"Gender affirming care" for minors is a euphemism for castration, mastectomy, sterilization, and cancer-causing infertility drugs.

Sure sounds like child abuse to me.

It's not only that. Those are terrible things to do to children, but it starts even earlier.
They are intentionally trying to confuse children, making them question their sexuality, at and age they should be playing with blocks and coloring.
It is a form of Grooming and it is Child Abuse.
They are causing undue stress and confusion, which leads to brain damage.
They don't care.

In sum, consistent with prior research showing an association between childhood maltreatment and structural brain changes, the present findings suggest that exposure to trauma during childhood is associated with differences in cortical thickness and volume in key regions associated with attention/executive functioning, emotion regulation, and self-referential processing. Thus, childhood trauma exposure may be a risk factor for structural aberrations in the developing brain, which may have implications for the manifestation of psychopathology symptoms later in life.

Freaks are cooler than haters.
You should meditate on that.

Even among Native American tribes occasionally a boy was born who would later be known as a "soft man" for their inclination towards women and their activities. They embraced them as tribal members and let them join the womens groups. They weren't expected to participate in war parties or hunting. The important thing is no one claimed they were a woman and knew what lay beneath their clothes. There was no deception or exaggeration. That is what people today object to and selling such drastic life changes as easy and desirable.

When I was growing up freaks were long haired, anti-establishment kids many of whom used drugs. It was a sense that something in our society wasn't right and was too restrictive that motivated us. It wasn't driven by ego and demanding the world treat us "special". Today the media uses transexuals for stories and quickly discards them if they don't generate enough "hits". The meaning of freak has changed over the years.

Here’s a suggestion – raise your kids however you want to and follow your own advice to leave other families alone and stop trying to dictate and legislate what other parents and doctors feel is best for their children.

See?
I am in total agreement with what you say here. The only difference is I would add the following:
"raise your kids however you want, follow your own advice to leave other families alone, stop trying to, and letting the State try to dictate and legislate what other parents and doctors feel is best for their children.

I am trembling in fear ...

To circle back to my main point on this.

I occasionally use a calorie counting ap to make sure my portion sizes have remained healthy. The ap has a questions section, and it's very, very apparent that young teen girls with body image problems are a segment of users. They try to mostly starve themselves chasing the type of model image the fashion industry pushes.

It wasn't long ago when they were upset over thigh gaps and hip dips.

Now we see the fashion industry starting to push transgenderism is the "in" thing for beauty.

What will that promote in people like this?

You posted an ACLU link that talked about the harm being done, to Trans kids, by the new laws that are being passed.

The advocate, whom many are not trans, caused this.
They tried too much, too quick. They swung the pendulum too far.
What you are witnessing, in the ACLU article, is the over correction from that swing.
Every action has an equal or opposite reaction.

It is why I said, "the advocate does not care about the consequences, they just feel the need to act. They don't even try to see what the outcome may be."
The advocate caused it, but they will not suffer for it. The Trans community will and is what I have been saying, on every thread about this subject.

Maybe not.

This is where the entire "you are your brain" argument falls apart.
Children, their minds, are impressionable.
Many behaviors are taught and or learned.
Peer pressure is real and affects the way we think.
Environmental pressures are real and affect the way we think.
Your mind is a half painted picture through the developmental years.
There are things hardwired and there are outside influences, that can rewire, or even damage the mind.

The modeling business has always been what it is. I don't see it changing. No matter how much effort is being put forth to have more variety in body shapes/image.

#1 -- the product (the money maker) is the fashion design and how it looks on a specific body shape.

No one is pushing transgender models. There are models with the required body shape that happen also to be transgender.

"Stories/Journalism" is about making money. There's also a story about a model with Down Symdrome. www.nbcnews.com...

"They don't feel right in their bodies"
WELL . . .Guess What,
ALL MINORS FEEL ODD.
Absolutely NOBODY "feels right"going through the
natural stages in life.
THAT does not give others the right to target
vulnerable confused people.
Those that do are PREDATORS.
It is criminal in fact.

-Did anyone "feel-right" when they were
loosing their baby teeth ?
-Did anyone "feel-right" on their first day at school ?
-Did anyone "feel-right" during their
first health exam ?
-Did anyone "fee-right" on their
first day at high school, or on their
first date, or first public speaking ?
ALL MINORS FEEL ODD.
It is heinous to enable and
push extreme measures on minors
instead of reassuring them that
they are
PERFECT AS IS
Targeting minors is as bad if not worse
as those that
eg. targeting seniors
eg. targeting single women

Like I said it is
NORMAL to feel odd, it's called LIFE.

. . . some though, will do just
about anything for sex, money,
or attention. *sigh*

Teen girls are the fastest growing group of transgenders at a lot of treatment centers. That is a fact. It is a social contagion. If they think this is what makes them desirable and fashionable, they will do it. I've never noticed guys dating the heroine chic look overmuch either, but it doesn't stop girls from trying for it.

The heroine waif!

Definitely a social contagion. My buddy's daughter thought she was gay, this was around 2012, and now she's been married to a man for like 8 years and has 3 kids. The girl she was gay with is also married, to a guy, and has children. It's not much different than going through the retarded emo stage, all those emo kids grew up and are normal now.
