Amazing how many Constitutional Scholars there are in these threads....

When it comes to 2nd Amendment, ATS is rife with constitutional scholars.

i do not think it will happen, especially for the blue states. But i feel more of a shift . it still baffles me that more people do not believe a baby in the womb is considered a life.

Funny that...

A clump of cells on Mars would be considered "LIFE", and everyone would be excited..!!

A clump of cells inside a woman's womb is not considered life by a many of the same people.

This is truly a clown world we live in.

Everywhere in the MSM I look on the TV and Internet I am hearing and reading how this opinion draft

“ Won’t stop at abortion and sets the precedent for making inter-racial marriage and and gay marriage illegal”

I've been seeing the same thing I believe Swallwell or however you spell his name has been tweeting that out. Not sure how the two correlate but there are many people commenting on that tweet agreeing with him. Really blows my mind that people think Republicans want that at all in this day and age.

As a white male married to a black female I find that talk utterly ridiculous and enflaming, they want people to get mad at this point.

Consider that we are all still just clumps of cells, just that our cells have differentiated a bit more.

As long as Clarence Thomas is on the court, interracial marriage will remain legal. Same sex marriage, though, is definitely in the right's crosshairs. So is "Griswald", i.e. the right to access contraception.

What laws would have to be repealed to allow States to limit interracial and same sex marriages ?🪀

It's complete propaganda nonsense, it would take an unconstitutional constitutional amendment, among other things, that NOBODY is pushing for.

63 million kids have been snuffed out since 1973.

That's a significant number.

No laws to repeal, just SCOTUS judicial precedents to overturn, Loving v. Virginia, Griswold v. Connecticut, Eisenstadt v. Baird and Obergefell v. Hodges, to name a few, that effectively nullified state prohibitions that, many of which, are still on the books, just like some states still have old abortion laws on the books that will immediately kick back in when the real SCOTUS ruling, addressing Roe V Wade and Planned Parenthood v. Casey, overturns those precedents.

They're all based on the same constitutional arguments that the courts seems to have rejected in Alito's draft opinion.

This sounds totally suspect. Consider the timing and the upcoming November elections. They are trying to stir up what remains of their miserable base.

These are the people that if they can't sell the aborted baby parts for profit, they will groom the ones that are born and turn them into deviant twisted play toys.

The left, lead by the LGBTQ-Minor Attracted-Pedophiles are on a complete rampage. Gay marriage was a slippery slope and look where we are today.

So, you're saying if Justice Thomas dies, suddenly interracial marriage will become illegal? No one else on the Supreme Court will uphold interracial marriage? Did you know it takes 5 of 9 Justices to render a decision?

I wonder how Justice Sotomayor would weigh on on that? Do you think she would be against interracial marriage?

Do you dream this stuff up all on your own?

The justification for the Loving V Virgina ruling was based on the same constitutional arguments that Alito's opinion just shot down.

Sen. Mike Braun said during a media call Tuesday that the U.S. Supreme Court was wrong to legalize interracial marriage decades ago.

That decision should have been left to individual states, he said.

I mean that's the thing I've never heard of anyone trying to limit interracial marriage but full blown skinhead racists.

That's why I don't understand why the D's are pushing that the R's are trying to take that and gar marriage away. It's complete fear-mongering and the sad part is that PEOPLE ARE BUYING IT.

If you try to even talk to these people they automatically will start name calling, telling you, you are 12 or just flat out telling you that your opinion is wrong and theirs is right and because you don't agree with them you are sexist, racist or some other ISM they will pull out on you.

I like to dabble on Reddit every now and than but right now the place is a complete circle jerk of an echo chamber with all these people pushing exactly this false narrative.
