Those questions the reporter asked were valid and should have been asked. Maybe a hello would have been nice but absolutely fair game. She wasn't being mean - she was doing her job.

Really? I have not seen, ever, Trump go out of his way to "attack" black journalists or black whoever. I have always seen Trump as someone who questions people right back as hard as he questions them, sometimes in an offensive way but only as a counter or a retort to their "attack".
Do you have an example of what that journalist accused Trump of? Thanks

She asked a question, quoting Trump. He said he's never had a "question asked in such a horrible way" he said "Do you work for ABC? They are fake news" He said it was "disrespectful". She literally stated words he used and asked why should black people trust him. That was the question. There was no "gotcha", no hyperbole. Straight up, you used these words, you had a White Nationalist to dinner. Why should black people trust you?

Tell that to the people on left who hold literally everything against whites, even when they're mixed and just look white.

All I was pointing out is the hypocrites on left, using double standards.

Amazing how it only applies to people who are pale...

Cultural appropriation must be an entitlement of the leftists.

🙄

Trump was bombing so badly he ran away after only half his allotted time has passed. He also gave the Harris campaign a lot of sound bites to use against him.

This was a massive fail on the Trump campaign's part.

Why is it always female interviewers? It gives him an out of answering direct questions with his rehearsed 'nasty woman' mantra.

So take it up with Howard and Alpha Kappa Alpha why they let an ONLY 25% black student in their mix? Jamaican heritage in the US is fairly African-American last time I checked. Whole West African slave heritage too..

I mean 12.5% is good enough for a Pechanga Casino share, so really, why should the black standard be so high?

Especially with education. I don't blame her. I'd play up my African-American heritage and go to the prestigious historically African-American school with the original African-American Sorority.

Clearly at some point in the 80s she used this to her advantage. So Trump is lying. She has embraced her African-American identity before. Unless you want to argue that she sought out the black sorority during rush week because she was embracing The Indian Subcontinent?

I really don't see how getting semantic over Jamaican is a counter to Trump taking things out of context again. He didn't even understand his own headlines, or did and shared it deceptively again.

She couldn't be the first woman Senator, or first black woman Senator, but she could still be the first Asian woman senator. It was next first up.

I know where my questions and concerns about Madame VP Harris lie, I know her heritage and you are correct there's no problem with her playing up all, parts of her heritage.

But...respectfully

What else does she have for the rest of us... who aren't Black American, Jamaican or Indian did I miss any? I heard she is part Irish.

I do get she has to play up to her base because for whatever reason, she is late to the election.

What will she do for the middle class, the small businessman? Will my taxes go up as they did during Biden's tenure? I appreciate millions of Americans got paid with the dropping of student debt, my daughter was helped a lot.

However, not all Americans had student debt, a lot of us worked those 5-8 years, and the other half went to university and had the absolute best times of thier lives. Ive heard this from numerous college students, my daughter included.

Millions dutifully paid their taxes in thier "college years" and beyond, like I now find myself at 59 years old and I just found out my social security payment is pitifully low. So now I'll likely work till I croak

I am genuinely happy Black, Jamaican, and Indian issues are being addressed.

There's not a lot for my demographic to hold on to.

To get to the heart of the matter, Im not dead yet, my genetics suggest I have 15-20 years left of viable life left.

What do the next 4 years look like for my particular demographics?

Seems like you have a bit of a persecution or victim complex. You cannot claim she is appropriating anything as she is both.

If you have an issue with someone else, and an example, then you could start a thread on it for discussion.

Thank you for letting us know the Rachel Maddow spin on this issue. Usually we have to wait at least 12 hours. The speed is admirable.

LOL..you made me have a good laugh with that response and it's not even 7:30 am :-)

Fair enough, I was speaking to how the first question included "why do you call black journalists losers, stupid and racists". That's not to say that a black journalist cannot be stupid and ask racist questions. Regarding the whole "Why should black people trust you?" It is actually a stupid question because he already was president and helped the black community with the jobs- highest wages for blacks and crime reform and opportunity zones specifically for blacks so yea it was a stupid nasty question intended to insult and rattle Trump out of the gate but it didn't work. Maybe some like Rachel Maddow, Joy Reid and maybe you too and some other Trump haters see it that way but most people don't because other democrats never get this kind of treatment, ever. It was a nasty question from an ABC News reporter who would be fired if she ever asked a democrat a nasty question like that.

These are things she will be mentioning in her ads, campaign speeches and when she is nominated, believe that's today or tomorrow, and will be posted likely on her website.

Unfortunately because the Trump campaign keeps focusing on anything but policy, the rest gets lost in all the noise. He should have went straight policy from the jump. But..

Hmm I think it's a legitimate question for a person of color. I mean, you say you're a good candidate for me and want my vote, however you refer to other people my color as animals, you tell my congress women of color to " go back where they come from" you claim a black Presidential candidate was "not born here". You recently had a White Nationlist to dinner at your home. Why should I trust someone who shows such disdain for people of color. Seems legit to ask to me. And now you question the "blackness" of the other candidate.

It was only nasty because his very own words are nasty. I mean, they were his words. She should never have quoted them? Should she have said "oh Donald you say the craziest/ funny stuff sometimes, so anyway, tell us how you've managed to do such amazing things for people of color?" I mean really? It's not Fox or Newsmax.

All he needs to do with his campaign ads, is stand in front of a church holding up the Project 2025 manifesto and then he does not have to say a word, nor have to explain any of his policies going forward.

I guess we can see this differently.
Just because you are black doesn't mean you can't act like an animal or just because your a black congress women that spews hatred towards America and Americans you can't say "why don't you go back to your own country" and Obama was born in Kenya, his own brother has said this and when Obama was first elected to congress the AP ran a story touting "Kenyan born Obama" and his autobiographer wrote he was Kenyan born.
Being black or a person of color doesn't mean you can't be called out or criticized and when someone says something that is offensive doesn't mean it was racially motivated. "The boy who cried wolf" ever heard of that story?

Respectfully this is not a blame Trump issue, I hate that crap when either candidate talks trash to the other. I want to know what the DNC candidate is going to do about issues that are important to me

I don't even listen too much to the Trump campaign, heard it before, for me at least I know what I will or won't get from Trump. Furthermore, I give little credence to ads and social media, it's nothing but trying to tell their voter base what they want to hear.

Most times that I listened to a Presidential Democratic National Convention nominee there was very little for my plate.

Honestly, the most I found out about Madame VP's positions were on I Side With and while we were close on 2-3 issues the rest weren't even in the same zip code, not even close to what I identified as my core issues.

I was closer to RFkjr than 2-3 non-candidates, with Trump I merged on 54% of the issues.

I'll listen when and if she talks to my audience, my demographic so far it hasn't happened.

Harris must get out of her comfort zone and at least pretend to address the concerns of the Independent and moderate Republicans.

Sorry it was a bad joke over text.

My sentiment was that its difficult to take Democrats seriously when they lament that their political rivals are being sexest and/or racist. It's a campaign strategy that they have used too often, even against each other during primaries. It's no longer impactful and too easy to dismiss. Hell, Harris tried to win the 2020 Democrat primary by painting Joe Biden as the sexest/racist and than she became his VP; and I'm supposed to take the insults seriously now?

Ah well. Yes, well considering you still believe the birtherism story, nothing I say will likely matter. And certainly call out or criticism. Nothing wrong with that. But telling 3 women of color to go back where they came from? They are U.S. citizens. And he didn't mean their home states. Inviting a White Supremacist to dinner at your home? After making these kinds of statements? Calling a DA an animal for doing his job? Uhh ok there buddy. We will agree to disagree.

Liberal media are full of crap, they have been behind the promotion and sensationalism to persecute a sitting president for 4 years and a former president for 4 more.

Trump has been disrespected more than any other political figure in history and you are complaining because he call her fake news?

Then taking into consideration what kamalalala is doing to the black communities with her race and gender card, that is more disrespectful of blacks than Trump calling the women fake news.

Wake up frog you really need to get out of the pond and into reality land.

The reporter asked a legitimate question. Another reporter can ask Kamala whatever they want. The question was not disrespectful. He of course does not like the question, he was angry, he fumbled. Blame me all you wish.
