i can tell you, it looks like dust or something, but considering the facts, i doubt that's the case. unless, did springer maybe wipe the lens off before he took the third pic? or did he toudh it before?

He didn't touch anything. He took first pic, moved over, zoomed in, took second pic, looked at the pic and thought it was out of focus, retook the pic.

Also, so you'll know (because this was the first thing I asked) he wasn't smoking so it's not cigarette smoke.

hmm, well then. i didnt think it was anything like what i asked, just trying to rule out everything i can think of.

have you considered calling TAPS? did i already mention that?

Yes, sorry, you did indeed and I was remiss in replying. I don't have a big problem with contacting them. I believe I'm out of their "operating area" as they tend to hang out in the eastern part of the country, but I can do that. My only hesitation is that I don't want to get any publicity. If they're willing to look into our situation and keep our identity concealed that would be great to have an investigation. I'll email them and see what they say. I'll let you know what I learn.

ah yes, that would be good. you said your from OK right? if so, i dont think thats too far. theyve been down here to new orleans, and your not too far from here.

Wow, it's been a while Val. Glad to see you are still working on this.

I must say, the second photo of those last three you posted, ONE OF THE BEST ECTO SHOTS I have seen as of late.

Let me explain for those that are not familiar. Ecto is an energy form that CAN turn into an apparition, but generally will not. It is a free lowing energy form that is GENERALLY not visible to the naked eye. I say generally as many people have no ability to see it, but those with the "EYES TO SEE" can sometimes see it and then know where to take a photo.

Again, this is about the best I have seen in the past year or so.

As far as the EVP. 2500........ I definitely hear "There's 2500 in here". 2500 what I dunno. She didn't specify. Then again, you didn't specify what either. Remember, spirits will be about as specific in their answers as you are in your questions.

It may not hurt to simply ask again, "what are there 2500 of?" or, "you said there are 2500 here, 2500 what?". This is specific enough that you may get her to tell you exactly WHAT there are 2500 of. At this point, anything is going to be a guess. 2500 spirits? I highly doubt it. I haven't seen enough other evidence to show this. My guess right now, between 5 and 10. And this is going from what I have read from the beginning (and you know how closely I have followed this ).

Oh, and my personal outlook on TAPS......... don't do it. Jason (the "top dawg") is very sceptical of everything, and has a tendancy to get angry while investigating. Anger during an investigation is a BAD THING, especially at a place you KNOW you will find something, such as your home. I would advise first to find someone closer to home. Then if you want, send me a link to their site and I will check them out for you.

ummmm a stress head: a person that has a short fuse, a livewire etc. Gets angry at coworkers and shouts at them. Gets the image of a person with steam blowing out his ears.

I've watched the TAPS show a couple of times, and I agree that they get a bit 'dramatic'.....some of it having little to do with their 'ghost hunt' of the moment....I'd be a bit torn about contacting them.

At to the 'ecto' in the second photo.....it's better that a lot you see on some of the 'ghost hunter' sites......I played around a bit with the contrast and intensity and sharpened it a bit.....got some interesting results. Has anyone else seen anything in it?

First of all - HI IAP!!! Long time no talkie! I'm glad you saw the pic. I think it's awesome. No worries guys on the TAPS thing. I don't need to bring some one's "stress head" negative energy into this. In fact, we're having a rather interesting time learning how to do some of this "research" ourselves.

I have two things I'd like to run past you guys:

1. It appears that they are now gravitating toward Springer. If you read over the history, for a long time MOST of the things reported were by me, although every one had had at least one "something" happen to them. This may be because Springer lived most of the time in Dallas during the first 1-1/2 years. But now it seems to me they are now trying to manifest themselves to him. Do you people agree? And if so, maybe I'll have Springer do the next EVP recording and see if they are more willing to respond.

2. frayed - YES, I see something in the picture, but I haven't "played with it" yet to see if certain effects will bring out more. I propose the following:

I'm going to submit a gripe/suggestion into cosmic and ask if one of the moderators will be the "collector" in this effort. For anyone who believes they see something in the picture, once a moderator has announced in this thread they are the collector, please u2u them with what you believe you see. We'll basically take a survey and then when we're ready we'll ask the moderator to share the submissions. In the meantime, if you want to post the picture with some effects applied so that we can look at it, PLEASE DO! Try to do it without marking what you see, or saying what you see.

I have taken the liberty of combining the two shots into a composite pic. This doesn't have anything to do with what I think I see in the pic, so I'm going to point out a couple of things.



1. Springer states he took the pic then looked at it and thought it looked out of focus and immediately repositioned the camera for a retake. That's pretty apparent from the two pics because the only positional change between the two looks to be that Springer may have stepped back one step from where he was standing when he took the first one. The angle is almost identical, so he didn't "turn" any as far as I can tell. It just looks like he may have moved back slightly either while he was viewing the pic in the camera, or when he repositioned the camera to his face. This would eliminate the possibility that the effect was some kind of sun thing due to angle of the camera.

EDIT: I correct myself, I do believe he turned slightly to his left and slightly backward before the second pic. That's something to take into account.

2. Please note in the first pic when you look at it it will feel like you're looking at a pic taken at an earlier time of day because the front lawn area and the front of the house look brighter. But if you will compare the portions of the two pics that are not "affected" by whatever the heck is in this pic, you will see that the lighting is identical. This will be most apparent when you look at the sky color. When you look at the front of the house in the "affected" picture it looks like you're seeing shadows on the house. That's not correct. The "shadow" looking areas on the front of the house are the TRUE lighting, and then the brighter areas are the "thing". You'll be able to see this is true by looking at both pics side by side.

I want to say that I don't think it is so much Springer they/it are attracted to, but the home and it's contents. I also feel that they are more "intrigued" by Springer due to the fact that they feel he is sort of a "newcomer as he had not been around as much until recently. I could be wrong, but that's my story and I am sticking to it.

Sorry I had been away so much lately and am just now getting caught back up. I have had so much going on in the past year and a half two years that I am just getting around to getting back to normal, if there is such a thing.

But you know how interested I am in this, and I am hoping we can all come up with something good in your situation.

This is by far the most intriguing and interesting ghost story I've ever encountered, and I've read quite a few of them!
What really caught my attention was the condition of the Harry Potter book, I've never seen a book less than 50 years old with that faded spine. Almost looks like someone or something has deliberately aged that book at phenomenal rate!

I'd be interested in knowing if you've already unpacked Springers books and checked if that was really his copy or one which came with the house?

It is definitely moving away from the house, but I don't get the feeling (nor does it look like) it's moving toward Springer.

Your speculations on why they may be interested in Springer right now seem logical. Another thing is this. With Springer's health problems, and the fact that he is at home all day, I believe he has become the person with the most time in the house by now. So maybe they are getting very comfortable with his presence.

No we haven't. Probably won't for a while because we're in a tremendous state of disrepair with really no place to put them. I'll let you know when we do though!
