As far as the Iranians viewing the U.S. as terrorists? Of course they do...we are the 'great satan' according to them.

So you say that speaking your mind and expressing your hatered towards a nation is terrorism and you should be jailed for that? I'll have to disagree with this. I think you should be able to hate who/whatever you want and express it as much as you please. Think situations like the revolution of France and the birth of US for example.

the release of this information, if true, is a treasonous act in my opinion. Here's why. In the United States, our constitution entitles us to the right to free speech. Implied in that right is the common sense of when and when not to excercise that right. Americans tend to take that right to absurd lengths, especially when "doing what is right." Bottom line...When it harms your country to excercise your right to free speech, as in this case, it is not outside the realm of reason to expect that one's loyalties might lay with the nation that guarantees that right, as opposed to a particular ideology.

And it doesn't make a diference that you pay taxes; that doesn't give you the right to know everything the government knows.

I don't need to know everything they know. I do need to know who they are attacking and why they are taking this action. They are attacking Iran, and I would otherwise not know this if it wasn't for the leak. Why are they? That is up for debate.

Your recourse is the ballot box.

Secrets are sometimes necessary. And grimreaper does't have the right to know all those secrets, unless he chooses a career path that puts him in position of authority.

You have to grow up and accept those facts.

Secrets are necessary. Who you are attacking is NOT one of them. How you are going to do it, that is suppose to be secret. "We are launching operations to destablize irans government" is something we deserve to know. "We are going to fly planes over X area during X time" is completely uncalled for.

You want to launch a war, but you don't want it's citizens to know about it. To me, that is treasonous.

I don't want to give those scumbags any rights. But I will, because our constitution says I must. That's the difference between you and I - you want to make them all comfy and happy. That's being fawning and obsequious. That's revolting.

No, honor drives me to give them their rights. I don't like it personally, but it IS the right thing, and that will drive me to do it, regardless of what they have done.

I may have missed something when looking trough the constitution, where exactly is it implied and who has written down the rules that constitute 'common sense'?

Iran has been at war with the USA since the hostage situation in Jimmy Carter's term in office. Nothing has changed, the USA is full of infidels and they (Iran) know the way of the truth. Sounds like the Church of Christ demonination if you ask me.

Iran was and is behind the bombing of many sites around the world. That being said, I don't want to make war with these people. However, if we must go to war, use nukes and wipe out the entire country instead of trying to occupy it and bring it in to the demcratic way of mainstream life.

It talks like a psycho, sounds like a psycho, it must be Bush? Is that really you George?

The whole point of propaganda is make people buy into your lies. Yours and most of the other Iranian propaganda drivel is such a feeble attempt, not even a paranoid schizophrenic would buy into it. I suggest you check out the links below and educate yourself about the real truth in regards to Iran. Some of them sound a hell of a lot more civilized than some of the people on this thread.

www.fff.org... How America destroyed Iran’s democracy (Visit Iran and the first thing they will ask you is why?) That’s a good enough reason to hate you in my book, except most of them don’t.

www.iranian.com... From an Iranian perspective.(check out the Iranian letters).

en.wikipedia.org...

And to all those who keep prattling on about how all Iranians are the same and how they supposedly jumped up and down with joy to celebrate what happened on 9-11. I suggest you check out the links below for the real truth. Yawn!!!

www.bestirantravel.com...
groups.colgate.edu...

Now please don’t assume all Iranians are the same. There not. Just like, not all Americans are the same and if some of the replies on this thread are anything to go by. Thank God for that.

P.S Funny how you warmongers don’t mention anything about those Israelis jumping up and down with joy as the buildings collapsed. Now there's a government that desperately needs taking down a peg or two.

excellent points kindred. I'm friends with Iranian-Americans, some who have relatives living in Iran. They are all very nice people and they like America. Obviously not every single citizen of both American and Iran are perfect and every country in the world has their fair share of people who are anti-whatever. But looking at the six degrees of separation, we are all connected somewhow. Going to war with Iran would be like going to war with our brothers and sisters.

Well said Curiousbeliever, I totally agree. The thought of Iran becoming another Iraq would be absolutely disastrous, not just for the middle east, but the entire world and I sincerely hope there's enough intelligent and civilized people within the US government to prevent this from happening.

Yes I totally agree I think most Americans dont seem to realise just how pro west some of the Iranians are. Iran's youth are some of the most pro western people in the region and probably the best hope for peace and democracy that will hopefully spread throughtout the entire middle east if only they were left alone and in peace. It's diplomacy we need with Iran not War, but then Bush and the neocons are mad and we must do everything in our power to stop them, before they destroy us all.

Peace!

You benefit from my taxes, right? Therefore, you owe me. Sorry you missed that in your one-dimensional world.

Oh, that's logical!
By the same logic, then, since you benefit from my taxes, you owe me. Sorry you missed that in your up-side down world. No one is persuaded by your "logic" or your "my country right or wrong" bluster.

And if you want to justify your love for the terrorists by calling yourself a "patriot", go ahead. You're not fooling anybody but yourself. The difference between you and me is, I'd make sure they received their rights (grudgingly), but you'd be falling all over yourself as you grovel up to them, saying "Love me! Love me! It was all my evil president's fault!

It is always easier to take that position than to realize that by by openly and freely granting these people their rights, to fair trials and transparent procedures of prosecution , we raise ourselves to a higher place morally and show them and the world that we are better than they have come to believe. This way when their sentance of death or life in prison, or whatever, is carried out there will be no room for complaining by the world at large.
As it now stands, all the world sees is a country ready to sink to whatever level necessary to eliminate anyone who doesn't agree with us politically.

We may know that that is putting too fine a point on the situation but most all other countries these days are starting to have serious doubts that America's talk of democracy in action and protecting human rights is anything more than that, just "talk". By protecting the rights of our enemies as well as our friends, we can regain some measure of credibility and respect from our allies and , who knows, maybe a few who have not been our friends in the past.

what else is important about this year?

40th Anniversary of the Reunification of Jerusalem

Jews and Christians have numerous events planned across Israel to mark the event. Somehow, I doubt it will pass off peacefully

Perhaps the PUBLIC is actually getting tired of our troops being killed, watching a whole country and their people being destroyed for Capitalist interests, and generally contributing to everything wrong with the world?

Or maybe we just like killing people for the hell of it.

Well if America invades Iran the whole dam wall will break open and in will come Russia and all other countries allied with Iran and then America will really be up a certain creek without a paddle, this will be the final step for Muslims if America is stupid enough to attempt it.

You think it's stupid for the U.S. to take pre-emptive measures against a nation that is already determined to go to war with us? Of course they're only trying to build up their arsenal of nuclear weapons at the moment, until then they have them, they'll try to stall a war as much as possible. Going to war with Iran promptly would be much more efficient for the United States then waiting for it later, when they are set and ready to launch nuclear attacks on our soil.

sorry buddy I am not buying it. We have been force-fed garbage about Iran wanting to go to war for two years now. It ain't happening. We are not even going. In fact this news probably is not really news, since it is obvious that the CIA has probably been doing this kind of stuff in Iran, and more countries around the world than you can count on your hands and feet for decades now.

I think this cat was intentionally let out of the bag. Maybe the gov't wanted someone to leak this to the public so it would spread like wildfire. Why? I don't know. But if that is the case, I'm sure they have their reasons whether they're good or bad.

hypohisis:

Israel launch a nuclear strike against iran using F-15`s repainted in US colours.... 1 gets shot down - the US gets the fallout , israel wins.

and yes they killed US sailors before so they will do anything they want.

just as they killed britsh nationals in terrorists acts.

My tin foil hat is buzzing. That's about the most inane thing I've heard of in a while. Who do you think supplies those F15s and the parts to keep them running? Talk about biting the hand that feeds you. I'm always amazed at the support that dictators and islamo-fascists receive from the left and their allies in the media, whilst the only democracy in the middle east with a half decent human rights record, Israel is painted out to be the monster.

If Israel attacked Iran they'd be doing us a huge favor. The U.S. lacks the political will to defend herself from Iranian nukes, with Nancy Pelosi running congress.
