You might be confusing the other benefits with WIC they are allowed that in NJ along with emergency medicare and free school meals.
I know the county I was born in and was from in Jersey the Hospital E.R. had to have a dedicated section with doctors and nurses just for them tying up the Emergency room. with B.s.
Lets not forget the P.A. tags and no car insurance with them.

Sadly the joke in South Jersey was if you had an accident with a spanish person with P.a. tags 9 times of 10 they had no insurance.
And I have personal experience with it

It's not a sign of the times, it's been like this for decades.

It is not a sign of times it is an accepted stereo type for the area that is mostly true. Unless P.a. changed their license plate laws since I left

I think immigrants learn very quickly how to do as the Americans (Romans) do when in the U.S.A.

And since this is a Florida thread, That stuff doesn't happen here.
I know some of you live in areas where cash daily labor is going towards illegal immigrant's. Back in jersey I would have gotten a quote from a white guy to have illegals show up and do the work.
It doesn't happen here you do a gutter, screened in porch, gutter guards , mow your lawn, fence installed, furniture delivery is all white Caucasian males.
According to DOL, the number of minors employed in violation of child labor laws in fiscal year 2022 increased 37% over FY2021 and 283% over FY2015 (Figure A). The number of minors employed in violation of hazardous occupation orders increased 26% over FY2021 and 94% over FY2015 (DOL WHD 2022). In the six months prior to March 2023, DOL reported findings from 14 separate investigations into child labor violations. As of February 2023, it was investigating over 600 child labor cases (DOL OSEC 2023). These numbers represent just a tiny fraction of violations, most of which go unreported and uninvestigated.
at least 10 states introduced or passed laws rolling back child labor protections in the past two years.

That being said…. I think they, and when I say they, I mean Florida are going to find out real quick how much work has been done by immigrants, yes illegal immigrants.
Here in Wisconsin we are about 1/4 the population of Florida and I can tell you first hand the lack of that labor has had a significant impact.

Hire some buses and send them where needed.
Maybe that’s the answer.
The states that want them, get them the states that don’t, don’t.
See how it works out in 10 years.
