But you've already admitted, and rightly so, that the media apparatus is fully on one side.

We want the system fixed, like yesterday.

Here, we have Gaetz doing that with his handcuffing of McCarthy from the get go and standing on principle of things like single item bills and no funding for a foreign nation.

Now I'm sure it benefits him politically, granted but to pretend like it's not exactly a piece of the solution doesn't really apply here.

Gaetz wants to get rid of the Speaker who ordered an Impeachment Inquiry of President Joe Biden.

Let that sink in...

McCarthy is a RINO that is willing to sell out his party and wants to control the impeachment proceedings, making sure to give a heads up to the Dems on everything going on. He's a POS.

Let that sink in.

Which will take us right back to where we have been before... republicans get thumped in the next election and if the fix is in Democrats have 100% control and we are dead as a republic.

*shrugs* he has ZERO chance of getting what he wants and extended shutdowns hurt the gop far more than the dnc.

Gaetz just showed that one person CAN make a difference.

That's a good thing if you ask me.

Hope your right but if he gets his way I fully expect the entire thing to be handed over to the DNC in 24.

The freedom caucus is to small to enact the change he is trying to do, they need to work with the moderates to get the change they can and they are pissing away the leverage they have.

Trump had record votes in 2020.

We know why Trumps preferred candidates lost in key states in 2022.

While all this is going on, concurrently is the anti-parental sentiment. The going after of children. Inflation, debt, border and drug crisis.

I think voting is the correct solution.

Yet we still have the issue of non transparency regarding that.

If every perceived "bad for the GOP" guarantees a win for the DNC, there isn't any middle ground to be had.

I don't necessarily disagree but the simple fact is the left is successful because they are lock step and vote completely as a block outside of two of them, neither of which are reported to remain democrats.

Pork, and BS has been problem forever, spending millions on silly things like how flies propagate in Africa etc etc etc, bridges to no where etc.

I am torn on Ukraine. You defend freedom on foreign soil so you don't have to on your own. Defense 101, much better to support someone else fighting your enemy than your own people dying to do so. Problem is, like WW2, most of the time they can't really defend themselves and we must help.

Ukraine has really done well however, we trained them so they should. If we had armed them correctly from the very beginning when they ousted Russia this would never have happened. Imagine what they could have done with tanks, heavy weapons and air force. We have them rocks to throw at tanks and did not let them into NATO, which our CIA promised them all those years ago.

One thing on funding, we have not given Ukraine billions in cash, a very large portion of that has just been old beans and bullets, which we say is worth X billions in money. Allot of which we needed to rotate or replace anyway.

But, as bad as it is in this country I say no one, none of the ctrys we give 300 billion a year to would get a dime until this ctry is whole. That just common sense. It not our job to prop up NATO or the U.N. or WHO etc etc etc.

Helped setup simulation center on Ukraine way back when and am very proud of the fight they have put up. A good Russian is a dead one.

Pur military has set back and laughed, we would mop the floor in Russian blood is what we have learned.

Honestly, all across Europe is old equipment, tanks etc that we should have given Ukraine a long time ago. Biden, should have drilled baby drill and broke Russia. Sanctions mean nothing when you raise the price of oil and let Russia make money instead of losing it.

Yea Jim, agree. Despite what ppl say if I were Texas would just closed the border.Trump was successful because he knew Mexico needs us, not the other way around. Like, you want trade at all fix the problem. Now, the corrupt Mexican govt so rich from human trafficking they don't care lol. Me, I would just mine it, for while lol. Be surprised how fast it stop you blow up a few.

Seriously though, they are killing hundred thousand Americans a year just with fentanyl and Russia invaded a ctry with less than five percent of the illegals that have flooded this ctry in two years. 250k in just one month. That is not invasion but take over.

What is wrong with us letting this chit happen. Texas should close borders, put guard on border and shoot to kill.

I think it's already handed to them, we just don't know it yet.

Biden is on his way out, and soon. I don't think anybody's going to be happy with his replacement, or the VP pick that will become POTUS as soon as forces join to give Harris the boot.

Point being, one is given precedent over another.

Right, wrong or otherwise, a broken nation can't really help another broken nation.

Yes, how stupid are we. We been doing it since WW2 lol. I completely agree we are past broken. Honestly I do not think we recover. Not unless we do what Jefferson said would be necessary from time to time, a blood revolution.

Who knew he was a prophet.

Do you also find it amusing how students of history are often cast as prophets?

I don't want to get into Ukraine, suffice to say that I'm not for supporting them...at all with taxpayer dollars.

Here, we have Gaetz saying a thing, and then doing a thing. And it wasn't mysterious or quiet.

I'm not following the logic being proposed here that he is the one in the wrong or a bad guy for doing such.

Well it more that his points are meant to give him air time and keep him relevant and still in congress. He could lose his sit.
He is trying reflect away from that situation.
Honestly, an idea without support is just a fart, goes no where. Should foster support and submit bills, but word is he changes it midstream and nothing ever gets written. There is nobody supporting him for these reasons.

No the choice but to shoot to kill of course you don't want to shoot women and children but other circumstances have to be met.
Personally I think the immigration not immigration illegal entry into United States is behind all politicians and it's just BS that they're showing publicly.
The reason why I'm saying that is the birth rate from naturalized citizens in America has fallen drastically and America needs New blood but they should have they who is they the people that control are well-being in America they should have just said okay it will accept people what you're going to have to go through the legal process.

Dont like Mcarthy but Gaetz doesnt seem to be making any sense lately, a bill was offered where the freedom caucus got almost everything it wanted and they said no because the cuts werent deep enough.

The shutdowns tend to be theater IMO. It shows that they’re sticking it to the other side. Whenever they actually hold the house, do we see meaningful cuts and a focus on fiscal responsibility? Of course not.

I get that in politics there’s going to be bickering, and in most cases that’s fine. A shutdown doesn’t actually save money though, ultimately we all know it’s going to resume, it just puts strain on an already struggling system.

I’ll be the first to say the federal government is incredibly bloated, and I’d love to see it trimmed and reformed by sensible people… but the hostage approach probably costs more than it ultimately saves.

The right will likely get the house soon, they need to prove themselves then to keep voters confidence so they’ll have the house more.

McCarthy has more in common with Pelosi than his base...

Nice to see people coming to this realization.

You are right on that, we never lost pelosi, we just gain a pelosi in pants, he is doing the same policies that she did, benefiting democrats all the way, all the shutdown is a scam, a show, to make it look like he cares.
