Protesting the Ukraine war is banned in Russia, so young people are sabotaging trains and railroad tracks instead: UK intel

Young activists against the Kremlin's nearly two-year war with Ukraine have turned to sabotaging trains and railways in Russia as a way to protest Moscow's invasion of the Eastern European country, creating real headaches for Russian authorities, according to British intelligence.

'Russia is Hamas': Ukraine warns Israelis Moscow has 'picked a side'

“Israel is dealing with terrorism, and Ukraine is dealing with terrorism. Terror is terror, no matter where and against whom - we must not allow it to grow! Russia = Hamas.“

Source

Those are some strong words!

It seems like Ukraine wants all of these conflicts merged into WWIII.

Iran has been supplying Russia with the Shahed drones and or the capability to manufacture them, though I don't see them as the best of allies. What they have in common is they are dictatorships who don't want democracies to usurp their dictator powers, so they see democracies as a common enemy even if they aren't great friends.

Iran has been funding Hamas, in addition to supplying Russia with drones, so that sort of gives an indirect link between Russia and Hamas. The relationship between Russia and Israel has been precarious which is why Israel didn't really want to pick sides too openly in the Russia-Ukraine conflict.

Why Israel Refused to Help Ukraine Defend Itself From Russian Missiles

Zelenskyy and his aides are reportedly wondering if Bennett’s offer to mediate between the sides might have been motivated less by any real hope of brokering a peace deal than by his desire to remain neutral so he can avoid alienating Putin. “His initiative looks like an excuse for why he is not speaking out against Russia, not providing weapons to Ukraine, and not sanctioning Russia,” a Ukrainian official told Ravid.
It seemed like Israel was trying not to alienate Russia, by refusing to allow Ukraine access to their air defense systems, and by not sanctioning Russia.

According to a new report, it looks like Ukrainians are responsible for the Nord pipeline sabotage.

Roman Chervinsky, a former commander of one of the Ukrainian special forces units, was the "coordinator of the Nord Stream operation" and managed a six-person team that carried out the devastating multibillion-dollar infrastructure attack in September 2022, according to the report. The outlet said Chervinsky and the group of six people rented a sailboat under false identities and used deep-sea diving equipment to place explosive charges on the gas pipelines. Chervinsky did not act alone and did not plan the operation, but was obeying the orders of high-ranking officers who ultimately answered to Ukraine’s highest-ranking military officer, Valery Zaluzhny, the Post said, citing people familiar with his role.

Didn't that get blamed on Russia initially, and helped garner support for Ukraine? This is part of conspiracies beyond Ukranians. That general didn't just pull this operation out of his bum. Someone from somewhere else more powerful than Ukraine gave him that idea and promised protection and rewards. Much rewards.

Actually it was blamed on the US navy. We still don't know who caused it we just have a list of suspects. Though I will say Russian propaganda was heavy on this one trying to accuse the US and yes Ukraine. But no proof was ever offered

Russian forces launched a large-scale missile and drone strike series against Ukraine on the night of November 10 to 11, targeting Kyiv Oblast for the first time in 52 days. Ukrainian military sources reported on November 11 that Russian forces launched 31 Shahed 131/136 drones, two Kh-59 missiles, one Kh-31 missile, one P-800 Onyx anti-ship missile, and an S-300 missile against various targets in Ukraine, and specifically targeted Kyiv Oblast with either an Iskander-M or an S-400 missile. Ukrainian air defenses downed 19 Shaheds (primarily targeting front line areas), one Kh-59 missile, and used a Patriot air defense system to destroy the ballistic missile targeting Kyiv Oblast.

Russian forces continued offensive operations along the Kupyansk-Svatove-Kreminna line, near Bakhmut, near Avdiivka, west and southwest of Donetsk City, in the Donetsk-Zaporizhia Oblast border area, and in western Zaporizhia Oblast and advanced near Avdiivka.

Russians surrender massively in the Tavria direction

Russian losses in the war

As of Monday, November 13, Russia's losses in the war in Ukraine amounted to 800 occupiers. The total number of casualties in the Russian army since the beginning of the invasion is reported to be 312,550 military personnel.
Moreover, the Ukrainian Armed Forces reportedly destroyed 10 artillery systems, 5 tanks, and 2 drones in the past day.

It would appear that Mondays are not good for the Russians.

Things are not looking up for the invaders.

Changes ahead. Russian new vehicles stand out from prior models

Fundamental changes in the latest batch of BMP-3 vehicles include incorporating an electronic warfare system. This technology is designed to counter unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), making communication between the UAV and its operator difficult or impossible.

Source

So, things seem to be advancing for the Russian Industrial Complex. New tanks with better tech.

Thoughts?

If you're taking about your source explaining improvements to BMP-3s, they may look sort of like tanks but technically they lack the armor and firepower of a tank, it's called an IFV or Infantry Fighting Vehicle.

Drones and UAVs are real problems for both sides in this conflict, so any means of disabling the other side's drones and UAVs like EW (electronic warfare) can help.

Russia performs poorly in areas like logistics but they do have good EW systems, so good that Ukraine goes through 5000-10000 drones a month, but those are so cheap they just get more and launch more instead of looking for those taken out by EW.

This 5 minute video gives an interesting description of Russian attacks from Mykilske, where they were given orders to leave that settlement and take some fields. Ukraine drones spotted the Russian assault forces before they even left Mykilske and started destroying them before they left there. Russia lost at least 18 tanks and armored vehicles, never leaving the settlement.

Russia didn't accept defeat and two days later made a second assault, and lost those vehicles too.

Russia made another attack north of there, which similarly failed, so they lost at least 40 pieces of equipment. Those successful Ukraine defenses wouldn't have been possible without their massive use of drones.

13 November Update

Ukrainian and Russian sources noted that weather conditions are impacting the battlespace but not halting operations. Ukrainian Ground Forces Spokesperson Lieutenant Colonel Volodymyr Fityo noted on November 13 that rain and mud in Donbas impede the speed of ground maneuver advances.

US Ambassador to Ukraine Bridget Brink stated that the 100th civilian ship departed the Black Sea corridor for civilian vessels on November 13, amid continued Russian efforts to deter usage of the corridor. Brink also stated that Ukraine has used the corridor to export 3.7 million tons of food and other goods, presumably since the first civilian vessel successfully departed from a Ukrainian port through the corridor on August 15.

Russian forces continued offensive operations along the Kupyansk-Svatove line, near Bakhmut, near Avdiivka, west and southwest of Donetsk City, the Donetsk-Zaporizhia Oblast border area, and in western Zaporizhia Oblast and advanced in some areas of the frontline.
