Allow me to explain.

I don't give a rat's ass what happens in UK elections because I don't live in the UK. If UK citizens want to permit that, then I have no dog in that fight.

I do however live in the US, so I very much do not want foreign involvement in our elections, in any capacity. In fact, I don't want any non US citizen involved, whether or not they live here.

So to clarify, UK crap is a nothing burger to me. And I don't give a hoot in hell what a foreigner thinks about our elections. Y'all can piss and moan all you want about the USA. I couldn't care less what you think about it.

We Brits aren't the one's 'pissing and moaning'.
All I've seen is American's making a big song and dance about this, one even saying he would '# up' any Brit - as if he could - and then going on a mad tirade about all the psychopaths in the USA and skinning people alive.

A great advert for your country I must say.

Personally I find it all mildly amusing.

It's already been posted and paying for accommodation means they are getting paid. Period.

Being paided for it means recieving a financial beneifit. I asked you to post proof they're being paided, you didn't? The accomodation means they good be stopping with like minded people. So not a financial benefit.

Odd. I thought that all posters were entitled to post their opinions on ATS?

There are plenty of US posters offering their opinions on UK affairs on here.

They are receiving a financial benefit by not having to pay for hotels and room and board ....like to the tune of $500.00 or more a day...a reply to: Kurokage

Still can't be classed as a financial benefit.

Deliberately obtuse, or lack comprehension ability?

It's your responsibility to understand. For those who can't or won't, I have a remedy.

I think it can be classed as a fiscal benefit, for instance, if you were in the HOC you would have to declare it.
Also, if you worked in the UK and the company had people in the US who offered to put you up and feed you, no doubt that the tax man would regard it as something they'd have an interest in.

They shouldnt be "assisting", if it wasnt late and Im staring at a foot of snow falling id read more into it.

So here is my wag....

the dems are F'd, they dont think they can engineer enough votes to win calling in assistance from over seas screams this.

On the UK politics, my only beef is probably off base because no way the MSM will cover unrest with the authoritarian actions of the new Govt. So I am hoping the rank and file are resisting to the best of their ability the loss of their culture.

Bottom line, if its not a giant natural disaster, war, or something catastrophic if this administration asked for assistance the UK should have been smart enough to say no, because actions like this will lead the US down the road to isolation once more.

So petty its unbelievable.

As I've asked before, how is it any different from Republican party activists coming over to the UK in 2015 to work and campaign for The Conservative Party in that year's General Election?

All the faux outrage over what is a nothing burger is truly laughable.

It wasn't just that election - Atlantic Bridge has been an alliance between Conservative Party and Republican Party since 1997 to influence voting, policy decisions, lobbying etc.. for nearly 15 years.

It was eventually disolved in 2011 as it was illegally registered as a charity and the charityy, comission found they had no charitable role.

It'd be worth monitoring the Labour move for breach of electoral law, same way Musks' policies of giving away money to people who register to vote or encourage others to vote could be financial bribes from a foreigner.

The general snarkiness in this thread is a perfect example of why it's wrong for one country to send political teams over to the other to "help" one side try and win.

On a sorta related note, I was watching the footy yesterday and TNT were touting for people to donate £10 a time to this middle east disaster fund...The US just had two bloody hurricanes that all but destroyed parts of two states, yet I have seen nothing to raise help for them. Its just wrong.

Then why are you having such a hard time dealing with a handful of Brit's, when both sides of the isle have been doing this kind of thing for many years??

I posted earlier in thread that GW Bush went alot further, asking for any dirt on Clinton we may have on him whilst he was here studying.
Are you also as 'outraged' with Musk (a foreigner) offering money to supporters, or is that somehow different???

What, like staying in a Labour party doners home whilst on holiday?!?!? Angela Rayner and Kier Starmer seem to think thats OK, thats probarbly why accommodation isn't seen as a benefit!?!?!

I don't think anyone has been saying its right, just that its nothing new and that their 'influence' is negligible.
