FSB Starts criminal proceedings against Prigozhin for "the Organization of Armed Insurrection"

As we aproach the deadline set by the Russian MOD the FSB has today announced that it has started legal procedings against the Wagner boss , the charge is "for the organization of armed insurrection.” ... the charges come after Mr Prigozhin accused the Russian MOD of intentionally shelling his troops , he called them evil and vowed revenge.

Prigozhin said the "evil" in the military leadership must be stopped and he vowed to "march for justice" warning Russian troops not to stand in his way , this could get very interesting , we could be seeing the beginning of the Coup.

In an audio message posted to the social media platform Telegram, he said "huge numbers" of his fighters had been killed in a strike by the Russian military on a Wagner camp, though he provided no evidence to support his claims.

"Those who killed our lads, and tens of thousands of lives of Russian soldiers [in the war in Ukraine] will be punished," he said.

"I ask you not to resist. Anyone who does will be considered a threat and destroyed. That goes for any checkpoints and aviation on our way.

According to Russian state media, Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov said that Putin is aware of the rapidly unfolding situation and that “all necessary measures are being taken.”
“Prigozhin’s statements and actions are actually the calls for the beginning of an armed civil conflict on the territory of Russia and are a ‘stab in the back’ for Russian servicemen,” officials added.

The move comes after Prigozhin accused Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu of having hidden “colossal” failings on the battlefield from Putin, claiming that 2,000 Wagner men were killed as a result of strikes ordered by the Russian Ministry of Defense.

In response to Prigozhin’s allegations, Moscow issued a strong denial and a procession of generals have lined up to urge Wagner fighters to stand down.

In one video appeal, Lieutenant General Vladimir Alekseev, first deputy chief of the general staff of the armed forces, said that Prigozhin does not have the authority to give orders. “This is a state coup,” he insisted, “come to your senses!”

Prigozhin has been playing a high stakes game for a while now , the Kremlin has called his bluff and facing charges of revolt the dice is rolling as to which way this will go , compramise or combat.

I was considering making a thread about this.
I was just reading that the FSB is opening a criminal investigation this debacle.
These next few days are going to be very interesting to say the least.
My hope is that this issue will end a fruitless war.
So many lives man could be saved by this altercation.
Also to be real it is possible many MANY more will be lost due to this.

Depending on the level of support Prigozhin has in the Kremlin and on the battlefield this could be the beginning of the end for Putin , I hope it would be the end of the war as Russia would have more pressing things to sort out.

The only problem is that Prigozhin isn't exactly an improvement over Putin. Neither is Shoigu. Maybe we'll get lucky and they pull an ending to Reservoir Dogs and someone like Navalny can step into the power vacuum.

It's seems impossible to understand the reason behind all this given the mass amout of propaganda that is out from all sides.

Wagner troops have crossed Russia's border with Ukraine in multiple locations, the mercenary group's leader has now claimed.

In new audio recordings published on Telegram, Yevgeny Prigozhin says his mercenaries were "embraced" by border guards as they passed through.

He also claimed Russian conscripts order to stop them moved aside to allow his troops to pass, adding they are "now entering Rostov" - a city in south-western Russia near the Ukrainian border.

"But if anyone stands in our way, we will destroy everything that's in our way... We are moving forward, we'll go all the way," Prigozhin added.

US monitoring situation
The White House has released a brief statement on the situation in Russia.

"We are monitoring the situation and will be consulting with allies and partners on these developments," said National Security Council spokesperson Adam Hodge

this also might be a end the war move orchestrated by Putin and Prigozhin to blame the failed 3 day "special military operation" on Sergei Shoigu and the oligarchs. Putin often has blamed his governments failures on the oligarchs in the past many many times.

The problem is Putin personally took 100% responsibility for starting the "special military operation" himself in his address at the start of the war.
