The hell, Prig's going Full Paarthurnax against Alduin here?
As much as I kinda hoped for it, I wasn't actually expecting a 180. Wow

Hard to understate how insane this is. Rostov has over a million people, Russia's 11th most populated city and a military hub. It's like disgruntled Blackwater vets seizing San Diego against little to no resistance.

If this is true, is everyone ready for the threads blaming this revolt directly on the US?
I know one member that will be framing it that way 🙃

Ii think they are still said to have units in Africa, other parts of Ukraine, and I’d assume some in the pipeline of training and or onboarding.
Having 25k for quick deployment is actually really impressive if their total numbers are 50k.

Hearing Prighozin saying 25,000 prepared to die, is what caught my attention,

Probably not. But Russia signed the same memorandum we did vowing to protect Ukrainian sovereignty. Pretty shortsighted of them to think we wouldn’t take the opportunity to help weaken the eastern sphere of influence.
We were arming them before 2022 as well.

To be fair, they were already prepared to die in Ukraine.
From what I’ve gathered, Wagner claims they were hit by Russian munitions because they didn’t adhere to Russian MOD demands for Wagner troops to join the Russian army. This wouldn’t have been the first time they alleged the Russian military has attacked them, though it would be the first it appears it came from the top (if the claims are true).
So, their perception may be they’ve been hung out to dry in Ukraine and attacked by their own country. Wouldn’t be hard to motivate soldiers already on frontlines to do a quick coup.
All of this is speculation though, but I imagine we’ll know very soon how serious the situation is.
