Yes. This is a small plane that only holds 14 people in the maximum seating configuration, so there's not a lot of fuel (only about 2200 gallons at maximum load), and it appears from the video that one wing separated from the aircraft, so it leaked a lot of fuel out before impact. That will reduce the time the fire will burn, but the remaining fuel is going to do a lot of damage to what's left of the aircraft after impact. A vertical impact like that tends to leave more intact after impact, because the force of impact is more spread across what's left of the airframe, but it's still going to do a lot of damage.

Ultimately though, there's no way to tell without more pictures and video from post impact.

Lots of replies already, but this is either the biggest coincidence ever, or 1) Putin had him killed or 2) Prighozin faked his own death, to avoid possibility #1.

Wagner was the largest, most violent paramilitary group in Russia. They were known for killing traitors to the group with a sledgehammer. In December 2022, they officially had over 50,000 troops in the group. They operated in Syria, Libya, Africa, Mali and Ukraine. They've been accused of murder, rape, torture, and robbing civilians.

Last month they left Ukraine and marched towards Moscow, supposedly in a coup attempt, but stopped just short of Moscow, and suddenly moved most of their troops to Belarus after Lukashenko negotiated a deal.

I'm sure you're aware of the war in Ukraine. So I'll skip over that part.

Wagner Group is a mercenary group that Russia employs to handle a number of operations around the world. They number around 50,000 with Prigozhin as their leader. Since the start of the war in Ukraine the bulk of their forces have been deployed there.

Earlier this year, Prigozhin started becoming very vocal about how Russia's Ministry of Defense were treating his soldiers. It started with complaints about being under supplied before building to claims that Russian troops were intentionally shelling his troops.

This ultimately led to Prigozhin pulling a large number of his men from the front and began marching on Moscow. Prigozhin and his men got within 125 miles of Moscow with little trouble before suddenly stopping.

There's still no explanation for why they stopped but Prigozhin made a deal with the Russian government that he would go into exile in Belarus while part of Wagner Group would become incorporated into the Russian military.

If it's determined that Putin is responsible for Prigozhin's death, Wagner's troops, who are Russia's most experienced troops in Ukraine as well as Russia's boots on the ground in the current Niger situation, may end up turning on Russia. On top of that, Prigozhin is a bit of a folk hero among the Russian people. So his death could also breed unrest among them.

The state apologizes for the radar anomalies earlier today.

Stevie Wonder could of seen this coming! Guys like this have multiple suspects gunning for them.
