You use to be cool. I watched your post since the beginning. However, this is not cool. There are 33 people dead here. This is nothing to laugh about.

I am laughing at what the Feds are feeding the people, not the fact that this event occurred. Really, think about it. This guy supposedly killed how many people out of 33 with a .22 caliber gun? I'd like to hear the numbers on that.I am not making light of the situation at all.

Furthermore, whenever theres a shooting at a school, even a large campus, they should IMMEDIATELY and UNQUESTIONABLY cancel class.

They didn't do that. And the guy came and killed more. I think some heads are going to roll @ tech..

And Speaker, I've heard 3 eyewitness accounts of seeing the shooter and all 3 said he was armed with handguns.. they said it during chaotic moments of broadcasting @ MSNBC in the early day when something could slip by theoretically, but i dont think it slipped, it's just the (likely) truth.

It's hard to believe that someone could kill that many with a handgun but its most certainly possible, especially with the availability of handgun ammo?

I know 4 people in my city personally that own guns of various types, handguns, ak-47, AR-15. The handgun ammo is way easy to get. all the ammo is easy to get. The rifles are harder to get than the handguns as well.

The weapons were a 9mm and a .22 with the serial numbers completely removed.

A .22 caliber?
I mean, yeah, a .22 caliber gun can hurt and even kill. It ricochets off of organs in the body. However, are we supposed to believe that everyone who was shot with this .22 caliber gun died?

[edit on 16-4-2007 by SpeakerofTruth]

Ok so how about you try to see if you can survive getting shot in the head or near a major organ/artery and see if you survive. I understand what you were trying to say but the way you said it makes you look like a real asshole. IMO

Not to sound like a jerk or a know it all but I am pretty good with gun's and so are a lot of other people.A .22 isn't all that powerful but if used properly it's just as deadly as any other gun.

Really? Well, being someone who was raised around guns, I can quite confidently tell you that unless all of those people that were shot with a .22 caliber gun were shot directly in the head or in a vital organ such as the heart or kidney, they did not die from a .22 caliber bullet. I can tell you that unequivocally.

I regrettably have to agree here.

Speaker, maybe you should be praying for the dead students with me. The debate is not worth it.. my brother in Christ.

You dont know where these people were shot/ how many times, nor how many people died from being shot with the .22 . Nor do we know if he had a rifle type gun or a handgun. So for you to laugh is just appauling. Like i said before i understand what you point is but the way you said it was just ....rude. Would you laugh in the victims faces who got hit with the .22 NO you would not.

BTW you said you were raised around guns..well how many times were you you shot with a .22? Im sure you can die from wounds other than the head or majororgan...how about the neck or an artery in the leg/arm that can cause you to bleed to death...

You're right, the argument is not worth it. I am sorry that these people died... I just have to smile when I hear this pile of crap that the Feds feed us and we gobble it up like it's chicken or something.

Why is that so outlandish? If someone has a gun, chances are people aren't going to rush him to try and stop him. They're going to follow his orders in the hopes of being spared.

Why would they lie about how many people died from the .22 handgun?Seriously what would be the point of that? If the .22 handgun wouldn't of killed them then the 9mm would of...I don't get what your arguing about.

speakeroftruth,

Did you not say he also had a 9mm. Which is what many officers use. What about it being a 22magnum. Which shoots harder.

Are there any major arteries in the buttocks? Because I was hit there with a BB pellet one time and it actually bore through the skin a bit.

Ok, this quoting will screw up even after editing mulitple times but heres my answer.

Of course that makes sense until he starts shooting, then they might as well try to bring him down as they are going to die anyway.

A .22 magnum is indeed a more powerful weapon.. Like I said, a .22 caliber can kill, but it has to come from a pretty steady shooter and someone who knows placement very well.

speakeroftruth,

I think we need more information on the weapons that were use.

None the less what a sad, sad day.

See, a .22 caliber gun is little more than a high powered BB gun... While it indeed is capable of killing and some would argue that it's the worst thing to be shot with because it ricochets, the placement has to be exact with a .22 caliber.. It certainly isn't good at long distance either because the velocity of the bullet decreases with distance.

Most people don't realise the type of gun's you can buy legally.Technically that is a pistol and you don't need a special permit to buy one, atleast not in New Hampshire.
