Yes, I can see how human rights are being infringed upon by thousands of voluntary abortions that don't affect the liberties or quality of life for society.

No one much misses any of the Thugs killed up on Chicago's South Side either.

Funny Comparison: Their killers usually don't get arrested either.

Taking the Federal Gov out of the equasion of killing babies and leaving it to the decision of the states is not misogyny

Misogyny aside, how are you gonna feel when Congress passes a bill to codify Roe V Wade or ban abortion?

It appears most of the women think this tentative reversal is patriarchal buffoonery and really, that's all I need to hear because "their body, their choice" and any other argument is a clumsy attempt by busybodies to take away autonomy and individual liberty.

If my partner believes she has a right to abort, I will defend to my last breath her capacity to do so. I doubt it ever happens but that autonomy cannot be revoked because it's only one more step in the journey to totalitarian society.

we have so many option now to prevent pregnancy. Almost to not need abortion. i understand for very rare circumstances and i understand a right to medical freedom. But because we have other options beside killing babies why do we not use them. Why not have every child at reproductive age be put on birth control instead of abortion? If you really want to have unwanted pregnancy stopped. It is an easier, more humane solution. Have planned parenthood put internal arm birth control for free. solution easy..a reply to: TzarChasm

The problem here is that the US has so many taboos around contraception. Particularly condoms. So many men refuse to wear them because of the stigma or because of urban myths.

If you're sleeping with guys that refuse to wear a condom because of stigma or urban myths, maybe you need to be more choosy about your partners.

Your poor life choices are not the baby's fault.

Maybe you should direct your ire at the people who spread this misinformation. If this stigma didn't exist, then there would be fewer unplanned pregnancies, and thus fewer abortions.

Remember, it's not just the woman making a poor life choice, it's also a guy who believes some garbage story that they read on the internet about chemicals in condoms effecting fertility or restricting blood flow, or whatever the doom porn of the day is.

Ignorance swings both ways.

Where did I say only women make poor life choices?

Don't make things up please.

Guys who believe that nonsense are morons.

Your bodily autonomy allows you to choose not to have sex with morons. If this wanton recklessness with an important life choice didn't exist, there would be fewer unplanned pregnancies.

What ever happened to the case were the Guy sued saying he wanted to keep the child ?

I do find some merit to the fact that the guy needs to have a say also in a decision to abort .

After all both parties knew what could happen .

Rape on the other hand I'm kind of torn .

I'm referring to two consenting adults, that makes up 95% or more of pregnancies

You think about this, with two consenting adults, why do you think so many women have abortions.
Ponder that.

Because they didn't say no or practice safe sex or pop a Plan B just in case, and then ended up pregnant.

Caution: Irony Ahead

Dude rapes. He gets a bullet to the back of the head. Society doesn't want that? No trade on the abortion due to rape thingy.

Too many time you hear that beeyotch cry, "Rape!!" But, it was just her remorse for what she went along with.

How many actresses was it that Harvey Weinstein impregnated? Whores don't get pregnant often either.

Actually it absolutely is retruend to states right

Actually, show me. Please site from the draft where it absolutely hands women's reproductive rights exclusively to the states. Show me where the draft opinion bars the federal government through Congress from banning abortion or codifying Roe V Wade.

If this decision nullifies R v W, The States will automatically have their own authority to legislate because the Federal Laws are silent. 🚬

But the politicians are NOT silent. Schumer and Pelosi are already promising to codify Roe. While the GOP is fuming over states like California and New York being sanctuary states for abortion seekers, they're looking at banning abortion altogether, should they win the house and senate in the fall.

And already it has begun.

(and so it begins. . . )

The de-humanization of the unborn human.

Because if you don't think of them as living, growing, humans, then you can do whatever you want to them.

Explain to me why impregnation is considered a human right and abortion isn't. By law, any consenting adult of any background with any qualification or lack thereof is granted the ability to reproduce but not the ability to terminate gestation. If I didn't know better, I'd say this isn't about enforcing family values but making sure the population stays at peak numbers regardless of how many children are removed and rehoused by the state. If abortion is unethical and borderline sinful because human rights, it reasonably follows that parenthood must be licensed and regulated by the state to ensure the maximum welfare of children nationwide...because human rights. Unless that kind of thing stops being relevant the moment they are born?

Laws are put in place to follow. It's up to the people whether or not they want to follow them. Everyone knows that if you break the law, there are consequences to pay.

It's almost like you either didn't read my remarks or didn't really think about your response.

It was in response to this: "it reasonably follows that parenthood must be licensed and regulated by the state"

You asked for a citation, I gave one. 🐔

We already know about the fuming (D) and (R) responses 🐔

(R)s passing legislation in 2023 or 2024 is futile isn't it 🐔

And then women won't be able to own property.

And then women won't be able to vote.

Hyperbole much?

(D)s would have to end the Filibuster I think.

And a "Codified" law would be challenged as unConstitutional wouldn't it 🐔

Video: South Texans adapt to near-total abortion ban with Plan B pills and trips out of state

Court decisions have gone back and forth on the ban’s enforceability over several weeks. While the law’s constitutionality is questioned, the Biden administration has asked the U.S. Supreme Court to stop enforcement of the ban. The high court will hear two legal challenges to the law beginning at 9 a.m. Monday. For now, the near-total abortion ban is still being enforced.
