I'm not saying its right just that its nothing new and it cuts both ways.
I'd question the impact any of this will have on voting intentions and suggest its more of a learning exercise to see what they can learn from each other etc.
Russian interference is far more insidious and malicious in both countries.
Its one thing for individuals to express support, quite something else for a political party in one country to send people to campaign for a political party in another country regardless of nationality or political persuasion.

Cool. Can we have Russians help out on the Capitalism side? I mean if we are gonna let in foreigners to our elections.

'Is there a difference between…
1) a Brit coming to the US specifically to campaign for a US election
2) a Brit coming to the US in the course of his duties and while they are here campaigns for a US election"
What duties?

In the 2016 election, the Russians bought a few Facebook ads and the Democrats screamed that they stole the election for Trump.
But actual physical campaigning by foreigners on U.S. soil is somehow (D)ifferent.
Go figure.

Since 2016, the British government, with plenty of help, has interfered on US political elections and their intel agencies provided cover for lawfare against DJT. The special relationship with the failed state of Great Britain is no more.

Part of what President Trump declassified 24 hours before leaving office, was info on how the Obama Administration worked with the United Kingdom in an attempt to "take down" President elect Trump...which continued after he was sworn in as President on 1/20/2017.
If I see a Brit in Florida campaigning for Harris, I will verbally and possibly physically disagree with you. This is not a joke or anything.
Someone will skin you alive and make you watch them wear your flesh. This is the only warning the citizens of a foreign government will have for interfering illegally in an American election.

I'm sure if people we re going over there to support Trump they would be held up as an example of how the whole world loves Trump.
As pointed out; its not the government that's funding this but The Labour Party.
Whilst I very much doubt they'll in any way impact voter intentions I think its wrong.
For a bit of balance; in 2015 a group of Republican Party activists came over to the UK and 'helped' The Conservative Party in some key marginal seats - Enfield North, Aylesbury and Windsor.
