If the million Palestinians took away the mandate of a few thousand Hamas members for governing, not much Hamas could do.

If Israel started treating Palestinian civilians as human beings, with the same right to self-determination as Israel claims, then Hamas, Hezbollah, and the Houthis would cease their attacks on Israel. Those three groups exist for the sake of trying to help the Palestinians. The western powers and the Zionists made a mess of this a hundred years ago and haven't been able to do anything to even improve it since then, much less resolve it. The surrounding Arab states and now these groups are trying to straighten things out. One might argue that they are going about it the wrong way, but what about 'fight fire with fire?' Hezbollah and the Houthis are not committing war crimes, either. Not even the US or Israel is claiming that they are, other than crying 'terrorist' all the time, but if that is true, then the pot is calling the kettle black. That's a big IF, too, btw.

Why would you compare what's happening in Gaza to two world wars? The intensity, magnitude and duration of those wars aren't anywhere on a comparable scale. Or any of those wars for that matter. They all extended over a period of years

Is Israel -Gaza even technically a war if the assault isn't evenly distributed? It seems more like an operation or a bombardment.

It’s one thing to fight for your side and want to live and achieve peace. It’s another to fight for a Japanese emperor or a Palestinian god that expects religious cleansing and martyrdom.

They do. The call / text / communicate when they are going to strike. They call civilians to evacuate.

Hamas tells them to ignore the warnings, and expects them to be humans shields in a religion where their good and their mothers expect martyrdom.
