Before police revealed the gun was legally purchased by the 6-year-old's mother, Andrew Block, an associate professor at the University of Virginia Law School, told CNN there was a scenario where the parents could be held criminally liable if the weapon belonged to them and they did not keep it properly locked up. But in Virginia, that's only a Class 1 misdemeanor, Block said.

Possible charges coming for the mom. But only a misdemeanor. Wow




And the kid apparently does have some issues.

The 6-year-old was combative and struck the employee restraining him and officers took control, escorting him out of the building and into a police car, police said.

They're evaluating his mental health condition.

Did the police say how the 6 year old even got the gun? What are the laws in USA on gun safes? I'm assuming different states have different rules?

If the gun was legally owned, and the child took the thing without permission, not really that much more they can charge the woman with other than a misdemeanor.

And the kid apparently does have some issues.

Indeed if he somehow thinks it's acceptable to bring guns to school and then shoot a teacher.

They're evaluating his mental health condition.

Hopefully, he receives the help that he requires.

Still cant wait to hear the teachers take on what went down all the same.

Maybe we should just start keeping our teachers behind a pane of bulletproof glass like a bank teller.

Afterall this is their wonderful society they've created with their liberal progressive agenda they've been pushing down everyone's throat the past 30-40 years.

Well, thats hardly practical now is it, nevermind counter-productive and simply sends the incorrect message.

Afterall this is their wonderful society they've created with their liberal progressive agenda they've been pushing down everyone's throat the past 30-40 years.

Well any road bringing guns to school is a no'no never mind the reason and a classroom full of 6 years olds certainly not the place to have one.

Lets just be thankful he did not kill the teacher and that the weapon is now out of his hands so he cannot hurt himself or anyone else.

You tube and TikTok are full of videos of children down to the age of kindergarteners, cussing at their teachers, tearing up the classrooms, and fighting the teachers.

This is happening everywhere. As I shared in another post, my neighbor's kid is suspended from school at least once a month, sometimes more, because of his poor attitude and his potty mouth.

I have a very close friend that has been a school teacher for over 30 years, she confided in me just last week that she is seriously thinking about quitting because the children are becoming impossible and the parents won't work with her.

Because they keep such good tabs on me, videos of "The Super Nanny", showed up in my feed. I was shocked at just how out of control some of these children are. One family admitted they were so afraid of their child they had to lock their bedroom door at night.

The lack of discipline is beyond our of control.

I volunteer with a group of women that home school their children, the difference in what I see in those children over some of the others is further apart than night and day. The solution here appears to be the level of involvement and discipline provided by the parent.

Sadly this is already fading from the spotlight and we are not going to hear much more on it beyond maybe the origin of the gun.

The reality of the shocking motive behind the incident will not fit the narrative be it a hate crime committed by a 6 year old or a 6 year old being manipulated/dominated by a teacher enough to have premeditated the act.

We're just never going to know, you already know what you are to take away from this (Teacher = hero + Guns = bad)

It's odd or maybe just fortune how teachers can avoid the stigma of say a catholic priest.

Teachers they're always heroes, even though they abuse their positions of power and the children themselves at rate of probably 10 times the amount... considering the statistics last time Iooked at the 20 year data of just sexual abuse alone in the public school system.

How many does it take before all teachers become bad like all catholic priests?

When I was 6 years old all I wanted to do was play football, Bulldog, Relievo and Japs and Commandoes and other childhood games.
The thought of actually shooting a teacher would never have crossed my mind let alone the fact that it would have been impossible to do so.
Of course there were good and bad school teachers and I liked/disliked some more than others; but never would I have considered actually doing them any physical harm, not at 6 years old.

I'm not commenting on gun control/2nd Amendment etc - a debate and discussion I've had on numerous occasions in the past, its been done to the nth degree.
But surely there has to be a recognition that something is wrong, something is broken and it needs fixing.

I suspect this is just another manifestation of a greater ill and malevolence in society that is eating away at its very soul and essence.

The majority of our attention is on the inevitable financial collapse of America.

We are blind to the fact that the financial collapse will leave us without a leg to stand on, because our society has already collapsed. Our foundation is too weak to support us, so coming back from the edge is going to be more difficult, if not impossible.

In every generation the young speaks of how they were failed by the previous generation. The elders always speak of the naivety of the the younger generation and their ungratefulness.

This is going to be the first full generation in America were the children will not do better financially than their parents, because the system will make it impossible for them to do so.

All those lives given up for a place of freedom, is being stripped to the core. This time, with people begging and lining up to be slaves, instead of fighting, and dying to be free of the chains.

It would be a horrible legacy to leave, except there will likely be no one left that will want to know or to give a damn.

Most people's opinion will be that she's a hero because she got shot for her troubles and most lightly prevented the kid from shooting others.

As to guns, well in the hands of a six-year-old and unsupervised, aye that's "bad" and a clear recipe for disaster.

If you require proof of such simply take a look at what happened.

We have been through this with you already, the teacher is a hero, not much doubt about that given what she went through.

And guns in the hands of 6-year-olds, are indeed bad as any sane human being can establish without too much thought or trouble.

I had a somewhat a similar childhood.

As to teachers, some i hated, others i adored.

I certainly did not wish to kill any of them nether, or anyone else for that matter, at the tender age of six years old.

Don't know what kind of school you attended mate but the majority of teachers, teach, they don't beast.

It's not impossible, there is however no evidence to suggest the lady in question was/is anything other than a great teacher, as is evidenced by the opinions her students have expressed.
