Nice story Orion...

But I gotta say this one caught my attention...

Looks like "Pi" surrounded by two "R"s in a squarish area

I think I will go with Dust Devil on this one... you can see the vortex and the shadow is not sharp like it would be for a solid object..

Going out of town from June 28th to July 03 Maybe the ET Invasion War Games thread will keep everyone busy till I get back so I won't have to much to catch up on

Oh, I didn't know that - nor did I was familiar that Skipper analyze the same image (lol...he didn't see the cube shaped 'structure'
). Well, what can I say - very dramatic MSSS strip!

LOL Hey ArMaP... its not possible for everyone to know whats been covered in other threads or other websites and duplication or independent discovery is likely to occur (Thats why I like the moon thread... long as it it its all in one box...

But just because you discussed it doesn't mean that the geyser/waterspout will go away

Why is surrounding terrain perfectly undisturbed?
And why would dust column be this high albedo white - and 'dune' are pretty dark?

( maybe it was fog - and light could go diffuse...it is so brightly reflective
)

*have a good trip and enjoy
we will miss you Zorgon!

Yes, I know, Blue Bird wasn't even a member of ATS back then, maybe this time we can have some new ideas added to those.

But just because you discussed it doesn't mean that the geyser/waterspout will go away
It cannot go away because it isn't there.

blue bird, remember the old saying you can't see the forest for the trees. Look into the forest, hidden and camouflaged amongst the trees are absolutely incredible anomolies. We are looking at the trees and not what is blended into the trees. Open your mind and eyes you will see. Rik Riley

Rik - you are right and I can tell you that I am trying hard, coz this planet, image by image, this “red“ planet is coming somewhat alive and familiar.

blue bird

All those images of forests on Earth and of "something" on Mars show, to me, that those areas do not have the same type of pattern.

Earth forests have the same look, their pattern looks like it is made of many things with different sizes, but those areas on Mars look like they are made of things with more or less the same size, they look more like a grassy area than a forest area.

And those images of Mars, Dallas and a tundra mean what, that that area on Mars is a city or a tundra, that Dallas is a tundra or on Mars, or that a tundra is on Mars or in Dallas?
