I call BS.
It is just saber rattling propaganda.

Iran doesn't possibly have the resources to attack the US directly. If anyone was to be attacked, it would be Israel because the only thing Muslim extremists hate more than the United States and Great Britain is Israel.

They just want to start up the fear machine and get the war-ball rolling.
My two cents.

After wading through 12 pages of posts mostly consisting of no i didn't/yes you did, don't call me that you big meanies I began to despair. There were 3 or 4 thought our rational replies and lots and lots of propaganda. I also saw a distressing lack of on topic post. When I read this article I thought to myself, what is my plan of escape, how will I help my family to survive? Whether the nuke/emp comes from Iran/US/Russia/China etc., etc, I would like to think people will not run around crying why me? why me? Semantics are irrelevant here. I was actually shocked that more people did not question what an emp attack entails. Did no one take the time to reflect on what this means for our country? I'm not shouting fear or terror. I'm not even shouting. These are the times to build our communities and prepare for any eventuality. Be thankful for any media input, but be smart enough to know who's writing the reports.

The report was a load of rubbish. A bunch of propoganda. Iran has a growing weapons program they are trying to perfect their missiles so they work properly when they need to be used. That in no way means they have nuclear weapons or would use those weapons on us. The biggest danger in this situation is the USA making a stupid call to invade Iran and stop the "Nuclear Threat!!!"(terror and fear propoganda).

The reason why it would be stupid for us to invade is because Russia is supporting Irans growth and has warned us not to invade or attack. So an attack on Iran would lead to an attack from Russia, and then all the allies would fall into place and we would have a World War.

We shouldnt be worrying about Iran we need to watch the United States and make sure that we dont do something stupid.

I think you are needed over at the Sean Hannity discussion forums; these types of radical bumper-sticker assertions are better suited there.

Not saying that I do not enjoy your company here, I do, it's just that you espouse lock-step rhetoric that will get us all killed.

Opinions are best made when you have some knowledge of the subject matter.
Protection or Safety from a Nuclear strike is not cheap. Iran striking us from a ship would not be that hard at all. You must assume they will try and prepare to prevent it. Our government is selling " We the people" out!
( NWO and the assorted trade nasties that go with it) The way it looks now is that our leaders are planning to let a catastophe happen anyway.

Did you even read the thread? A few people have posted before me explaining how it's all rubbish.

Iran has a missile capable of traveling 1000-2000km (can't remember the exact number) it also weighs 3 tonnes. Are you actually suggesting they could get this weapon onto a ship and within firing range of the United States?

Iran barely has a Navy to speak of, any other ship they modified would have to have a launch platform for the missile as well as all the computers and such required. The US navy are currently in the Seas around Iraq and Afghanistan. Do you really think a boat modified with a massive launch platform could just sneak past them?

If I was any good with Photoshop I would make quite a funny image illustrating this point

I recently read that Iran had acquired a few subs from China and Russia, do they have the ability to launch sub based sea to land missiles?

It does seem abit far fetched that Iran would have the ability to launch a ship based missile undetected onto US soil...

This thread is like a Merry-Go Round.

You squash some ignorant assumption somebody jumps to and another parrot comes along and repeats it again....

Yes, he did. BUT they were legal. They had a label on them stating 'warning do not use' 'weapon of mass distruction' so it didnt count. We just didnt find any illegal ones.

I can imagine Saddam abiding by warning labels.

What difference does legal and illegal matter when your talking about Weapons of Mass Destruction?

Lol... Yes I have 10 tons of LEGAL VX Nerve Gas, which I use to hunt deer with.

Show me a source if he had them then.

The only weapons Saddam had, were left overs from the chemical stockpile he was given in the 1980's by the US:

That's Rumsfeld in Iraq, discussing payment plans for weapons given to Saddam to kill the Iranians with, a US enemy.

Rusty old mustard gas shells and mouldy Sarin do not constitute WMD's.

He had nothing:

"I think it's clear that in March, when the invasion took place, the evidence that had been brought forward was rapidly falling apart," Hans Blix,

"I think they chose to ignore us," Blix said.

"Our inspectors had been there, and they had taken a lot of samples, and there was no trace of any chemicals or biological things," Blix said.

www.abovetopsecret.com...

And the "hidden in Syria theory" has also been debunked:

U.S. investigators hunting for weapons of mass destruction in Iraq have found no evidence that such material was moved to Syria for safekeeping before the war, according to a final report of the investigation released yesterday.

www.washingtonpost.com...

The sooner you face that, the quicker these forums will be free of that annoying misconception.

If America doesn't want to provoke Iran into ACTUALLY building Nuclear weapons why are they backing them into a corner and threatening them with sanctions and deadlines when NO CONCLUSIVE proof has been shown that they're developing nuclear weapons?

You keep poking somebody in the ass with a stick and one day they will take that stick and beat you with it.

I am glad that you say that because I thought he made a statement on that comment saying how that wasnt what he meant.

I just didnt want to be the guy to say "well he took it back so its ok!"
Ahaha.

And for gods sake people STOP saying, "take em out first" "nuke em" and the whole lot, God its like no one realizes A nuclear war WILL destroy humanity. Its not something to be so rash about, it is most definately NOT a game. It should be taken very very VERY seriously.

Once, and it was in Iraq so stop acting like this happens all the time.

Even the Iraq WMD debate is not conclusive. Look at this thread:

www.abovetopsecret.com...'

Just because your opinion is that Iraq did not have WMD does not mean Iran does not have nukes.
