Just a note everyone...

I have been following this thread with great interest. The shear amount of information that has been presented is staggering and admirable in many ways.

The ATS motto of "Deny Ignorance" has never been better represented than it is here, in this thread.

Think about this.

No where else, NO WHERE; will you find a more comprehensive accumulation of facts and informed opinions about any subject!!!! FACT.... Right here on ATS....

And all this on a fast paced, controversial global issue of staggering proportions!!!!

Here we get both sides of the issue presented to us from intelligent and informed individuals, all without having to change the channel...

I applaud you all and encourage all of you to continue as you have been.

You are certainly making all of us look good.

This is August...if this is August, what will be the October Surprise?

This is all adding up to something ominous in October, if we all make it that far.

Wow that is an interesting article. If I believed that there was actually a difference in the parties then that article would be right on. But the fact is I dont feel there is a difference between the two parties. They both want war. They both want the money that can be made off war.

I'm having trouble getting my head around all of this. One minute we're heading for war with Iran and the next we're poking the Russian bear with sticks. Interfering in Georgia.....putting this ridiculous missile shield in Poland. Where is it all going to end

was gonna post this as a breaking news but since this is a couple of days old i thought id post it here :

this is a couple of days old but please bear with me ,

Old railroad tracks that connects Finland and Russia have been stolen and probobly sold as scrapmetal.

So what so importent about this news ?

This incident is in breach with the Paris threaty that both Finland and CCCP signed

in it it states that the 7km track of rail must be intact, by CCCP demand.

Whats even more "co incidential" with this happening is that its reported during the georgia / russia conflict 13.8.8
and finland just happens to be etjy (EU peacekeeping) host contry this term,

i dont know how to digest this my self,

might be boasting and flexing and cutting of the old ties with russia
id even go as far as to say this smells of propaganda
might be a mish mash of both

just had to share

Russia using cluster bombs in Georgia, Human Rights Watch alleges

In a statement issued early Friday from Tbilisi, HRW condemned the practise, which it claimed to have documented from airstrikes Tuesday in two Georgian cities.

Thanks
It's day there already, so I guess we'll see some further (confusing) reports flowing in soon.

My guess is that the Russians are just visiting every militarybase, to see if there's anything interesting to find for Moscow, and to destroy any ordenance that's still present.
