Forest on Mars !?!?

pretty impressive find! However - couldn't this just as easily be debris/mineral deposits?

A while back on several threads I have been teasing people with

lyle.org...

Its funny really, considering what is really at this site. And there is no way to get in from the front page. Now several people have already had the data but I asked them to keep it to themselves. The reason was that we wanted to copy all the images before the directory vanished, as has been happening to some of the great finds we have made over the past few months...

But now Orion437 has posted some of the other links to this site so "the cat is out of the bag" so to speak...

Before I provide the links though... I wish to discuss the "true color" images from Mars....

We have all seen the NASA version.... Too much RED



We have all seen the COUNTER NASA groups versions... Too much BLUE



Below is a specimen of Vesicula Basalt (Scoria) from the Nevada Desert... notice its blue gray tint...



Now here is one of the images from lyle.org... showing Vesicula Basalt (Scoria) on Mars. You will notice that the color matches pretty close on the two specimens... Now looking at the sand and the pale dusty blue sky you get a picture of what is the true color on Mars. (Funny how it looks a lot like the Nevada desert though ) You will also notice how clear this image is. I know undo and bluebird have been itching to show some of these. The image with the "pond" was from this source originally

The term used on this website is "radiometrically corrected" color images. The color marker on the rover is on each page for comparison...

You can easily see the red, green, yellow, and blue colors on the chart...

The directory that these images are from contain ALL the Spirit and Opportunity Color Images... It is in Prof Markoff's directory and I hope that it won't move once all you ATSer's bombard the site with hits.. a chance I will have to take as it was impossible to download all the images from here

LOL No mistake that was an internal request not to post yet, you would have no way of knowing, Andsomeone was bound to find it sooner or later, besides you only pointed to the "front door" anyway. But your timing gave me the opening I was waiting for Its not like it was my secret you know...

I still think the "cheaper" version of creating near real colour images gives better results.



PS: I hope we do not flood that site while trying to download the images. In the meantime I am creating my versions of all the colour images from the rovers that I can.

I am pretty sure (99%) that the "caravan" is curved hill/ditches. The light is coming from left and allmost blends the side of the hill with the ground, the right side is in the shadow.

No idea what the space between them caused though.

Interesting teory!

If they are hills, this makes them more even more bizarre!

blue bird, the photos of Mars you have presented are no longer puzzleing. Part of the puzzle has been solved as humanoids live on Mars, I call them Martonians. In your photos you show magnificent humanoid statues that are as clear and plain as a Mars day. Martonians were and still are present on Mars as well as cities you mention, structures and monuments.

The caravan is interesting but what is of even greater importance is what is on the ridges infront and behind the caravan. On Mars what you think and see is isn't and what you think and see isn't is. Grammer not intended. Rik Riley

Hmmmm, plain as a martian day, eh? Sorry Rik, once again can't see it. Why did you choose Martonians instead of using the word Martian? Wouldn't they be Marstonians by you're logic? Maybe?

Hey, no one made fun of Sam Raimi for calling zombies by the term "deadite" in "Evil Dead", did they?

Perhaps Rik doesn't want to summon the vision of little green men, so he uses a different term like "Martonian". I would also accept terms like "Marsonion", "Marsite" or "Mar" (like referring to a Polish person as a "Pole").

On a similar note, when i lived in Laramie, Wy they referred to us on the local news (from Cheyenne) as "Laramians". That was pretty funny, since in every place i had ever lived they would simply have said something like "Laramie residents". We still laugh about that (and their extremely homely newscasters).

orthisguyoverhere, I wondered when someone would pick up on the term Martonian. Not to sound wacked I was told the Martonians hate the term Martian because of the stigma attached to that name. Martonians are the size of humans on Earth. Why is there not the letter s in Martonians verses Marstonians do not know.

I call the humanoids on the planet Earth's Moon Moonbies. I call the tiny tiny humanoids on Mars Sandmaries, I call the rock looking lifeforms that live together as a group Marockies, I call the cute looking cartoon looking entities on Mars Marmies. I call the microscopic lifeforms that have intelligent designs Microtechs.

Yes, people will say this is crazy, but I have not seen or heard NASA name this entities as of yet. Some that are viewing this thread will still be alive when the first lifeforms on Mars are actually recognized and shown to the public. Rik Riley
