Fighting a nuclear war is bad advice period.

Hence the MAD part.

I'm not particularly fond of the idea of my sons or daughters being conscripted Tolkiennether.

But it could be worse, you could be Russian, where that is actually happening.

Let's face it Tolkien, unless its to fight and defend our own shores.

Nobody is apt to turn up, so conscription, bar invasion, probably would not make much sense, in this day of age in most Western nations.

Hence the WMD and stand-off weaponry at our disposal.

I really don't care about either Ukraine or Russia.

I DO care that we have wasted enough of OUR tax money for a losing war. Stop the waste. Tough shyte for the Ukrainians, they brought it on themselves they should have respected the Minsk accords and should not have been shelling civilians in Dombas since 2014

The last few year have proven that the Russian military is much too weak to pose a threat to the west, much less "invasion on our shores"

However, Russia IS unfortunately a nuclear power and at some point they may respond with nuclear weapons, MAD be damned.

FYI from a very smart and experienced writer...

Ukraine does not have the targeting systems or satellites to use these longer-range ATACM missiles for strikes into Russia. Ukraine is merely the launch geography for the U.S/NATO to launch missiles directly into Russia. President Vladimir Putin specifically said he has clear eyes on what this deployment means.

On an ancillary note, having spent three months inside Russia this summer and having the associated contacts therein, the Russian government is currently in the process of shutting down their nation in preparation for what comes next. All of the previous rules and regulations for entry visas are essentially gone. You will not read this anywhere else, but I can assure you Russia is isolating in preparation for war. This is not a good sign at all.

Having spent some time in the weeds this morning, I’m not sure the current trajectory is reversible before President Trump’s inauguration.

Maybe its time for a coup that's more immediate than the B.S. pulled by Pelosi-Obama-Kamala against Joe Biden in July?

Are you trying to tell us that you haven’t seen the doomers in the media, here, and in social media pushing that if we don’t stop Russia from taking Ukraine that all the old Soviet states and Europe are next?

It’s kind of strange that those same people say that Russia has a garbage army because they didn’t run through Ukraine.
You can’t have it both ways.

This action is coming from the people deep inside the IC and State Dept who are committed to fomenting a serious conflict with Russia and Vladimir Putin as the White House is about to change hands. We previously said to watch out for this lame duck session.

It's only futile, if the MIC doesn't make a profit.

The Intelligence Community and State Department must have leaders who don't care if their wives, husbands, children, are incinerated by a nuclear bomb from Putin. Sick bastards. Trump needs to identify these people FAST...even before taking office. There's not that many of them.

All thoughts, feelings, emotions of every human on the planet will not mean a thing, if Joe Biden's dementia fueled decisions lead us to World War III...the final war.

Clearly a distraction from what’s going on the frontlines.

Recent failed Kursk incursion by Zelensky has eventually revealed itself here as a failed PR stunt.

Resulting in the major collapse of industrial and critical transportation hubs centers in the east.

If in doubt, look at the maps.

If not aided by the West.

No 'tard.
The left constantly brings up the fake risk of Putin invading Europe as the excuse for wasting lives and money in Ukraine.
We should not be in Ukraine, nor Syria nor fighting the Houthis.
Afghanistan showed us that while some participants may have had noble intentions, it ends in failure after many lives and money wasted.

Anti-war, generally

Zero probability that China would get involved and make itself a nuclear target. There is no upside for them.

Much more likely is that if even a limited nuclear war occurs, China will use this as a diversion to invade Taiwan. Once invasion starts, as we saw in Ukraine, invasion difficult to push back. The US should station tens off thousands of troops and materiel now in Taiwan, to deter a future invasion in the first place
