Probably not. I don't even know what the legalities are of us talking about this blogger without knowing whether he was the one that did it. There could possibly be some legal ramifications to it if it turns out he is not the one who did this. I don't know.

Thanks for sharing that. I havent really seen media reports on TV over here. But it is good to note initial news reports and such in case of future suspicions or incosistancies.

Im not making any judgements yet on this shooting or the shooter until an offical story outlining the event comes out profiling whos, whats and wheres, when it can be analyzied.

Why did perfectly normal men join the SS and coldly take part in the systematic murder of over 6 million men, women and children, day in and day out, after killing them, go home for a nice meal with the family as if it was a day at the office as usual?

Why do religous fanatics revere and cheer when they strap bombs onto children and go and murder unsuspecting innocents for a religous idea?

Why does a seemingly unassuming guy end up torturing, murdering, and mutilating dozens of young women and continue to lead a perfectly normal life?

Why do successful, seemingly normal people join a cult and commit mass suicide?

The answer: there is none. Its called the human mind, an object that is less udnerstood than black holes and supernovae. We have a better grasp on quantum physics than we do the human psyche. Religions have spent the past 7,000 years of recording human history trying to figure this one out, and none can agree or come up with an answer.

Psycologists spend time and money trying to apply logic to the mind, and its a dismal failure. For all the faith in modern psychiatry, we arent getting any better.

Why did whoever did this do this? Could be any number of reasons: psychotic illness, socipathic personality, obsession, cold calousness, boredom, love, hate, manchurian candidate, bad hair day, morbid fascination with death, voices from god, voices from satan, voices from the neighbors cat, curiosity, pleasure, reaching a breakingpoint, ect.

There can be no logical explaination for the human creature and his actions, as the human mind defies logic, reason, or boundaries of what it is capable of.

I agree I was thinkimg about that when i first saw the link..like what if this is the wrong guy..but i saw the pics and assumed. NEVER ASSUME.

I am upset by MSNBC's homepage, which has two headlines: 1) 33 dead, 2) police response questioned.

I don't want the police to be pilloried for their response. First, they said that they didn't evacuate the campus. How exactly were they to know that this was going to be the worst shooting in US history? In 99.9% of cases, once a gunman has killed two people, he generally escapes or shoots himself. He doesn't usually go on to wantonly kill 30 other people.

Could the reaction have been better? Probably. Some of us here are going to say that they could and should have done more. But then, in the future, once they tighten security and become paranoid, we're going to complain about restraining civil liberties and staking a new claim for the NWO.

Let's hope that we all take a step back before we go nuts.

True... Analyze the word ASSUME real carefully and you'll see what develops. You're right, it's always not a good idea to assume anything.

It was a suspicious student's blog linked in a previous page, and while this person looks suspicious and IMO might be considered a person of interest, it isn't wise to name him here.

You're right. A mod edited the naming, and the rest were self-edited. It's best not to name someone until it's confirmed.

Please do not post the name of this blogger who people are assuming could be the shooter. Wouldnt you feel horrible is this particular person is blamed for someones elses evil actions???

The name the police have will be released soon. We will know then.

UPDATE: NBC reporting that the shooter is not A VT student. Source is an ATF agent.

But they are still saying he was on a student visa.

They also say the guns have no serial numbers.

That is the dead shooter?

Yeah. They are locating his apartment right now and working on obtaining a search warrant.

They are also holding to the story that he is a 24-year old Chinese national on a student visa who is NOT a student at VT.
