So one side was armed and the other one was unarmed... If the unarmed were armed they wouldve been able to fight or something.

The only way to prevent genocide is not by stockpiling guns, but strengthening democracy, supporting a free press and non government organisations

If only Democrats knew theyre doing the exact opposite. Ow and supporting non government organisations? 🤔

The disunited states.

So, when states pushed back from Trump wanting to send in feds to protect federal courthouses during the riots, and the left called him a Nazi to even suggest was so much better in your view?

Isn't that a prime example of state/federal disunity?

LOL, I'm not sure you thought that out.

States have the power within their borders, I know it is hard for a country like yours to understand.

The US Civil war established the supremacy of the Federal government over State governments, especially in relation to issues specifically notated in the US Constitution.

Duterte was great and living in the Philippines was wonderful while he was President. He cleaned up a lot of corruption. Almost everything the western news said was absolute lies.

My wife is Filipino, and her brothers were 3-star Generals at that time, retired now with one in the police, and one in the Coastguard.

Ya know what would be amazing?

If you placed differing opinions in as high regard as the opinions you use as "sources."

Alas, I'm willing to bet you often wonder why you aren't convincing anyone to believe your nonsense.

In a fair world, wouldn't the same apply to you?

Yea....our dude has been inches away from assassination....twice....in two months.

But do go on and try to tell the class how it's "mUh rIgHt wInG eXtrEmiSM!1!11ZoMG!"

Sit down moron.

If the government were out to get him, he'd probably just be droned from 1 kilometre up, or someone would brush past him with a hidden syringe.

I doubt that they'd organize for some amateur kook to take him out with a cheap firearm.

Talk about missing the point......

You should really think about what you just said. Of course that could happen but you need to point the finger at someone else besides the obvious. Hell send a ballistic missile to the ninth hole and blame Joe the plumber right?

Both those refer to the CIA and if you're mad at them, you may as well be mad at the wind. Those guys don't care about Left, Right, Center, Up or Down. They just do what they do.

I flew into Manila in ‘21 - traveled to Bacolod, to Cadiz, then into province.

Spent a whole year there during Covid. Never had a problem and traveled all around northern Negros. Went to some waterfalls, visited family. Traveled back and forth to Bacolod many times.

Had to use a travel app for some of it at first. Had to do a week quarantine in Manila hotel then another week once I arrived in province, but nothing really after that. They dropped those regulations at some point. I flew out without any restrictions or app use in October ‘22 back to the states when mom got real sick and said she needed help.

But I’m a country boy and spend most of my time deep in province. I avoid the big cities unless I have to. Only goto Cebu or Manila when I’m flying in and out. Guess the restrictions were worse there. Where you mention is near Manila. It was very lax in province.

Anyways Florida was great and so was DeSantis throughout Covid.

Proud he’s standing up and doing his own investigation even if he caved and turned over the suspect.

The law in Florida must have found something interesting in the story behind this guys attempt on Trump. If the feds get this guy, they will drag it out and twist it so it does not look political and say he was after any political party member. I think he was directly targeting trump and there is some evidence that has been collected that shows some Democrat supporters or individuals were putting this together. Whether the Democrats in DC are involved is probably not the case, but I feel that there are some local democrats that got him fired up and possibly funded this attempt. If the feds take him away, they will downplay this as not being influenced by the democrats at all

When we're interested in your opinion, we'll give it to you.

Now run along insignificant little commie islander.

Communism and the extreme-right wing have both historically been very bad for their citizens. I do not support either ideology. I'm not a commie, nor am I a Nazi/Fascist.

I, like you, have by preference lived in capitalist countries with democratically elected governments, and I have mostly voted centre-right throughout my life.

The current government in New Zealand consists of a coalition of a centre-right party and two fairly hard-right parties.

Fascism supported a fully state controlled society: totalitarian control of society. This made it anti capitalist and not right wing at all. "Everything within the state, nothing outside the state, nothing against the state"

Mussolini was a socialist at first, pen pal of Lenin. He was a National socialists however, just like Hitler. Both for full state controlled societies.

Can nationalism (can be right and left) lead to discriminating laws? Sure but if youre right wing youre for individual freedom, and a high level of private ownership of the means of production. Which is very anti socialism (thus anti fascism). Any right wing party that doesnt aim for that is not right wing, let alone extreme right.

I don’t want much to do with Manila or Cebu as far as residence. Province is definitely for me. Negros is cool but not really down with Dumaguette, everything I’m trying to leave (expats). Bohol is attractive… well anywhere there but here is. Siargao and Siqijour are on the map as well as Palowan, retiring there in a few months maybe see you there.

Apparently Routh was the subject of a tip to the feds about a felon with a weapon.
They couldn’t verify it, closed the case and gave it to the local Honolulu PD.
x.com...

All these shooters on the list and nothing done.
Pro life granny and J6 granny were prosecuted.
The FBI needs to go.

God, I’m getting old.

Been married 7 years to my asawa. Lived about half of the last decade plus in the Philippines, didn’t really add it up til just now.

Florida is only place I feel comfortable in the US anymore. As it’s closest to the Philippines climate wise. (I spent half my childhood there as well).

Got to keep Florida free, as asawa ko mas gusto Florida. So guess I’ll be living most of rest of my life there… well, when I’m not sailing.

DeSantis is and has throughout his term, shown the leadership we need. Keeping Florida free and the economy doing well. Standing up to the feds and doing this investigation hopefully will inspire other governors.
