wood boats can "last" over 100 years. My point was that they wouldn't be seaworthy.

Depends on the boat and the materials, and if the people working the boat knew what they were doing. A modern boat from the 1800s worked on and maintained by ship builders, using modern materials and sealants ... yes. A boat made in 2400bc with those materials by people who didn't know what they were doing, and left out in the elements .... NOPE.

Have you ever noticed how much less water and food is needed while cooped up and sedated people are through storms and recovery from injury or sickness?
Do not misconstrued what I am addressing from recovery from sickness.
I am addressing the lack of need for water and food when not succumbing to strenuous activity during storms and catastrophes where you shelter in place.

Plus let's discuss what is missing from all historical accounts.
Hemp.
Not cannabis, but hemp.
Considered to be the oldest agricultural commodity began in Mesopotamia.
It's biblical name keneh bosm.
It is the reason for the name Canaan and is historically prevalent in almost every society.
It has all 21 essential amino acids providing a complete protein index.
It has a perfect 3:1 of omega3 to omega 6 fatty acid ratio.
It is nature's most perfect food and used for textiles to animal bedding.
It's use most certainly exploited by Noah and family and extended into Canaan and the Canaanites.
Hemp.
hemplete.com...

Hemp is the only food I am aware of that can sustain life. Honey a close but distant 2nd place.
And if Noah was sprouting seed it would require almost zero sunlight and be the best animal fodder by far for just about every animal including carnivores for short term supplemental nutrition needs for a year or 2 on and off the boat.
During the potato famines entire Dutch communities survived for 2 years with 2 tablespoons of hemp seed oil per day.
I imagine with seed for fodder and oil already pre pressed and in jars the nutritional needs for the humans and 90% of the animals are met quite easily.
Which brings me to an obvious question for today.
Why was hemp production outlawed worldwide except in Russia and China?
How dumb can we be?

They still majorly used pine pitch in the 1700s. Just admit it, the wood would have been able to endure over 100 years

Not to mention all the fish they would catch. There's so many practical solutions that could feed thousands.

I'm sure all of those carnivores would have been fine on a hemp diet.

Just how much hemp did he manage to produce to, say, feed a single elephant?

Not to mention the Hippos, rhinos, giraffes etc.

"During the potato famines entire Dutch communities survived for 2 years with 2 tablespoons of hemp seed oil per day."

Do you have a source for that?

Not if it was covered in pitch, which was a known practice among ancient cultures.

- You have to prove that Noah would have known how to make the pitch. He wasn't a boat maker.

- You have to prove that Noah would have had enough pitch to cover the boat inside and out many times over the
hundred years.

- You have to prove that ancient pitch from 2400bc could seal a boat that size and hold up.

- You have to prove that Noah had the time to keep putting pitch on the boat ... even while building the boat that he didn't know how to build, and collecting the animals from around the world, and collecting the animal foods from around the world, and collecting the water needed.

- You have to prove that rot doesn't happen to boats left out in the Mesopotamian weather for 100 years.

Besides all the flood narratives that talk about boats that big.

Myths. Those are not historical documents or artifacts.

There's many documents

None of that is historical documentation that people of those time periods and places knew how to build a wooden ship half the size of the titanic. It doesn't exist. The archeologists and scientists who work with these cultures all say so. I'll take the experts word on this ... not yours. It's not OBJECTIVE.

Why do you believe Adam was a cave dwelling idiot and not the 1st man in God's creation who walked with Him and conversed with Him in the garden?
Should we not believe Adam started with the highest of intelligence being created in His image.
And because of sin we simply just got dumber from that time forward?
Is it because we are so dumb today?
That we must project it onto Adam?
Or Noah?
Half the people I know think they need miracle grow to grow their own food.
Cannot tie knots.
Cannot change a tire.
Does not check their motor oil unless a warning light goes off.
Cannot balance a checkbook.
Has no idea how money works.
Etc...
Just in the last 10 years we have gone to the point where without Google most in this thread would be stuck with
"Nu uh"

Sea fish would have died from a massive influx of fresh water.

Was the Ark also a trawler anyway, or was Noah the bestest sports fisherman, like, ever?

That's not going to fly.

You don't think the end of the world is stressful? You don't think that migrating thousands of miles is stressful? You don't think that not having your native food supply is stressful? You don't think that being subjected to foreign climates and environment that you aren't built for is stressful?

Hemp.... Honey

Yeah .. NO. Lions need meat. Tigers need meat. Hippos need grass. etc etc. Animals have certain dietary needs. Those things don't make it.

You guys need to stop keeping these types of threads alive.

The same things are being said over and over.

Anyone just following along will read all that was posted and decide for themselves, what is more convincing.

Obviously, nobody here is going to convince the other side.

Noah and his family would't have had time for fishing.
They would have been too busy removing all the poop and pee.
I posted the information.
If they didn't spend all day doing it, they would have been overhelmed by it.
And all would have died of disease.

Why does that not surprise me?

You know a lot of idiots.

More than most folks do. It seems.

But that's for another thread.

When finding someone to build a big boat, You think God would have commissioned someone who didn't know how to build boats?

"Noah wasn't a boat maker" is probably the funniest objection so far.

I'm gonna stop though, this is getting annoying. Be sure to feed your pet some real food every once in a while

Suppose if the "hemp" was of the super s@unk variety that might help explain the entire hullabaloo.

So scores of hungry carnivores on a 440ft long wooden boat with the rest of the animals........some people may be inclined to believe that might turn into a bit of a buffet.

As to ""communities survived for 2 years with 2 tablespoons of hemp seed oil per day."".

I can imagine the source.

I used to be able to source that info.
Just 3-4 years ago it was available.
It is memory holed.
Hemp is that important.
Can you explain why?
Why was industrial hemp, or Indian hemp outlawed as a schedule 1 drug?
It cannot get you high like cannabis can.
Why was it grouped in with cannabis and called Marijuana?

It used to be a plant that saturated the USA

Why do they rewrite laws and definitions to call CBD "hemp", when it is obviously a cannabinoid.
Imo it is one of the most damaging conspiracies to humankind.

The purpose of this thread was to show that the Noahs Ark flood was a myth.
Most people understand that. There are some who still cling to it.
The irrefutable science has been provided.
PROOF that the story is absolutely false. (and ridiculous).
Some can't handle the truth of it.

The paper, lumber, and the rise of the petrochemical industries of the time, were the ones responsible for demonizing hemp.

That's why, because as you know, it can be used for all sorts of different purposes.

As to your disappeared sources, how very convenient.
