That Russian gas has continued to flow to Europe has always been known. European countries had become way to reliant on Russian gas over last few decades and that takes time to reverse.
I believe the gas exports to Europe are now about 25% of what they were prior to 2022.
but but whatabout all that big money with Russian Gas going through Ukraine Pipelines all during this WAR!! 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
WHY NOW are they all oh-so concerned and firm?
Because breaking the agreement would have caused massive problems for countries that Ukraine desperately needed support from.
BS. If that was oh-so important, NATO would have stopped the Russia BS in 48 hours, not drag it out for YEARS like they ARE DOING 🤣🤣🥥🤣🤣
What has that got to do with what I said?
While I agree that NATO could end the war quickly (longer than 48 hours but certainly in a matter of weeks) there is the ever so slight complication of Russia having the world's largest stockpile of nuclear weapons and a sociopathic president.
Then why has NATO stood down while Biden has blocked every effort at negotiatons and continually 'poked the Bear'?
Here's some information to consider ....
Ukraine’s Foreign Minister just visited Damascus to meet the leader of the new terrorist regime in charge, now that the U.S. has removed the $10 million bounty on his head. It turns out Ukraine had long been assisting the Hayat Tahrir al-Sham (HTS) fighters with intelligence and drones, presumably paid for by us. We had also directly been sending aid to a terrorist network which over the years had variously been ascribed to al-Qaeda, Jabhat al-Nusra, ISIS, or ISIL.
Once HTS triumphed over Assad, the terror killings commenced. The Western press has ignored this because it conflicts with the narrative that Assad was the only mass murderer in that nation. HTS founder and leader Abu Mohammed al-Jawlani (aka Jolani) fought Americans long ago under the al-Qaeda leader, Abu Musab Zarqawi in Iraq.
After Assad’s fall, Ukraine shipped 500 tonnes of food aid to Syria. Ukraine’s Foreign Minister declared: “Ukraine will remain a linchpin to food security in Syria, even if our country is engaged in a war.” How much of the billions Biden keeps shipping to Ukraine will end up in Syria? Why does the State Department use Ukraine as a U.S. cutout? Because we can not overtly support a regime led by a man who fought Americans in Iraq and supported the 9/11 and October 7 attacks.
Once Assad fled Syria, the U.S. State Department wasted no time in removing al-Jawlani’s terrorist designation. U.S. Assistant Secretary of State for Near Eastern Affairs Barbara Leaf met with him in Damascus on December 20 after the terror group seized control on December 8. Per Leaf:
He came across as pragmatic. Of course, we are—we’ve been hearing this for some time, some very pragmatic and moderate statements on various issues from women’s rights to protection of equal rights for all communities, et cetera.
Got that? Al-Jawlani has dropped his goal of imposing sharia law. He is coming around on women’s rights. Imagine that. Which is worse: if Leaf actually believes this, or is too dense to know otherwise?
According to the Office of the Director of National Intelligence, HTS is a good, old-fashioned Islamic terrorist organization:
I would encourage everyone to read this very informative article and give it some honest consideration.

Poked the bear meaning supported Ukraine against Putin invasion?
'Poked the Bear' as in everybody is so afraid of Russia dropping nukes that every attempt to stop this war or de-escalate has been blocked at the direction of Joe Biden.
If world leaders were so worried about nukes flying they would have told Biden to pound sand when they attempted to set up negotiations.
That tells me how real this war is. Remenber, there's a lot of information in Ukraine that Biden must make sure Russia never gets its hands on, even if it means nuclear war.
Amazing how on ATS Biden is both a senile incompetent who couldn't turn his own shoe laces and a Machiavellian mastermind controling the war in Ukraine for his own benefit.

It's pretty simple. If Ukraine wanted support from the countries receiving the Russian gas, they would be compelled to not cease the flow until the contract had expired. I'm surprised OP is so confused by such a thing.

Banker's wars are usually no impediment to conducting business with the "enemy."
During the US Civil War, the South had no qualms about selling cotton to the North, and the North had no issues with buying it.
If we are such a sovereign country, we would like to know if electricity and all assistance is already turned off at UA
President of Ukraine V. Zelensky wants to subotage the state finances of Slovakia and caused damage to the financial interests of the entire EU. Slovakia must show that it is a sovereign country - Robert Fico
Quote: "On behalf of Smer-SD [Fico's party – ed.], I declare that we are ready to negotiate and agree within the coalition to halt electricity supplies and significantly reduce support for Ukrainian citizens residing in the Slovak Republic."
Background:
• On 1 January, Ukraine cut off the transit of Russian gas, which had continued to supply several EU countries and the unrecognised republic of Transnistria in Moldova.
• Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico sharply criticised Zelenskyy for these actions and sent a letter to EU leaders expressing dissatisfaction with Ukraine's decisions and threatening to halt Slovakia's electricity supplies.

OK, am I getting this straight? Please give my head a wobble if I have this wrong.
#1. EU et all (aka UK & US) stop all business, impound assets and Bank accounts etc., connected to and in Russia at the start of the war, but continue to receive oil and pay for it to Russia, via Ukraine. I was under the impression that all gas/oil imports from Russia were stopped by EU et all at the beginning. Yes, I'm pretty sure that is what we were told and the fearmongering that followed that there would be shortages that first winter.
#2. Yesterday a contract between Russia and Ukraine to supply EU with oil/gas via Ukraine expired and Ukraine/Zelensky refuses to renew said contract.
Thus......
A. Russia looses an income from EU via Ukraine. Will this really affect Putin/Russia given he has been busy increasing exports to other countries in the meantime? Putin would have known about this deal's expiration and would have planned ahead surely?
B. Zelensky will turn the tap back on when EU and NATO allies pay him more dosh and/or make Ukraine a member of NATO.
Am I about right? I'm very confused as to where this move on Kiev's part will benefit them given they too will have been getting oil/gas from Russia too, no?
Why do I get the feeling the new huge price hikes in our gas/oil/electric supplies in UK which have just been implemented, with another one due in April, are just a form of 'rationing' by our Government because of looming shortages? Never waste a good crisis as they say!
This scenario reminds me of Katie Hopkins video...

Zelensky is just a puppet.
Runs one of the most corrupted Eastern European countries of all time, that took hundreds of millions of dollars and aid from these EU countries, then shuts their gas off having to look for more expensive gas alternatives.
How appreciative.
I called it a couple of years ago that this Ukrainian regime doesn’t give one rats ass about anyone.
They only care about themselves and changing street names after some Nazi nationalist loser that got zapped decades ago.
Think about it. These people don’t care about other EU countries or about the U.S.
Just siphoning money from “rich” western countries.
Personally I hope Slovakia stands strong and shuts their electricity off and stops support.
