You cannot flag posts, only threads, and not in all forums, the "Hoax" forum has that possibility disabled, for example.

I knew that.

How about this one?
www.belowtopsecret.com...
Why did this go BTS?

That's an excellent question, it may be an error, sometimes Mods make errors, I once noticed that a thread was closed but I couldn't find any reason for it, so I sent a U2U to the Mod that closed it and asked why the thread was closed, and he admitted that it was an error and reopened it.

Unfortunately, we don't know who moved this thread, so we have to wait for a Mod to notice these posts or we can send an alert, I think it's a good option and will not be considered an abusive use of that function.

I didn't move it, but I might be able to answer the question. The Breaking General news forum is in BTS. News stories that aren't geared to ATS-like material (i.e. Fortean-type stuff and conspiracy) for the Breaking Alternative News Forum on ATS, are moved to BTS General News.

You might take a moment and review the three threads stickied to the top of the BAN forum like this one for a more comprehensive answer.

Thanks for the speedy reply.
Although I disagree it does explain why.

Actually I would like to request that the thread be reinstated at ATS.

I think the topic goes a long way in discussing the collapse of society. It shows that we are failing our children and giving way to the X-box- Computer nanny's

Edit to add: Can this be reconsidered?

I have a new question...

When we go into our members options and pay with our points for an adjustment for U2U do we gain a quicker response and additional response ability?

Jabbing-in a complaint here: those hyperlinked border backgrounds at the right and left keep messing me up when I click on the browser window to bring it to the foregound. It's rather annoying to have to be overly careful where you first put the mouse cursor.

I'd submit it as a Suggestion complete with link, or thread alert from the thread to be reviewed by all staff. I can tell you that the likelihood is remote. You'd have better luck, I think, starting a new thread in the appropriate forum and take that tack on the material than trying to make a BAN thread out of it.

Thanks.

I think and of course just an opinion......

That ATS needs to reconsider some of it's stances.

Just an observation.

I'm not sure what that means. Things are reconsidered here all the time. I think anyone who has been around awhile will vouch for the amount of change that goes on. Change is constant. Not everyone, or anyone I know of, agrees with all of it. It's a work in progress and always will be, and everything is considered from a member's perspective. The only person here who didn't start out as a member is Simon Gray.

We try things and sometimes they work and sometimes they don't. And even the things that work don't appeal universally to everyone. That's just how it goes.

Do you mean the "Add 100 to U2U quota" option?

If that's it then, as far as I know, it's irrelevant, some time ago we had a limited amount of U2Us that could be in our box, but that limit was removed and changed to a time limit.

I don't know if it was changed again, this was the last information about it that I know, and I thought that the option was gone, to keep people from losing points in something that does not exist.

But I could be wrong.

Thanks Arm...

Yes I would like to respond to mutliple U2Us at the same time yet for some reason here at ATS. But.. I'm limited

I cannot excuse my ignorance but...

How can this be resolved?

It cannot (unless they change the code), there's a 1 minute time limit during which we cannot send another U2U after we have sent one.

It's annoying some times, but it's the best way to avoid spam from other members.

Well that should be considered as a Brownie point instead of the BS status symbol options...

Was the post limit before making threads removed?

I ask this because I saw today a poster that only had 3 posts, all on his newly created thread.

Edited to rephrase the post, this way is more correct.
