The fact that this dysfunctional GOP led House is would rather kowtow to their extremist minority than work on passing meaningful legislation.

So 38 bills passed the House and waiting on the Senate and 26 bills passed the Senate and waiting on the House.

You are making zero sense in any of this as you try to pull something out of the air that isn't there. 115 and 117 were both better than 116, and the House has been better in 118 than the Senate.

Donald Trump has never won the popular vote. He didn't win the popular vote in 2016 and he didn't win it in 2020.

And that means what exactly? We all know the Dem have NY and CA locked up so yes you guys get the popular vote congrats.

Trump was never legit,

If you were a Republican and said that about Biden you would go to jail for 20 years.

It means that I was replying to the poster that posted this: www.abovetopsecret.com...

"We know who the EC elected. But not the voters."

What do you think it means?

Does this mean anything in elections?

Let's not get ahead of ourselves, here. This thread is about suggestions for Speaker of the House. Liz Cheney is equally as "not an elected Representative" and as equally, well almost, as controversial as Donald Trump.

The Republicans don't want her for anything, so she might as well go Democrat. Suggesting Trump was kind of stupid, but this was what we would call crazy stupid.

Trump was never legit, even as the asterisk president.
Jordan is not a leader, never passed a bill , has that whole sexual abuse scandal behind him that people here make excuses for. Not a good look for a party that not too long ago, elected a sexual abuser as speaker.
It’s a plank in the platform now? “Grab em by the …”

On the other hand, I am amused and a bit happy that GOP has decided to set their own hair on fire.

Also, yeah Trump lost.
Jordan will receive fewer votes on the third round, I think.
And you want to make revenge lists of people.

I hope you feel better, I honestly got this image of you screaming out each line as you wrote it...lol

Nah. I don't believe that. When this is all said and done, and Trump's toxic dust settles, I think Liz Cheney will be back in the (compassionate) conservative, war-hawking, Republican saddle again.

And she can clearly count on your support.....

she gained the support of millions of Americans when she put country before party.

There are GOP members telling media the current plan is to humiliate Jordan. He'll receive less votes with each subsequent round but the No votes won't be the same people everytime, making it harder for Trump and MAGA to pinpoint who they need to try and punish.

What we will ultimately discover, is those Republicans who stubbornly keep voting against Jordan are either involved with the same crimes as Biden and Menendez, or have been paid off by Democrat operatives, like The Soros family, or the Murdoch family, or the Bush family, or the Biden family, or Nancy Pelosi, etc..

All of whom have crimes they want kept hidden. To them, Jordan would be a far more dangerous speaker than McCarthy was.

Was talking to just a regular, non political person, a mechanic. TV in shop was on. Fellow commented that the holdouts are the ones getting paid by democrats.

Non politics-junkies can see whats going on no matter how hard the donks try to convolute it.

Many of them held out against McCarthy too, but during the closed door meetings he promised to protect them.... Or not go after them for their criminal or corrupt deeds.

Obviously, Jordan is not making any such promises or agreements.

He will be a good Attorney General for President Trump in 2025.

You really think somebody is going to put their name on that when they're already getting death threats for not voting for Jordan?

Or they actually want a functioning government. Something that will not happen under Jordan.
