!GEORGIARussian_Atacks_on_Georgia_13.55[1].doc”
That’s the filename of a map published by the Georgian Ministry of Foreign Affairs on 11 Aug. The MFA’s statements of 1–14 Aug ’08 offer a clear, blow-by-blow picture of how Georgia saw the unfolding situation as it escalated into an invasion. The full text of all the MFA’s statements with related images is below; there are several detailed daily timelines of incidents, events, and sightings.

War Plan: Russian Attacks on Georgia

I don't think that's "new" exactly, the Russians have been advocating Crimean independence (it's already an Autonomous Republic in the Ukraine) since 1991, and they actually have a pretty fair amount of local support. For the Russians, it would allow them to keep Sevastopol instead of moving the Black Sea Fleet to Novorossiysk, not to mention it would ensure access to some nice tourist destinations

It's also not an area where NATO is particularly popular, when the Marines were there to train with the Ukrainians there were riots.

As for the Ukraine itself joining NATO, last I read the population there was trending 60-70% against NATO membership, and calling for a national referendum on membership, which NATO would lose. Then again as we've seen recently in Poland (NMD deal) the US seems to get it's way in these 'democratic' countries despite strong popular opposition.

Looks like this war is migrating into who is going to get nuked now:

Ru ssia threatens nuclear attack on Poland over US missile shield deal

Only 24 hours after the weapons agreement was signed Russia's deputy chief of staff warned Poland "is exposing itself to a strike 100 per cent".

Bushco should be saying something equally as stupid soon...just wait and see.

Meanwhile, truce still has a ways to go:
Push for UN vote on Georgia truce by week's end

Ukraine is for sure in a tough spot ,having most of it's population against the protection of NATO with it's pro-NATO government(maybe the reason it's leader was poisoned*another thread) and it's proximity to the war-zone.If Georgia is destabalized and has a territorial dispute ,then the same could be exacted on Ukraine.I see NATO Being fast tracked in Ukraine

oh....yea, i get it now.www.csmonitor.com...

BERLIN - Russia's invasion of Georgian territory last week, in addition to reasserting Moscow's military strength, has complicated Europe's effort to diversify its oil and gas supplies away from the growing dominance of Kremlin-controlled energy giant Gazprom.

How many times has Bush threatened to use Nukes??
Some of you people are so biased, its not even funny.
Russia has threatened to attack two nations and has attacked another Nation, in just a matter of a few days.
And theyve threatened to use NUKES at least 2-3 times in as many days and nobody says a damn thing about it..
All of the rhetoric is still focused on the USA or Bush.
You people are so transparent and predictable, dont even bother posting.

Now that we had figure heads exchange words and a small exchange of fire power..

Are we, you, ready for the onslaught of whats to come?

Perhaps this was a way to remove any giddiness for the next battle sure to take place, Iran.

Will the high of this confrontation ride on to the next so as to keep the gossips humming and the historians guessing as to who will back who and how far?

I sense protests not being as large or vigilant since we had our taste of blood.

How will the media spin the next chapter?

Stay tuned and lean ever closer off the edge of your seat.. the next ones going to be a dozy!

Maybe you shouldn't be posting here. Bush is free to threaten and put his foot in his mouth, all from the comfort of his Crawford ranch (he will be there for the next 2 weeks on vacation...multi-tasking, fanning flames for a new Cold War, all the while clearing brush and--still--fearing horses). So don't tell him he is out of line, you are. In fact, here is a place where your views will be welcomed and understood:

Your a moron, not worth another second of my time..

"Your moron", I don't have a moron, I live with a roommate who is pretty cool... Wait! you must have meant "you're a moron" like "you are a moron". I got ya now. Since we are going to call names, you're a lessoff. That's right, a lessoff, what do you think about that?

We can blame the US for everything. Cheney and Bush have world dominance on their mind. The ruse of helping advance freedom is just that, a ruse. Do some of your own research into the history of US aggression in the world. Once you do, I am sure the childish insults--and poor grammar--will go by the wayside.

Does anyone have any real news or is this a Bush versus Russia thing now? That should be a whole new thread and nothing should be posted here unless its news directly related to the conflict.

Do some of your own research into the history of US aggression in the world.

Why dont YOU do YOUR research into the history of the Russian/Soviet aggression and atrocities.
If you do, youll learn that a Russian Dictator, Josef Stalin, is responsible for killing more people than Hitler, Pol Pot and 1950's Communist China combined.
Yea, look it up

I take it you have just acquired net access, so I will enlighten you this one time.

Anti-Russian hysteria over Georgia

Learning to use Google for due diligence prior to posting would be advised or you will look uninformed and naive. That and flaming members is bad net etiquette and not tolerated at ATS.

Bush threatens nuclear war Google: 162,000 English pages for Bush threatens nuclear war
ATS: Civility and Decorum are Required

For starters, Bushco represents a faction, not a single entity. The greatest relative predictably is still and has been that Bush or his cohorts will say something completely inane and moronic to escalate a war scenario, hence my statement:

Bushco should be saying something equally as stupid soon...just wait and see.
There's also plenty of evidence of past performances of this lunacy in neocon diplomacy and is why Bush bears the title as the "most despised and worst president in US history".

Fact: It is/was the US-backed Georgia who launched the first major military offensive on South Ossetia. Georgia made the mistake of escalating a battle that they couldn't win. Now it is a matter of watching those who wish to protect destructive fools becoming even greater fools seeking destruction.

Note: Sane intelligent people will usually become bias to others when the been repeatably lied to and deceived by them or they get put into the mindless sheeple camp. George W. Bush Quotes
