Talk about a booby prize.

All they would win would be a scenario something reminiscent of the troubles in Northern Ireland only on steroids.

Nine times the size of the place or thereabouts, requiring millions of troops(about 2.5 million) permanently stationed there to keep the peace.

Talk about having bitten off far more than you can chew, they would have bodies coming home in bags every day of the week.

Putin is a fool even to have contemplated this invasion never mind doubling down and threatening to chuck nukes out the pram.

No no 2.5 million is too small my friend, for the next stage of the plan Putin will position roughly 7.5 Million in Ukraine for preparation of the next steps that will see most of Europe freed from Russian oppressing governments.

Shouldn't have banned those ww2 veterans from celebrating victory day, shouldn't have torn down all those memorials and statues, shouldn't have treated Russians as non-humans and oppressed them or taken away their rights.

I'm looking at Poland, Latvia, Lithuania and Estonia... *points and winks*

This is the same excuse for u.s. drone strikes. We have no choice to fire back and kill near by civilians!

Yes, there is a choice. We didnt have to go there and occupy a country which caused more deaths and destruction than there ever would be.

And Russians didnt have to invade.

Stop making excuses for murder and war.

So Russians should have waited for Murika, NATO and good old Ukrainian Nazi boys to kick down its door and let 10s of millions of Russians die?

Sound strategic logic my friend!

Also 2 decades and 8 severe years of warnings is enough time for the world to stop and think "Hey maybe they are not joking and we should actually respect their sovereign right?"

Why do you think NATO would ever invade russia?

Did we invade in the 90s when you were practically defenseless?

Did we invade this summer when you were practically defenseless?

Has NATO ever threatened to invade russia?

Absurd.

But yes, after 8 years of warnings and sanctions, russia *should* have learned to respect Ukraine's 'sovereign rights'.

Unfortunately, that never happened.

In 8 years of warnings, maybe Ukraine should have stopped killing those Ethnic Russians in the Eastern region?

Whose number of casualties is almost 7x as much as those of Ukrainian civilians during this special operation...

Where was the world then MidnightWatcher? Oh that's right the world didn't give a flying f and when they visited those regions said "We see no wrong here" and swept all evidence under the rug.

I do see the wrong, and keep slapping you in the face with it.

Ukraine is allowed to defend itself from foreign invasion, and 'civilians' violently attacking their government and military in an illegal secession effort (civil war) are legitimate targets.

Don't like it?

Then go complain to russia about their 2014 invasion, they did this to themselves.

Ukraine leaders have been lying and deceiving and corrupt for many years. The fact that U.S. President Joe Biden and his Son (Hunter) loved to "do business" there, tells you all you need to know about Ukraine.

Because Gurba and Drunky Yeltsin made a sweet deal with the West, they collapse the soviet union for them and they don't invade Russia but can have most of the pie!

Them hundreds of billions in sales of goods if not trillion+ was a good payoff, not to mention stationing NATO bases even closer. It was a wet dream for the West and so they stuck to their promise, as soon as Putin showed up they went "Oh no this guy we can't control we better go back on our promises".

Even though Putin was prepared to co-operate with the West they spat in Russia's face and what did Obama say to Putin, oh right it was something along the lines of "You're just a gas station owner, sit down and be a good boy".

Russia of today and future things that will unfold will be the biggest historical underdog story

Also Murika and Europe got too cocky forgetting and erasing how much Russia has done for them in the past 200 years, so who's fault is it really?

Current Ukraine situation could have been handled better yes, and Putin is kind of to blame for it unfolding. But most of the blame is on cocky Murika and NATO, two decades of proposals to resolve things diplomatically and 8 years of severe warnings is enough for any rational leadership to go "Maybe we should listen and not push a bear into a corner?". However instead of that they went with plan B push the bear into the corner and create a hardcore nazi government on the front porch of Russia itself. Yeh that was going to work out well, sound f*cking logic by the West! Just how they thought arming and funding terrorists not once but twice through out recent history was going to work out well.

Can really thank the Murikan and European governments for Al Qaeda and ISIS, solid work just 10/10 logic and strategic worth. Don't even get me on the displacement of all those from the middle east that still have not recovered to this day!

*starts slow clapping* takes a whole kind of special to then go and cause an illegal revolution in Ukraine and form a Nazi pro-Bandera government on the front porch of Russia.

Hey, when Ukrainians who are NATO trained and are as extremist as I say, will start clapping back in Europe and America for being thrown under the bus and having Ukraine handed over to Putin.

Do me a favor and remember this conversation

Oh it's going to be the Europeans and a few Americans unfortunately, 10s of thousands of those NATO trained Nazi boys escaped to Europe after the 1st day of the special operation, some even made it as far as America.

Their hatred is going to be strong! So if I was America or Europe I would be concerned and worried about these extremist partisans.

You see I'd agree with you there but the Eastern region never attacked any targets until they started being shelled by Kyiv and their Nazi boys.

So the two situations are not entirely the same, that's what you and so many others are not getting.

Just because they got worried and asked for Russia to take them in as well months after the annexation of Crimea, does not mean the Ukrainian Hunta should have started shelling them. They could have sat down with them and said look we promise we won't oppress you because you are mostly Ethnic Russians, but instead they went "Here are some NATO shells for 8 years". 10/10 definitely the most idiotic reaction by Kyiv and their Nazi boys!

Yeh fun little fact Ukraine and the Ukrainian leadership is even more corrupt than Russian leadership is, I mean to sell billions in aid provided to your own citizens who are starving and are torn by war, and thinking you won't get caught takes a special kind of corruption.

Also for those of you who think there will be a revolution in Russia, there won't be because of the following reasons:

1. All opposition and supporters of the opposition ran for the border as soon as mobilisation was announced.

2. Navalny who returned and got jailed, no one raised banners or flags to free him so he was a failed project.

3. The remaining opposition made up of youth that gets paid off to protest is far too small to make any change, hell they keep stringing all the agencies along anyway. It might look good on CNN, MSM, FOX, etc but in reality the numbers are 10x less than they were when Navalny was running free, even then it was just meetings with 0 change at all so money to fund the color revolution was just being wasted.

4. The only one who could have made a change got waxed by the FSB because of a money dispute between him and high-ranking officials he was paying off.

5. Russia is still horrified by the previous Revolution, the Civil war, and what it leads to. So Russians would rather nuke themselves than have the 2nd repeat of that!

6. Russia is too corrupt and anyone trying to fund a revolution will keep basically throwing truck loads of cash into a black hole.

Welcome to Russia where such operations failed for the past 20 years and will continue to fail because no one can understand Russians unless they've lived among them for 10 years.

And even if by some miracle someone greases Putin, would you really want someone as extreme and willing to go that dark to lead a Russia that has nukes?

You all are f*cking wild over there in Washington and Brussels! Thinking the next guy won't by like Putin, hell the next guy might be 10x if not 100x worse someone even closer to being a Stalin.

Also did anyone notice the protests happening in Europe pre-winter especially after good old partner Murika blew up one of the main sources of energy and heat?

That partnership just hit a whole new level of trust

By the looks of things America didn't ask Europeans if they wanted the pipelines taken out *points and laughs*

Don't worry the 80% - 90% collected reserve will save you! Just one problem though if the reserve was really that big they wouldn't be shutting down so many factories and putting on such restrictions.

So clearly the E.U leadership and heads of those European states are lying to their people, so looks like we could see some serious uprisings this coming winter in Europe.

Poor Stoltenberg looked like he was about to start crying during his conference, also the number of times he mentioned "NATO will not be a party to this conflict" just signaled that NATO is throwing Ukraine under the bus

Also Zelensky just signed Ukraine's death sentence, him and his 2 Nazi boys did a public televised signing of the request to join NATO officially as an answer to the annexation. Welp... looks like the sledgehammer is going to be coming down for sure and if 30 members of NATO vote "yes" for Ukraine to join it's not regular take over it's the nuking of Ukraine that will go down.

Lets hope Ukrainians hang Zelensky over this or grease him in time

I said there was no fighting there at first, the fighting started once Kyiv and their Nazi boys started shelling them. It happened a few months right after 2014 annexation of Crimea, because Donbas was like "Hey Putin we feel kind of threatened too can you help annex us too?".

So in panic, Kyiv called them separatists and terrorists and started shelling them, in return the Donbas region got together and started fighting Kyiv and their Nazi boys for the past 8 years.

However the fighting only happened after Kyiv decided to genocide them and shell them repeatedly!

Complete fiction.

russia has been fighting in Luhansk since 2014, and it started with that invasion in 2014.

Feel free to keep trying though, I suspect many could use a good laugh, what with all the russian nuke threats lately.

I really don't know what fantasy world you live in.

Sure, there's been conflict in Luhansk and Donetsk for some time but it really started when Putin ordered his Kremlin armed and funded goon squads into the region round about 2011.
These were Ultra-Nationalist, Neo-Nazi Militia's whose sole purpose was to agitate, provoke and terrorise.
They attacked official Ukrainian installations.
They intimidated and assaulted local Ukrainian nationals - who were in the majority.
They attacked non-Orthodox Christians and Jews alike.
There were deaths.

Predictably the Ukrainian government retaliated, sometimes quite brutally.

And so Putin got his wish and here we are on the brink of a possible WWIII.

And you're on the vinegar stroke of your wet dream with a nuclear exchange and the imminent arrival of your Future Russian Tzar.
