I assure you the above is [i/]100% TRUE and correct.

What blows my mind is the day Val needed the table cloths for her work thing she called me to make sure they were in the drawer with the dish towels, I got up, opened the drawer, pulled BOTH of the table cloths OUT OF THE DRAWER to make sure they were the ones she wanted and put them on th kitchen table so she wouldn't miss them the next morning.

Springer...

I dont doubt the experience whatsoever. Recently I have had a couple of experiences somewhat similiar which I will attribute to the paragraph below.

What Im wondering is if this isnt some kind of quantum "warp".
Recently I have been reading/watching a lot from people like Michio Kaku, Fred Alan Wolf, etc. on the topic of quantum physics, etc. This particular story really sounds like some interactions between "parallel realities."

This thread deals with an interesting experience I had not long ago which went along with my questioning of reality:
www.abovetopsecret.com...

This whole topic of what is reality...parrallel realities, etc. may actually help in explaining the ghost phenomenon.

I see two possibilities for the experience Val & Springer had with the wallet.

1) IF it is ghost related, then some aspect from a parallel existence is interfering with the current reality.
2) This particular instance could even be more insane, in that in Vals parallel reality, she did place the wallet in the other location she ended up finding it in. Her own choices are colliding into each other so to speak.

To clarify #2, there is some experiement called the double split. (I could be wrong of the exact name), and this theory could help support the latter idea.

The gist of the experiment is that particles, when shot through a double slit, one by one...would pause at the double split, and then "separate" into "two" particles and then go through the slit acting as a wave. When observed, it acted as a normal particle.

The idea is that when you observe the potentiallity of the particle collapses, but when you dont observe, the potentiality is everywhere.
So, in essence, a "quantum quark", so to speak, seemed to have happened here, either way.(O.K. Im no M. Kaku, or F. Wolf in explaining this stuff.
) None the less, this is interesting to see that it is happening to other people.

Peace

Dalen

Wow long time no post for me. Some exciting developments!

OMG that sounds very interesting dAlen but it'll take me a sec to get my head around it.

What i like about this thread is that it's now so long, that most skeptics can't actually be bothered to read it, which leaves us with pure unadulterated paranormal enthusiasts.

Lastly Valhall, apparently you're renovating your attic? Seriously if a lot of activity is taking place in there i wouldn't miss your chance to extensively search it. Check for replaced or damaged (renailed down) boards, or things of that nature. There could be secrets just itching to be found up there.

dAlen,

I actually like the idea about parallel timelines. Although, that's just what the world needed, two of me!

We have talked previously about the early incident of my son and his cousin hearing "me" crying in the stairwell (but it not being "me" right now) being some type of time distortion event. I think that might go along with your theory.

Shadow,

We aren't remodeling the attic yet. That's probably at least 2 years down the road. There are loose boards up there (I mean they are completely removed and laying loose). I believe I have some pictures earlier in the thread that I took of objects i found under the loose boards. There is a LOT of material in the attic - old material. I found one letter written back during the Viet nam war that has some odd references in it. Some time I'll share the text with you. When we finally get to the attic in our remodeling efforts, I'm going to start going through everything up there with a fine-toothed comb.

it cant be over.
i just finished reading this whole thing. it took for ever and a day.

i need updates. im going to go through with-draws.

on a another note.
my dog has been acting strange recently as well. and the funny thing is, it all started when i started reading this thread.

there are three seperate (so far) places my dog just stares at the floor. and then sniffs, and then stares.
sometimes he'll run and get his toy, squeek it a few times, set it down and just stare. its sarting to freak me out.

how is Bear? does he stare at the floor too?

LOL...

Bear is doing fine. He has a new buddy my daughter got this last spring.

Meet Da Boyz...Bear and Dinky.

cute.

how does the new dog like the house?
has he experienced anything like bear did?

I think Dinky has limited mental faculties. I'm not sure he can pick up on much more than his kibbles and spots to leave presents. If he's looking at the floor he's getting ready to whiz.

Bear has not acted strange in quite some time. But we have also had a good long stint of not a lot of activity.

I'd like to say something in regards to a statement you made in your post about how your dog started acting odd AFTER you started reading this thread. I think I've mentioned this before in the past three years, but I have noticed that we can have a very long period of no activity, and then some one (like yourself) bring this thread active again, and after I respond, something will happen. It's like "they" know we're talking about them. So I don't find your statement that odd.

I don't have my divinesibyl.com server anymore. Is there one of those free places that does audio files, because if so I'll load them on one. Just tell me where I need to go.

Yeah, it's called AboveTopSecret podcasting.

Email it to me if you want. I'll get it hosted.

I didn't have your email, Z3PO, so I'm trying something different. Let's see if this works.

This is the recording we took of the sound that we never have figured out what it could have been. The interesting thing is that 2 years after this sound was recorded we had a marble floor put in the kitchen. If you slide a wooden chair across that floor you can make this identical sound. Remember, the recorder was on the second floor and the entire house was carpeted except for nasty shinyl-vinyl linoleum in the kitchen. We never could make this sound until two years later. Which plays into dAlen's whole thing about time distortions.

At the beginning of the tape you'll hear me walking down the stairs just after I've turned the tape on. Then you'll hear the tape player activate (I had it on voice activation) several times. I don't know what was triggering it those times (no one was home). At about 15 seconds in you'll hear it activate due to a thunder storm and then at 19 seconds you'll hear the "sound". You have to remember the entire thing was recorded over about an 8 hour period....but in that 8 hour period only about 25 seconds of recording was activated.

The Sound

Here are the EVPs. What you're going to hear is white noise generated by an EVP maker. In reading this thread you'll find that some people think that is not the right way to go. I asked 6 questions, and I believe I got a response on four of these. I used a free trial of Adobe Audition to analyze these. I don't have anything now that will do that type of analyzing. When I put it on "old time radio" setting, the responses became more detectable. These are the raw wavs though, nothing has been done to them.

Question 1

Question 2

Question 3

Question 4

Question 5

Question 6

EDIT: Fixed links. I had them all going to the same EVP...lol.

Maybe the reason that the dogs start acting weird when this thread is read, is because your mind opens to this. Sometimes I think that when we are even just thinking about the spirit world, it opens us up to them.

By the way, I have updates for this thread. We've had some activity in the past week. I'll post about it when I get home from work this evening.

We've had a couple of incidences in the past week. Either they are happy about the Christmas decorations or they're active because this thread got active again...that's my two theories anyway.

Last Saturday my daughter and I started putting up the tree and all our Christmas decorations. At the same time I was painting the last 8 ceiling tiles to finish my living room ceiling. These tiles take three coats of metallic paint - two coats of copper and one coat of silver. I can only paint four ceiling tiles at a time because that's all I can fit on my work table. I usually do it like this - coat of paint, wait between 1/2 hour and 1 hour, coat of paint, etc. I got four tiles done Saturday and four tiles done Sunday and then finished putting them all up Sunday evening.

So about every hour I would take a break from helping my daughter with the tree decoration and I'd go back to mix my can of paint up, open it and go paint my tiles. Now, on the utility counter there is a space where the paint cans were sitting and then on down the counter is where the hammer was laying. Four times in a row, I went back to mix my paint can and the hammer was laying right where I need to work, so I'd pick it up and move it over where it was supposed to be. Every time I went back for four times, the hammer would be laying right in the middle of the place where I need my paint can to sit so that I could mix it up, and I'd have to move it back out of the way!

Then comes Tuesday when I went back to work after the holiday. I have two hard badge cards that I wear around a lanyard on my neck at work. One is a badge and the other is a safety procedures card. They have narrow slits at the top of each badge (about 1/8" tall and 3/8" wide) that the lanyard hook slips through. The hook on the lanyard is about 1/8" thick so you actually have to put one card at a time on because you have to work the narrow slit of each card down around the curve of the hook and then put the next one on the same way. The lanyard has a spring-loaded hook closure that is also about 1/8" thick, so once you get the two cards on and let the closure go, there's no way the cards can come off. I've worn this type lanyard with these two cards for years now.

Every evening when I come home I pull the lanyard off and wrap it around the cards, tuck the loose end under the wrap, and stick it in the bottom of my purse - every day.

So Tuesday morning I'm walking toward the turnstyle and I reach in for my lanyard and badges and I pull the lanyard out and my badge isn't on it! So I stick my hand down in my purse and feel around and finally pull my badge out, slip it on the lanyard hook and go to wave it across the reader and it won't work! I think to myself - oh great! now the darned thing is demagnetized! I look at it and it's the safety card, not my badge and it wasn't until that moment it dawned on me that BOTH cards had "come off" the closed hook and were laying loose in the bottom of my purse!

In over five years of wearing this style of lanyard, I've never had a card "come off" the closed hook. To get both cards off, you would basically have to take each card off one at a time, squeezing the hook closure open to get each card off.

So for some reason the ghosty is being a bit poltergeistish this past week. mrsdudara has asked me to take up the habit of writing down stray thoughts in the house - that's proving to be a more difficult habit to form than I first suspected - and she has asked me to start noting if certain things may be trying to tell me something. With the hammer being repetitively moved I wonder if the message is "keep working on the house", or "I like what you're doing", or something to that effect. And then the badges off the lanyard, I wonder if it didn't want me to go back to work! Oh well - if I'm going to keep working on the house, I better darned sure keep going to work!

Thanks Val,
Nice update I've been reading your thread since the beginning. Seems like your "room-mate" is less aggressive.
Here's a short tale of my own.
I lived for a short period of time in a mansion dating back to 1500. A wonderful tree story building. Most of the furniture was from that period too.
My In laws were butler and maid there.
Well I took over cleaning while my Mother in law was at a hospice for two months.
They had told me about the "Grey Lady" who had been a maid there 200 hundred years ago. She still resided in the house so was the tale.

She wasn't always friendly but if she did take a fancy in you she would "help" you.
She apparently liked me, the lights on the stairway would be on in the morning, nick knacks I had placed incorrectly would be put in place, the coffee was once brewed in the morning( I put beans and water on in the evening)
Sometimes I'd test her and purposely move things around on a desk or table.
Always reset the next day. Some times I'd hear doors open or close and steps.

She never hurt me but my brother in laws wife was told to stay away in a very physical dream. She didn't like my Mother in law either, would scare her by blowing cold air on her neck or appear beside her or hide things from her.

I always talked to her, she didn't answer of course

Happy Holidays

A quote from the Mothman movie .... 'They notice that you notice.'

That is completely true. The more attention you give the little things they do .. the more they act up and the bigger those things will become.

Reference dogs - Our last dog, Astro, heard things when we heard them here in our (haunted) house. He'd perk his ears up and woof at things. The dog we have have now, Daisy (dumb!), doesn't notice anything unless it is from THIS world. She'll hear a dog walking past the house and start barking, but when the spook in our house moves the jewlery on my dresser, Daisy just lays there on my bed doing nothing and not even noticing.

I am of the opinion that dogs, like humans, come with different abilities (mentally and cosmically) and different levels of awareness of their surroundings.

Your right, its not an easy habit to form. Just try to keep one of those little notepads in your back pocket. Write down the very first thought you have....in the morning, when strange things happen, if your walking around and you find yourself thinking of something really weird, and thoughts you keep dwelling on the ones you just cant get out of your head.

As for your hammer, put it back where THEY left it. More likely than not they know something you dont yet. So, put the hammer back. The other thing they will do is if there is something that has obviously been taken and placed somewhere else....your badges for instance.....they might be placing them in a specific area so that you will find something else. These are just a couple of ideas. Do try to keep the notes, they will really help you, and try not to fight it. Just relax and if a thought comes, dont try to overide it, just jot it down. It does take some practice though.

Good luck!
