Children themselves while growing discover all on their own at some point they have primary sexual organs, before they themselves have any 'real sexual concepts', which is something required to develop a sexual identity.
To inform them early that those who feel a little different are also accepted is not abuse.
Forcing your child to wear dresses, or be tough and never cry, or fit into YOUR(lol) concept of sexuality on the other hand is abuse.

This depends on whether one thinks that superficial beauty (what one appears to be) is more vital than physical health, which obviously suffers when parents encourage their children's delusions and pump them full of unnatural levels of hormones, or worse, carve them up permanently.

Totally true in my view.
I wouldn't want to take hormones my entire life. Even though ironically most women do.
I also think surgery is sthg very radical for real life threatening malfunctions.
But people have those for fun these days.

If I don't question that what leg am I really standing on if I question people who feel they absolutely can't be happy or themselves otherwise?
