Not a big deal at all. Except for Russia and the massively corrupt GAZPROM oligarchs. A right kick in the nuts.

But..but - Nazis! Bandera! And so on and on...

I meant not a big deal to Europe as they moved away from Russian energy. If this was done 3 years ago it would have had massive impact to the lives in Europe.

Technically yes. Third party countries paid Russia and Russia paid to pipe the gas across Ukraine.

One of the many REAL reasons Russia invaded. Not only removing the middle man to have direct access to Europe to sell their energy, but the massive food production of Ukraine would be a plus.

Zelensky is just a puppet.

Runs one of the most corrupted Eastern European countries of all time, that took hundreds of millions of dollars and aid from these EU countries, then shuts their gas off having to look for more expensive gas alternatives.

How appreciative.

I called it a couple of years ago that this Ukrainian regime doesnā€™t give one rats ass about anyone.

They only care about themselves and changing street names after some Nazi nationalist loser that got zapped decades ago.

Think about it. These people donā€™t care about other EU countries or about the U.S.

Just siphoning money from ā€œrichā€ western countries.

Personally I hope Slovakia stands strong and shuts their electricity off and stops support.

Nothing to do with Russia invading then.

Most EU countries have already moved away from Russian oil, bigger loss for Russia than the EU.

Thatā€™s not what the Slovakian PM and the people are saying lol

Yep nothing to see here!

Just screwing over other EU countries being forced to get more expensive gas alternatives.

Not worried out well then has it.

Europe doesn't want Russian energy anymore and rampant food inflation in Russia.

The EU had already massively reduced it's reliance on Russia's gas, dear boy.

Massive access to the Black Sea, direct access military wise to EU, and most do not know that the Donbas area has the largest gas fields in Europe, now add 40 million people to the population pool.

But those Nazis....lol

Fico decided not to move away from Russian energy despite this being obvious for the last 3 years.

Any impact on Slovakian energy costs is his and ultimately Putin's.

Trying to put the blame on Ukraine for not transporting gas for a country invading it is a ridiculous stretch even by your standards.

While Ukraine had the right to halt its gas deal by invoking a ā€œforce majeureā€ clause when the war broke out and deprive Russia of billions of dollars of funding for its war, doing so would have severely hurt Ukraineā€™s allies and likely created a major energy crisis felt around the world.

Both Russia and Ukraine make money off the deal ā€“ though Russiaā€™s revenues from selling gas to Europe far outweigh Ukraineā€™s income from the gas transport fees.

Prices came down two years ago, but still higher than 2018ish, I guess new normal moving from the cheaper Russia energy.

The sharp drop in demand from European buyers has led to Russiaā€™s energy giant Gazprom posting its largest losses in 25 years ā€“ with a $5.5 billion loss in the first half of 2024

The invasion is working it great for Russia isn't it.

From your own Ukrainian source:

"While Ukraine had the right to halt its gas deal by invoking a ā€œforce majeureā€ clause when the war broke out and deprive Russia of billions of dollars of funding for its war, doing so would have severely hurt Ukraineā€™s allies and likely created a major energy crisis felt around the world."

But now, the UK and EU has drastically reduced reliance on Russian gas.

So, there is that.

Glad you find it so amusing. But you are still missing the point.

Even from your own source, sadly.
