Why Such An Uproar Over Non-US Citizens With H1-B Work Visas.

I am for H1B visas. But after listening to some guys talking about it. It really needs to be reformed. Guys like Musk benefit from H1B visas way to much. Some guy downloaded the data and crunched the numbers. Musk, just at Tesla, has hired some 2K H1B workers in 2024. He's abusing the system to get cheaper labor. Along with other companies.
The law states that there's a limit of 85K visas per year. But employers have gotten approval for 800K visas. There's a problem here and the whole H1B program needs to be revamped. Why are the limits not being enforced? If we are allowing in people. Why isn't the government enforcing that the companies pay the going rate? That should discourage the import of cheaper labor.
