The only thing that would make this all "worth it", is if he dumped it all on Kamala at the end of the month and made it her problem for the next 2 months.

If Russia does it, it's a provocation. That is all Putin knows

Maybe Putin should stop complaning when Ukraine fights back using the same methods Russia already uses.

Or more realistically maybe we should just ignore him when he does.

If we believe what Trump said in 2022, he would have escalated this far quicker. He said he may have used US drones right at the beginning of the conflict.

He also said he can end the war with a phone call and before he even takes office.

The category of things Trump says without thinking is wide and deep.

The ones that are focusing on Putin's complaints are the same idiots that are condemning Israel for retaliatory attacks on HAMAS.

They can dish it out, but can't handle the consequences of their actions.

By the looks of it you’re closing your eyes to the fact this war is being escalated dramatically and the difficulty of conflict resolution is rapidly multiplying daily.

Allowing Ukraine to do what Russia is already doing is escalation?

It looked like Russia snubbed Trump anyways right after the election. Russian state media aired blurred nude photos of his wife shortly after his win. This was on prime time tv.

That to me doesn’t seem like something you would do if you felt like the new leader was someone you were more willing to do business with.

More likely, the claims were bluster from Trump.

Again, he is the same one who noted he would have escalated back in 2022 with direct US involvement.

Biden continues crossing red lines.

You: Biden isn’t escalating the war, but Trump would have.

It’s difficult to have rational conversations with the amount of TDS here sometimes.

I never said that, I was addressing the narrative that Trump has always been a dove.

I said on a page or two earlier that this is an escalation, one I’m not a fan of.

The only caveat I gave on the loosening of missile restrictions is this might give more leverage in negotiations.

TDS is an over used term, especially considering he’s the only president from either party I’ve ever voted for.

What's all this " red lines " nonsense ?

Putin does not have to be obeyed at whatever he says. Only weak people do that.

Trump provided lethal aid, javelins and training, to Ukraine after Obama refused.
He shut down multiple Russian Diplomatic facilities(spies) and expelled hundreds of Russian intelligence officers.
He sanctioned and shut down the construction of Nord Stream 2. Biden reversed this which enabled Putin to fund his war, btw.
Trump is no dove and he certainly isn’t a warmonger, nor did he ever cater to Putin like Biden has.

PUTIN loves all this attention he's getting. He's been dead, cloned, heart attacks, world annihilator, Biden hater, Trump hater, Kim Jong friend, Mullah friend, and more, just since 2022.

Anyone is likely to be an improvement over Biden (or Kamala for that matter).

But that doesn’t mean we have to be sycophants, absent of criticism. We can still be skeptical, applaud good things, and point out bad things.

Trump isn’t an unknown quantity anymore, we can be realistic about expectations.

In either event, we’re all soon going to find out the new trajectory.

Err....no I'm not, nor have I ever done.

Please show me any evidence where I have done so.

How did a pipe line that never delivered gas fund the war?

Not at all, why would I?

If you haven't done that, then I guess I wasn't talking about you now was I?

Then why make the claim?
If you'd stipulated 'some' I wouldn't have commented, but you didn't.

There's quite a few people on here who have expressed their dislike and disapproval of Putin since he first ordered his troops to invade Ukraine and who also have voiced their support of Israel and its right to defend itself.

Eh, I don’t know of many members here that fit that criteria.

I’m sure some are lost on the irony of supporting one country who’s land was invaded… just like there are some lost on the fact that Iran is the belligerent in that region.

Who’s Iran’s biggest ally and supporter? Who recently signed a defense treaty with Iran.

So it’s perfectly consistent to be anti Iran, and anti Russia. The two are in the same club.

I’m agree with most of that.
The problem though is the criticism isn’t really criticism.
It’s just TDS disguised as criticism.
This is what it’s like……

Trump: When I have the power in January I’m going to fix the plumbing in that house.

Biden: burns the house down before January.

TDS folks: See, I told you Trump was full of crap and he can’t fix it.
