No one should get to break laws and circumvent what the American people decided should be immigration law.

"I think we should have open boarders" = let's pretend people are seeking asylum.

"I think it's fine to hire foreigners who will drive down wages of Americans" = let's pretend we are paying the same amount

If you want open boarders or want to import people with low wages - then change the law.

Until then you are breaking the law and the people are ILLEGALs.

Again, this is not about bringing in people who cannot do jobs. I do not believe all of the garbage about H1B not being able to do their jobs or that they are destroying America.

Where are the people applying for the jobs that would be filled by H1B? They are not here anymore as they once were. You have Liberal Arts mindsets in US colleges not Engineering.

They are not staffing entry level positions that a non-college graduate could obtain.

65k a year and there can be some additional? We let at least 10 million undocumented people in the country in the last 10 years...easy.

The discussion should be WTF did the current administration SELL equipment that would help stop illegal immigration.

It's all about merit. The US doesn't have the best engineers anymore. Speaking as an engineer, I've seen it too often.

If America's higher education is subpar and there aren't enough Americans qualified to work higher level job positions then how the hell do Americans plan to Make America Great Again? Are you going to outsource that, too?

MAGA did not put higher education where it is. The Department of Education and their predatory loans did. MAGA wants to get rid of that but no, it would ruin everything.

For 2023, 18.3% of college graduates have a degree in STEM, 39.3% have an associate degree in liberal arts and sciences, and 15.5% have a bachelor's degree in business. We are not even in he top 5 worldwide for graduates.

Less than 20% of the country graduates STEM. China produces 1/3 of all STEM graduates. Something is wrong here.
