More like a facilitator , Prigozhin wanted Shoigu to meet him at the military HQ in Rostov but I guess Shoigu wasn't keen on that idea , a meeting at a neutral venue offers them both safety.

I just can't see Putin "delegating" such authority to an outside player.

TBH I don't see Putin lasting much longer , Prigozhin did what he needed to do to show Putin he is a force to be reckoned with ... he aint fly away Putin.

I think you may find 1 in 4 US adults have Irish ancestors or relatives, and no need to start screaming words in block capitals.

That's 25.75% of the adult population of the USA, equating to over 52 million people.

Then poor Ukraine should have never decided to target one specific ethnic group, who had been living peacefully in one part of the country, first with a variety of new rules and laws and then with military force.

If the people in Eastern Ukraine who were targeted with rules, laws and military force from the Ukrainian government and Ukrainian Nationalists were ANYBODY but ethnic Russian people, the whole world would have been looking down at the Ukrainian government for targeting a specific nationality.

What ethnic group would that be? You do know they are ethnically all the same...lol Donbas called to separate and started the separatist party to include violence. Russia backed them with money, arms, and troops for 8 years. It would be like lower Texas decides they do not want to be a part of the US and want to go back to Mexico, and then Mexico decides to support them as Russia did with Danbas.

Seems like a crazy idea in any other place in the world when applied outside of the BS Russia propaganda with Danbas.

I don't know how analogous this is as it was toward the end of WWII. But when the Emperor of Japan was to declare surrender after the atomic bombs were dropped on Hiroshima and Nagasaki there was a failed coup attempt. It is interesting as this video walks through the history from Japan's side of things during those crucial hours, called the The Kyūjō Incident. High military leaders were trying to take over to keep the war going. It finally failed, and those involved ended up committing Seppuku.

Reading through this thread and watching as things develop brought this documentary back to mind. Good thing YouTube has a search on watched history. I believe its worth the watch and may give a little clue into what may happen:

Are they trying to lure Ukraine/ NATO into another failed offensive? Who knows. But I would not be surprised if the western "leadership" will try and take advantage of this and most likely screw it up royally. Time to write another HUGE check to Ukraine 🙄

I don't think civil war was ever the intent, just a wish by outsiders

i feel like this will cement an increase in quick and violent action in Ukraine to end the conflict, which has been one of Progs goals all along, being against the lengthy and protracted operations.

Prog has said he turning his troops back to their field base "as planned"
Rumors of immunity for his troops
Rumors of him being returned to Africa

Edit: He and "wagner" will disappear, just like Eric Prince and blackwater (Academi LLC aka Constellis)

Could this "truce" be just a ploy on Prigozhin's part to re-group, shore up his flank, and gather more forces to his side before the push to Moscow?

In Putin's eyes, Prigozhin has shown his colors, and his teeth. Putin would be a fool to allow Prigozhin anywhere near.
