Hang in there......2008 Gods final witness.....RW has already made clear that none of what he predicted was accurate because of a misunderstanding of the time line for events going forward....Having said that his book becomes irrelevent with respect to 2008 in just 21 days....There is a possibility of 1 or 2 of his predicted thunders to take place....

Greetings sd.......These are valid questions that RW has answered himself by proclimation in his own book.."If any thing Iam stating here doesnot come to pass than Iam a false prophet"....So where is discussion going with respect to establishing truth....There are many self proclaimed prophets in this world....This one put it in writing so all can see and judge on a basis of truth which comes from the wisdom God so readily gives upon request...

God's definition of False Prophet : Prophet's prophecy fails.

No where in the entirety of the bible does God allow true prophets to fail or have any misunderstanding. Are they sinners? Yes, but in regards to prophecy there is no allowance for "error".

As far as Thunders. Revelation is clear, these were not written down. RW has taken it upon himself to "add" to the book of Revelation. Anybody can make up any "thunders" he pleases and say this is what Revelation meant. There is a serious curse for adding to the book of Revelation.

Greetings,
Did all disciples and followers of Christ believe that Christ's return was emminent, in their life time? Yes, even Paul and Peter thought that way by their written letters to the Churches. If so, does it make them false apostles and prophets? God's revelation is progressive; a little here, a little there; precept upon precept. Why did Jesus speak in parables to the people? because God's mysteries are not for the world but only for His choosen ones at that time and also at this end time. They can hear but not understand. To those that understand, more is given; but to those that don't, every little bit they have will be taken away.
I guess most of everyone here called yourself Christian. Let's line up some of the beliefs and to see if you truly trust and believe in the word of God- The Bible. The reason is we don't want to make up any belief or doctrine, but to test them to see if they come from God. Any Church that put its trust in wrong beliefs or wrong doctrines is not of God. God is not divided and there is only ONE TRUE CHURCH OF GOD where His Spirit resides.

Here are some of the Catholic Church & Protestant’s doctrines and beliefs, see if you agree or disagree with them:

Trinity
After death the soul goes to Heaven or Hell
Good Friday ( Jesus died on Friday and raised on Sunday)
Easter Sunday (The Resurrection), pagan’s holiday.
Observe Sunday (The Lord’s Day)
The Law & Commandments of God are void since Christ already fulfilled it (so now we can kill, worship idols, lie, cheat, steal, and abolish the Sabbath)
Christmas (even though Jesus wasn’t born on that day and pagans celebrated their gods on that day)
Rapture
No one know when Christ’s return

Here are some of Church of God’s doctrines, see if you agree or disagree with them:

Observe the weekly Sabbath (Exd 31:12-17, Exd 20: 8-11,…)
Observe God’s Feasts (Lev. 23) to understand God’s plan and purpose for mankind.
Only One God and His name is Yahweh, The Eternal.
Jesus Christ is the begotten Son of God to die for everyone and to make it possible for all mankind to be begotten (born) of God into His Family of Elohim.
The soul dies and awaits resurrection
Jesus died on Wednesday afternoon on the 14th (Passover) and resurrected on Saturday (Sabbath) afternoon before sundown (at least 72 hours later) just like what Jesus said, “Three days and three nights.”
The Gospel of Christ is about the Kingdom of God (God’s government) which will reign on earth when Christ returns.
144,000 will be resurrected or transformed to spirit beings at Christ’s return to reign with Him in the millennium. (Rev. 20)
When Christ opens the Seals of Revelation, He knows what and when things happen and He relays those to His Church through His two end-time witnesses (Rev.11)

If we say we believe in God and in Christ then we must agree and obey God through His Word of Truth. We must have a teachable spirit and a humble heart. We must be able to say that we are wrong and God is right.

Greetings Sir Paul......I agree with your reference to scripture and in the interests of plain speaking and clear understanding I must say "RW has not met the requisites setforth in scripture so as to qualify him as a prophet". With reference to his thunders they are nothing more than one mans opinion on what could happen....and I must say I find them interesting and thought provoking....and incidently none of them have come to pass yet either....

THE GREAT TRIBULATION HAS BEGUN

Or has it?

According to RW the tribulation has begun AT SUNDOWN this day (Jerusalem time....it's past sundown already there). Not at midnight the common reckoning for a new day, but the biblical reckoning which is from sunset to sunset.

I suppose he will use the tired old claim "it's spiritual", since nothing has happened yet or will happen. Or that it (apparently) will not happen the way we expect "with a big bang". But that is the WHOLE POINT of prophecy, to tell us what will happen, so that we can look for it. Common logic will tell you if "The Great Tribulation" begins on a certain day, then something monstrously huge and traumatic should happen on that day.

Nothing has happened.

No nukes.

No assassinations.

No suicide planes into buildings.

Nothing.

How many times does a false prophet have to be wrong for those to see he is indeed a false prophet??

Less than 24 hrs remain for any telling signs. They just simply will not come, because the signs that proceed this day simply have not happened.

In his redo of the 1260 days sermon, RW has made his wife head of the church under him.

While there were a couple of women who were prophets, none were given administrative duties over the church. Even the "Great Whore" church understands the bible enough, to not ordain women into offices, so sad RW does not understand this.

Greetings of great sarcasm.. SirPaul you are right that if the great tribulation were taking place we'd be reading about millions dead. I can't believe this thread is still kicking. IMHO RW is right in one regard that being we are near end times..His timing is just off.

The bible states that the Great Tribulation, will be the worst time in human history . WWII as horrific as it was, will pale in comparison to what is coming. So sad, that those with eyes to see, are yet so blind to the evidence.

It simply has not started yet.

No, you are forgetting about birth pangs, which get greater and greater over time. You'll be reading about your millions of dead soon enough, assuming you're not one of them of course.

Doc,
The "birth pangs"(NIV Matthew 24:8) are part of signs mentioned by Christ .. 3 As Jesus was sitting on the Mount of Olives, the disciples came to him privately. "Tell us," they said, "when will this happen, and what will be the sign of your coming and of the end of the age?"

4 Jesus answered: "Watch out that no one deceives you. 5 For many will come in my name, claiming, 'I am the Messiah,' and will deceive many. 6 You will hear of wars and rumors of wars, but see to it that you are not alarmed. Such things must happen, but the end is still to come. 7 Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be famines and earthquakes in various places. 8 All these are the beginning of birth pains.

Beginning of birth pains the tribulation. Luckily, I'm a pretribber so believe I'm outta here prior to tribulation anyhow.

I wonder at how RW's follows pretty much accept anything he spouts.

Ordaining his wife to be head over the church under him...such astounding lack of understanding of basic scriptures..

1 Timothy 2 (New King James Version)
11 Let a woman learn in silence with all submission. 12 And I do not permit a woman to teach or to have authority over a man, but to be in silence.

the "Birth Pangs" result in "birthing" the Great Tribulation, they do not occur at the start of the Great Tribulation..

He dismisses "the fire that proceeds out of his mouth" etc, as simply being words (quoting an OT verse), but even if we accept that, the deaths are literal and immediate. There will never be fire from his mouth, he will never shut the skies of rain, nor will he turn rivers to blood. This simply has not happened (even RW would accept that fact) nor will it ever happen.

When Christ does not return, he will simply quote the verse mentioning how we would not no "the day or hour" and tell you to hang on...good luck with that.

Simply the beginning of pangs, not the birth, the birth of the Kingdom.

Well, it's Dec 17, 2008 ... all my grass and trees are still here. And, if CNN can be trusted, no American cities have disappeared. When will this guy do what he said he would do and declare himself a false prophet?

He will never do so. He is fulfilling another part of prophecy.

Matt 24:11 And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many.

What the blind and deceived do not understand is that Satan's ministers do not walk around with pitchforks or horns or 666's tattooed to their foreheads. They appear as ministers of righteousness.

2 Corinthians 11:14-16 (King James Version)

14And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light.

15Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works.

It's like a cake, you could make the most perfect and healthy cake ever, but if you lace it with cyanide....all the good ingredients will not cancel out the poison. God made these physical examples in nature so we could understand the spiritual parallels. The "tree" of knowledge, was not a tree of evil, it was a tree of the knowledge of good AND evil. It's a mixture. RW has some truths, he has enough truth to engage potential believers, but enough poison error to keep them off the path.

but to be in silence

...well, you have to give her credit for this part. She's pretty quiet.

With all seriousness, though, I am watching RW even closer now (than before). Matt 24:11 says:
And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many.

and also Matt 24:24 For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect.

Because RW is now (by his own words) operating as a false prophet, it wouldn't surprise me at all if he started showing some miraculous signs and wonders. This would not make him a TRUE prophet, it would actually fulfill verses 11 and 24 of Matt. 24. (A false prophet deceiving others.)

This, to me, is what is making this guy so fascinating to watch. I suppose you could say I'm "rooting" for him (or other false prophets) to actually start showing some signs and wonders so that:

Matt 24:33 So likewise ye, when ye shall see all these things, know that it is near, even at the doors.

If RW started "nailing it", would any of the previous skeptics start giving him a "second look" and start apologizing for doubting him? I have to imagine this is so, and this is what makes a false prophet so dangerous (in my opinion).

The Greek for "great signs and wonders" is the same Greek used when referencing the miracles of Christ.

The Benny Hinn "healings" are one example of this...all these tent revival meetings where people chatter in tongues so it sounds (literally) like an animal barn, they think this is the gift of tongues but it is not. So yes, "signs" and "wonders" will follow false prophets. The bible calls these "false" miracles, it is unclear what this means....does this mean it's like a magic trick? It appears real, but is not. Or does it mean it's a real miracle, but from a untrue (not Godly) source?

SirPaul,
I believe the same on the "miracles" you mention. Not sure if you saw thread on BTS www.belowtopsecret.com...
but I said something similar. The tongues(gibberish) is a phenomenon that is not unique to Christianity but occurs in other faiths thus as a Christian that has to make you wonder. We have the bible and do not need the sign gifts. Real tongues, healing ect. Which is not to say that God cannot choose to intervene and miraculously heal. Power of prayer is where that starts. JMHO
