Don't know what kind of school you attended mate but the majority of teachers, teach, they don't beast.

It's not about the school I went to it;s about the reality we live in.

Unraveling the Grim Statistics of Child Sexual Abuse in 2022
While there are few definitive statistics that reveal how often child sexual abuse in schools occurs, many survivors are coming forward about their experiences. The Children’s Bureau from the Department of Health and Human Services reported that at least 9.2% of children were sexually assaulted.

9.2% for 2022 alone, that is staggeringly high, you shoud dig deep and look at 20 year statistics they're astronomical.

Teachers are heroes... but what's the first thing that comes to mind when I say Catholic Priest?

Your link says that kids are 7 times more likely to have been sexually assaulted by another student than by a teacher or school staff member.

Do you imagine all Catholics think that Priests are beasts?

Im on the other side, but i will guarantee you that they don't think anything of the sort.

What really stands out to me is that so many are jumping to conclusions... and, I believe, dangerous conclusions.
  • The teacher caused it - OK, I know we have all seen the reports of serious pedophiles masquerading as teachers as of late. Every one of them should be locked away under a prison's latrine for the rest of their natural lives. But there has been no evidence, not one shred of actual indication in this case, that such an accusation is applicable to this teacher! Since when do we judge all people by their occupation? Is this where we want to go? This lady tried to take a LOADED 9mm PISTOL from a six-year old in a public school! Someone needs to explain to me how that makes her a "pedo." She also, after being shot through her hand (which likely saved her life as it likely slowed the bullet considerably on expansion) and the chest, tried to get the other children out of harm's way! She is a hero, in every sense of the word. To then try to condemn her for something there is no indication ever happened is beyond ridiculous... it is insanity.

  • The gun should have been in a safe - NO, it is not some expected rule of gun ownership to keep a gun locked up under lock and key. That is an end run to try and force gun control (removal of the right to self-defense) without actually outlawing firearms. THAT GUN IS NO GOOD AGAINST AN INTRUDER IF IT ISN'T AVAILABLE WHEN NEEDED! A 9mm is not a hunting gun... it is a self-defense weapon. Those of you who are pushing for this are simply trying to ban guns without actually banning guns. And you're not fooling me one bit. There has never before been a need to lock all guns under lock and key until we stopped educating children about their use, and making sure they are "safely" stored behind a fireproof wall is not going to help the education deficit... it's going to do the opposite.

  • Some people have already passed legal judgement on the mother - I will admit it doesn't look good for her. As I explained earlier, the gun likely had a round chambered, which is a pretty big violation of safety protocol. However, at this point in time, we do not know how the child got the gun, where the mother had the gun, why the child thought it was OK to take the gun, or anything else about how it was acquired. For all we know, it was in a gun safe and the kid found the key! All we really know is it was the mother's gun, legally purchased and licensed, and somehow wound up in a schoolroom in the hands of her 6-year-old child. Those who want to make the mother legally liable apparently have never been around children; even the most well-behaved child at that age will do things they shouldn't do, because they are still learning right from wrong. Also, there is not a single parent in existence who has made perfect decisions at every point in time that they were parents. Not one. What you are calling for is the slipperiest of slopes, with complete abrogation of all parental rights and abilities at the bottom. Is that the world you want to live in? A world where one might as well just hand their child to the authorities at birth to not be sued/prosecuted into oblivion?
Many holding these positions now are also those who I normally agree with. But in this case, they are absolutely on the wrong side of the issue. We do not prosecute teachers for the crime of being teachers, we do not decide innocence or guilt on the basis of wild speculation, and we do not incarcerate over assumptions. If that's the kind of country you guys want, well, I was here before most of you... so GET OUT!

No teachers.....are teachers.

And pedophiles are pedophiles.

One is a profession, and the other a person who is sexually attracted to children.

Not exactly synonymous with one another.

By way of casting disparaging remarks and making insinuations about a hero teacher who got shot by a pupil?

Good luck with that.

The problem is the student is 6 years old and there is obviously an established motive that's not allowed to be released to the public.

Don't you think the first thing that happened was to ask timmy why he did it?

Origin of the gun debacle is a bit mysterious too, figured we'd know that by now.

Something's not adding up... it'll disappear.

Heck where do you think timmy got the idea to take a gun to school and pop a cap in a teacher in the first place? could that/this all be the media's fault because of their relentless attack on the 2nd Amendment and the relentless dramatizing of gun violence in the news.

Yes and i think if it was because the teacher beasted him Police would have a different slant on the matter bar it was not an accident and the child was at fault.

The firearm was legally owned by the mother, the kid resides with her, and then appears with the same gun in school, the maths not that complicated iamthevirus.

Pieces to the puzzle still remain but that's most mighty down to legal reason and/or people not wishing to admit culpability.

As to disappearing, that remains to be seen.

If you say so and yada yada yada.

Think its plainly obvious that you harbor resentment towards teachers iamthevirus, and priests by the looks of things also.

For whatever reason, god only knows.

Good luck with your silly stereotypes and assigning labels to people without any sort of evidence to back up your claim.

The Woman's a hero in my book, and i hope the kid gets the help that seems to be required if he shot her on purpose.

On that note, i bid ye fair evening, coz it just derailing the thread now.

I would have complied if it was a tit instead of a paddle with holes in it, you see their strategy is flawed.

Instead of just teacher maybe victims in general can be heroes too, that way we can all be victims of something hence heroic.

I'm from the "hot for teacher" generation... all I ever wanted to do was #### my teachers, every single one of them, I don't recall having any male teachers except maybe gym class.

You see I'm just a hate ####er like that, and I did get to bang one of my 8th grade teachers after hooking up on FB and a reunion when I was 38 years old.

/but that's another story

You tube and TikTok are full of videos of children down to the age of kindergarteners, cussing at their teachers, tearing up the classrooms, and fighting the teachers

I read an article, that I can't find again right now, but it was saying how Tik-tok is used by the Chinese for behavior control. Basically, like you said, there are thousands of videos like mentioned by NightSkye. Kids watch these videos over and over and it places a response in the child's mind. Kids see ppl reacting to situations, kids watch a bunch of videos with those reactions and then react to situations the way they saw it on tiktok.
As I looked for the article to share I see another where China is actually limiting the amount of time their youth can be on Tik-tok. The Chinese version has a preset limit of time each child can view their version of Tik-tok.
I do wonder how much things like our kids watching all these videos constantly has anything to do with our children being so violent.

I also read about something called the tiktok tick. Apparently a handful of young girls developed a sort of turrets syndrome where they make these weird clicking noises with there tongue's and spout out certain words or phrases. This has happened all over the US and these children are in different parts of the country and yet have all developed the same sort of tick. They pieced it together because these children who have never met are all doing the same tongue clicking noises and involuntarily spouting out the same words and phrases. The common bond between cases was the excessive use of tiktok.

I wonder if this Could be a major player in what's going on.
I bet it's not helping.

I've already wrote an extensive paper (in 2018) on social media and the rise of teen suicides along with it. When. I presented the paper to other parents it was quickly dismissed and ignored. I wondered then if us as adults are so engulfed in our own social media that SM itself has become more important to us than these issues.
I wrote another paper on that. Not popular at all btw. I asked the question, if we confirmed that social media was the cause of all these teen suicides, and the falling mental state of our children, would adults be willing to shut social media down to protect our children.
I got crickets...
No answer.
Wouldn't even acknowledge me with the question. I was dismissed in every way possible. I learned the answer is no. Social media is too important to just do away with. Or that was the final note I came up with when speaking to adults and parents.
Everyone is hooked on social media and are blinded to the affects it has had on our youth.
Not to mention how it has completely changed how we socialize. If you're from back when things were good, you know how people don't socialize, in person anymore like we use to.
Example: was having a deep conversation with a guy (older than me mind you) and we were really in deep in this conversation. It was my turn to speak and was speaking when a chime goes off on his phone. I'm still speaking but he gets deeply involved with a conversation on his FB. And I mean he checked out completely from our conversation to intently reply to whatever was being said in fb. He ghosted mine and his convo for almost five minutes before, like coming back into the real world with me sitting in front of him, and says to me, "sorry, I was responding to a guy about fantasy football argument we are having.

IMO: rude! But this has become a "norm." In person socialization being replaced by artificial socialization. (Weve all seen the table full of people and everyone is looking at their phones)

Could this be a major factor in all of this? If so, add this in with all the other factors.....and it's just going to get worse and worse.
What will the next generation of kids be like???

I think a lot more is at play than what is immediately obvious.

I don't have TikTok, so the only time I would see one, was when it was sent to me or it was in a post.

When YouTube started with the shorts, I realized just how addicting they were. You don't have time to actually think about anything you see, before your synapses are hit with another emotionally triggering image, and they keep on flipping.

I refuse to watch more than two shorts in a row. It is just to easy to get caught up in the brain drain, and I have no doubt that they is exactly what the game plan is.

Not quite the article I was looking for but addresses the same issues of mind/behavior modification using Tik-tok.

Interesting. I can see where a constant triggering of the brain with images, requiring no active thought, could possibly have a negative effect.

I something that makes you go hmmmm.
