Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida's government on Tuesday unveiled an action plan on his "new capitalism" programme of driving growth and wealth distribution through wage hikes, signalling his commitment to shift the economy into a higher gear.
Kishida's economic strategy will focus on investment in human resources, science and technology, innovation and start-ups, as well as green and digital transformation, as key driver of growth.
Today the Bank of Israel published a working paper exploring the potential of creating a network effect to encourage the adoption of its central bank digital currency (CBDC), the digital shekel.
It outlines three key potential triggers to generate a network effect. The government is described as “the largest merchant in the country”. Hence using a digital shekel to pay fines and taxes as well as receive benefits would immediately create adoption at scale. Additionally, the government is Israel’s largest employer, so salaries are another use case.
In other recent news, the central bank said it would roll out a digital shekel if the US or EU decide to launch their own CBDCs. Israel was also involved in Project Icebreaker, a cross border CBDC initiative with the central banks of Sweden and Norway. It was the first cross border CBDC project to use retail rather than wholesale CBDCs.
In the growing NFT market, one name continues to push the boundaries and redefine the landscape: Enjin. This aims to unify the Polkadot parachain Efinity and Enjin, creating a seamless ecosystem that promises to transform the NFT market.
Enjin co-founder and chief technology officer Witek Radomski said, “Enjin Blockchain makes the creation and mass distribution of NFTs affordable and accessible to everyone. Our aim is nothing short of revolutionizing gaming, ownership, and online identity.”
In a groundbreaking development, the world of finance has witnessed a shift as Tether (USDT), the popular stablecoin, has ousted SWIFT for USD transfers in Xapo Bank. Building on its successful launch of USDC rails in March, Xapo Bank is taking its services a step further by enabling its members to leverage the world’s most widely adopted stablecoin, USDT, for payments.
According to the announcement, this move provides an alternative to the traditional SWIFT rails, offering users a faster, more efficient, and cost-effective payment solution.
GIBRALTAR-BASED BANK XAPO LAUNCHES USD ACCOUNTS ON TETHER RAILS INSTEAD OF SWIFT
We are going to see more of this. Tether improves on the banking system.
Accordingly, Xapo Bank has now become the world’s first Fintech institution to use USDT infrastructure for transferring US dollars between accounts. This step not only highlights Xapo Bank’s commitment to innovation but also demonstrates stablecoins’ rising acceptability in the existing banking system.
Importantly, the integration is entirely compliant with the Markets in Crypto-Assets Regulation (MiCA), demonstrating Xapo Bank’s respect for regulatory standards.
While commenting on the uniqueness of the bank’s offering, Seamus Rocca, CEO of Xapo Bank emphasized that the service combines the compliance and security of a traditional bank with the speed, efficiency, and versatility of USDT, enabling Xapo Bank to deliver an exceptional banking experience to its members.
Notably, the adoption of Tether (USDT) for USD transfers in Xapo Bank sets a precedent for future developments in the financial industry. As other financial institutions witness the benefits of blockchain technology, they are likely to follow suit, leading to a broader acceptance and integration of crypto in mainstream finance.

You say this but:
From: MSN News (a report from Fox News)
Tim Arrowsmith, owner of Western Grazers, a goat-herding business in northern California, joined "Fox News Tonight" to express his concerns over his state's labor law set to go into effect on Jan. 1, 2024, warning that if a "fix" couldn't be reached, he would need to "get rid of" all his goats.
Goats have been used in California to manage the growth of vegetation for government agencies and private landowners, which could create what Arrowsmith described as a "cold fire or a cool fire that crawls along the ground" or prevent wildfires altogether.
It goes on about this but here's the point I want to point out:
Arrowsmith said "goat and sheep herders [had] been recognized as the same occupation in the state of California," which allowed for both goat and sheep herders to receive a monthly minimum wage as opposed to a minimum wage for all hours worked.
However, he said, the Department of Industrial Relations and the Employment Development Department reread the law in 2022 and deemed it said nothing about goat herders, just sheep herders.
Arrowsmith said the new interpretation would mean goat herders would receive an "hourly rate, time-and-a-half, double time, sleep time," and more, adding up to "well over $14,000 a month."
A proposed bill in the California State Assembly, AB 1099, aimed at addressing the situation. The bill put forth an amendment to maintain the current monthly minimum wage system in place for a "goat herder employed on a regularly scheduled 24-hour shift on a seven-day-a-week ‘on-call’ basis."
However, the committee to which the bill was filed "refused to hear the bill and wouldn't give it a hearing, so the bill died," Arrowsmith said.
So once again it seems like it's the policies that make these fires a fact of life in some states, rather than climate change.
The Biden-Harris Administration today released the U.S. National Clean Hydrogen Strategy and Roadmap, a comprehensive framework for accelerating the production, processing, delivery, storage, and use of clean hydrogen—a versatile and flexible energy carrier that can be produced with low or zero carbon emissions. Achieving commercial-scale hydrogen deployment is a key component of President Biden’s Investing in America agenda, and critical to building a strong clean energy economy while enabling our long-term decarbonization objectives.
The Department of Energy outlined Monday how hydrogen could become a major source of clean energy in the United States, even as the prospective industry awaits important decisions from other Biden administration agencies.
The U.S. National Clean Hydrogen Strategy and Roadmap lists dozens of actions to be taken through 2035 by policymakers, industry, regulators and others to promote the production, transport, storage and consumption of low-carbon hydrogen.
Heliogen, a leading provider of AI-enabled concentrating solar energy technology, today announced the execution of a definitive contract with The City of Lancaster, California ("The City" or "Lancaster") to produce green hydrogen to be purchased by Lancaster for the city’s growing green hydrogen fuel needs. The partnership represents Lancaster’s first hydrogen offtake agreement.
The green hydrogen will be produced at Heliogen’s Proxima hydrogen facility in Lancaster and will leverage Heliogen’s innovative technology using AI and advanced computer vision software to concentrate sunlight with mirrors, producing carbon-free hydrogen with significant economic development potential. As part of the agreement, Heliogen will provide green hydrogen to the City and will certify its carbon intensity, a measure of the CO2 emitted per kilogram of hydrogen produced.
Lancaster, the nation’s first city to embrace hydrogen power, is an inaugural winner of the U.S. Department of Energy’s H2 Twin Cities Initiative.
China could become the world's largest importer of green hydrogen by the end of this decade as it will need 13 million of imported hydrogen annually to decarbonize various industrial sectors, Deloitte said in a new report.
European demand for clean hydrogen will be around 10 million tons by 2030, while Japan and South Korea will each need 7.5 million tons of green hydrogen per year by the end of the decade, per the report, cited by South China Morning Post.

Envision Energy will supply almost 1.7GW of turbines to the Neom hydrogen mega-plant in Saudi Arabia, in a coup for the Chinese wind sector at one of the world’s highest-profile green energy projects.
Envision will deliver its 6.5MW machines to the Neom Green Hydrogen Company (NGHC)’s plant at Oxagon in the Middle East kingdom, which will link 4GW of wind, solar and batteries to produce up to 600 tonnes a day of green ammonia using more than 2GW of hydrogen electrolysis.
Grid Solutions, an integral part of the GE Vernova portfolio of energy businesses, was awarded a contract by Larsen & Toubro to supply 380 kV T155 gas-insulated substations (GIS) for the world’s largest utility-scale hydrogen plant to be powered entirely by renewable energy (producing what is sometimes referred to as “green hydrogen”). The mega plant will be located in Oxagon, the planned smart city of Neom in northwestern Saudi Arabia.
The $8.4 billion green hydrogen production plant in the heart of Saudi Arabia’s NEOM will put the Kingdom on the global map for clean energy transition, the CEO told Al Arabiya English.
Once complete, the joint venture between Acwa Power, Air Products and NEOM will be the world’s largest green hydrogen production facility – stretched over 300km2 of land, in which around 5.6 million solar panels will produce up to 2.2GW of solar energy. When operational, it promises a staggering output of carbon-free hydrogen, Edmondson said.
“Once operational, we will supply up to 600 tonnes per day of carbon-free hydrogen for transportation globally, integrating up to 4GW of solar and wind energy and exporting up to 1.2 million tonnes of green ammonia annually through the combined expertise of our three shareholders,” the CEO told Al Arabiya English.

What do you think about this?
New FDA Blood Donor Eligibility
Tin foil hat strapped back on. "Any HIV infection amongst these donors could have been long standing and, therefore, detected by current testing methods.
The conclusion was that such donors should be eligible to donate without adding concerns to the safety of the blood supply."
As you very early on connected the mRNA jabs to HIV I am wondering if they are on purpose contaminating the blood supply so that when people do come down with HIV they will blame the blood supply rather than the jabs.
Then there is the issue of co-mingling the jabbed blood with the unjabbed blood.

Maybe they can tell the government where all the missing children have gone.
